Everybody with the right to live and work in the country can start any business of his choice. No restrictions whatsoever.

My advice for you is to look at Liverpool with postcode 2170. Contact this agent (Starr Partners) http://www.starrpartners.com.au/ send them a message if they can be of help because according to the law, you need to view the accommodations first and apply before anyone can give you any house. Liverpool is like the city of migrants because as a new migrant, you want a place close to industries and also fairly cheap accommodations.

Thank you very much..

Hi people,

Good day hope this meets you well... please I am seeking more information. I currently got my grant for Nsw Sydney. I am seeking assistance for agents or the best way to get a house or an apartment in the inner west of Sydney. I would greatly appreciate any information I get. If you have better suggestions please let me know.. I am seeking an area with good childcare, schools and very good commutes train and car, with easy access to UNSW and the CBD. Thank you

Hi SallyAUS can an assistant project manager (construction) with about one year experience assess with vetassess as well as norminate construction project manager occupation ?

HI, I am no expert, but my advice is that if you are still with the company and in that position, then that means as each month passes by your experience is growing hence you can apply for an assessment. But this tricky Vetassess will most definitely taken one year meaning that your positive outcome letter will have you written as experience-0 months.

then again what if they take more than a year means that you have no more months on offer e.g I have seen where people have 7 years experience and Vetassess returns the positive assessment back with 4 years 8 months experience. I hope you understand

Secondly I advice you read the requirements on the vetasses website to be sure that the requirements are still the same.

I guess before your role as assistant project manager you had other Project builder related roles( so more years of experience)

you could nominate project builder to get a positive outcome. However it has no state sponsorship 190 only skilled visa 189. so if you have more years working as a builder you may have more points... and because with the above it is 0 points only 15 points for education... with project builder if you have some years of experience you may get 5 points and above so that may help. plus 15 points for education ( check a point calculator)

But please make proper website checks as well to keep you updated as requirements are always changing.

Wow, You have just extricated me from the hook of Naija transcript. I would have been done with this assessment. My MSc was actually in Structural Design and Construction Management, and first degree, Civil Engineering (Building and Construction Major). I have the MSc diploma supplement and the certificate. It that what you submitted to vetassess? Did you submit organisational chart?

I submitted an organisational chart
2. company lettered headed paper with the roles held at the company signed off by the MD ( follow the break down Vetassess wants, your role/ job description held at your company should match the nominated occupation)-
3. Payslips

I am also nominating the same occupation. Have been waiting for FUTO to send my transcript to Vetassess since May 2017. Not sure whether they will accept only my UK MSc credentials without the underpinning first degree. How many years were you positively assessed? Sent you a PM.

Hi this is where GOD surprised me While I was waiting for my naija transcript to travel and reach vetasses. I had applied with what i had my Msc in Construction Project Management (UK) and it was more than enough. Apparently, with Vetasses A Masters degree in the Nominated occupation esp CPM or Project builder is more than enough...

for experience ideally you must have at least more than a year. because if eg you submit with 2 years experience vetasses will remove one year and your positive outcome year will be least a year some times even more... it can be positive outcome experience 10 months. I hope you understand

@ Sallyaud
Thanks for your information. I also want to ask if you included your academic certificate with your transcripts for skills assessment. Although I do have my academic certificate with me. Unfortunately, I was told that the university doesn't issue the certificate twice. What do I have to do die to this regard. Thanks for your time

what vetasses wants for the certificate is a certified copy of your uni certificate by your uni.. so what this means is that you will send a coloured scanned copy or submit a coloured copy to the office processing your transcript... I had my registrar's office certify my certificate and submitted it to the office processing my transcript for it to be added to the transcript envelope before posting to vetassess- ( i.e the address provided)

Hi, my advice will always be to check the Vetasses website the information is on it... If I remember correctly it was to the head office at Melbourne. with Aussie stuff always check the website of the corresponding organisation to make sure you have the right information.

Ps. use a reliable courier service with tracking

For those sending PMs, please I urge and encourage you to ask your questions here. You stand a better chance of not being misled by me asking the questions here as there are able and experienced people on the thread to add their wealth of information.

Thank you.

Hi bellong, just a quick one if one is contacted by the CO for additional documents and these documents have been uploaded on the immi account,
and confirmed on the account also stating application is being processed. is there any need again to email the CO that the information requested for has been uploaded as well.

to add to what metrecube said, I would advise that you assess construction project manager instead of project builder becos with construction project manager, you can apply for either d 189 n 190 subclasses, or even d regional but with project builder u r only restricted to visa 189! I am currently facing ds problem I initially got assessed as a project builder and put in my EOI for 190 but after the skilled list was revised, d occupation was removed from d state list, I now hv to reassess as a construction project manager as I only hv 55 points and I m relying on d state nomination

Thank you.. also I don't know your english score and if you wrote PTE.. but with a high PTE score you can gain an extra 10 points, and you get the results within 5 working days. Sometimes the very next day if you are lucky.

You are qualified for both project builder with ur Bsc in BuĂlding and construction project manager with your Msc. With your 3 years experience, you should be okay with vetassess but you may not be able to claim point frm experience coz minimum a year would be deducted from ur experience. Is your experience post Bsc or Msc? Do you work as a builder or you work as a construction manager? Just go for the one that is related to ur job description. You should be fine.

@metrecube; thank you very much for your response, I appreciate. Please how many pay slips did you provide for each year. Thank you

Vetassess finally responded positively yesterday.
Lodged date: 20/02/2017
Positive outcome: 26/04/2017
Occupation: project builder
Date deemed skilled: 05/2012
A year was removed from my 6 years experience. I can claim 10 points from experience by next month.
Im getting there by His Grace.

Thanks to Bellong and others for this great platform.

@ metrecube; Congrats

please want to ask; I have a B.Sc. in Building from Nigeria and an MSc. in Construction Project Management from The UK, with about 1-3 years experience in the construction industry. My question is should i be applying for project builder or construction project manager?
