IslamManners Of The Prophet by salmoj(op): 6:58am On Jul 30, 2015
Nowadays, it is unfortunate that in many masjids both brothers and sisters are annoyed at the presence of children. A cry from a baby or a roaming toddler can sometimes illicit a rude comment. As always, our best example is the prophet (saws). These hadith illustrate the prophet (saws) attitude at the presence of children in the masjid.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) came out to us for one of the two later prayers (dhuhr or asr), carrying Hasan or Hussein. The Prophet (saws) then came to the front and put him down (next to his right foot) said takbir for the prayer and commenced praying. During the prayer, he performed a very long prostration, so I raised my head and there was the child, on the back of the Messenger of Allah (saws), who was in prostration. I then returned to my prostration. When the Messenger of Allah (saws) had offered the prayer, the people said: 'O Messenger of Allah! in the middle of your prayer, you performed prostration and lengthened it so much that we thought either something had happened or that you were receiving revelation!' He said: 'Neither was the case. Actually, my son made me his mount, and I did not want to hurry him until he had satisfied his wish.'" (Reported by Nasaa'i, Ibn Asaakir, and Haakim)

"He (the Prophet (saws)) was praying. When he performed sajdah, Hasan and Hussein jumped onto his back. When the people tried to stop them, he gestured them to leave the two alone. After offering his prayer, he placed them in his lap and said, 'Whoever loves me should love these two.'" (Reported by Ibn Khuzaimah and Baihaqi)

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) was praying and he was carrying Umama the daughter of Zainab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, and she was the daughter of 'As ibn Rabi'a ibn Abdu-Shams. When he prostrated, he put her down, and when he stood, he carried her (on his neck)." (Reported by Bukhari and Muslim)

"The Prophet (saws) said: 'When I stand for prayer, I intend to prolong it, but on hearing the cries of a child, I cut it short, as I dislike to trouble the child's mother.'" (Reported by Bukhari)

Falseness of the hadeeth, “Were it not for you (Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam), I would not have created the universe”.

Praise be to Allah.

Many false and fabricated ahaadeeth have been narrated that say similar things. For example:

“Were it not for you, I would not have created the universe.”

This was quoted by al-Shawkaani in al-Fawaa’id al-Majmoo’ah fi’l-Ahaadeeth al-Mawdoo’ah (p. 326).
He said: "Al-San’aani said: (it is) mawdoo’ (fabricated)."

Al-Albaani also said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (282): (it is) mawdoo’.

Another example is the hadeeth narrated by al-Haakim according to which Ibn ‘Abbaas said:

“Allah revealed to ‘Eesa (Jesus, peace be upon him): ‘O ‘Eesa, believe in Muhammad, and tell whoever you meet of your ummah to believe in him. For were it not for Muhammad, I would not have created Adam, and were it not for Muhammad, I would not have created Paradise and Hell. I created the Throne over the water and it would not settle until I wrote on it, Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah Muhammad Rasool Allaah (There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).”
Al Imaam Haakim said: “its isnaad is saheeh!” But al Imaam Shamsuddeen Dhahabi Rahimahullaah commented on that and said: “I believe it is fabricated and falsely attributed to Sa’eed.”
Meaning, Sa’eed ibn Abu ‘Aroobah (one of the narrators of this hadeeth). This hadeeth was narrated from him by ‘Amr ibn Aws al-Ansaari, who is the one who is accused of fabricating it. Al-Dhahabi mentioned him in al-Meezaan where he said: “He produced a munkar report,” then he quoted this hadeeth, and said, “I believe that it is mawdoo’ (fabricated).” Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar agreed with him, as it says in al-Lisaan.
Al-Albaani said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (280): “There is no basis for it.”
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked:
Is the hadeeth which some people quote – “Were it not for you, Allah would not have created the Throne or the Kursiy or the earth or the heavens or the sun or the moon or anything else” saheeh or nor?
He replied:
“Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the leader of the sons of Adam, and the best and noblest of creation, hence some people say that Allah created the universe because of him, or that were it not for him, Allah would not have created the Throne or the Kursiy or the earth or the heavens or the sun or the moon.
But this hadeeth that is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is neither saheeh (sound) nor da’eef (weak), and it was not narrated by any scholar in a hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Neither was it known from the Sahaabah. Rather it is the words of one who is unknown.” [Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 11/86-96.]
The Standing Committee for fatwa under the supervision of Shaikh Ibn Baz Rahimahullaah was asked:
Can it be said that Allah created the heavens and the earth for the purpose of creating the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? What is the meaning of the hadeeth, “Were it not for you the universe would not have been created,” and does this hadeeth have any basis?
They replied: “The heavens and the earth were not created for the sake of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), rather they were created for the purpose which Allah mentions (interpretation of the meaning):
“It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah surrounds all things in (His) Knowledge” [Surah al-Talaaq 65:12]
As for the hadeeth mentioned, it is falsely attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and has no sound basis. [Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 1/312]
Shaykh Ibn Baaz was asked about this hadeeth and said:
“The answer is that this was transmitted from the words of some of the common people who have no understanding. Some people say that the world was created for the sake of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and were it not for Muhammad the world would not have been created and mankind would not have been created. This is false and has no basis, and these are corrupt words.
Allah created the world so that He would be known and worshiped. He created the world and He created mankind so that His names and attributes, His power and knowledge, would be known and so that He alone would be worshipped with no partner or associate, and so that He would be obeyed – not for the sake of Muhammad or for the sake of Nooh or Moosa or ‘Eesa or any other Prophet. Rather Allah created the universe so that He alone would be worshiped, with no partner or associate. [Fataawa Noor ‘ala al-Darb, 46.]
And Allah knows best.

Christianity EtcCan I Use A Guslu For Both Janaba And Friday Guslu Or Two Guslu by salmoj(op): 11:51am On Dec 15, 2014
88032 : One ghusl is sufficient with the intention
of doing ghusl both for Jumu’ah and to remove
janaabah
If a person has two ghusls to do, the ghusl to
remove janaabah and the ghusl for Jumu’ah,
what should he do with regard to the intention
and the number of ghusls he has to do?.
Praise be to Allaah.
If a person has to do both the ghusl for removing
janaabah and the ghusl for Jumu’ah, it is
sufficient for him to do one ghusl for both
purposes, and he should intend to do ghusl both
to remove janaabah and for Jumu’ah, because
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said: “Actions are but by intentions,
and each person will have but that which he
intended.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1) and
Muslim (1907).
Al-Nawawi said in al-Majmoo’ (1/368):
If he intended when doing ghusl to do ghusl to
remove janaabah and for Jumu’ah, then both are
achieved (in one ghusl). This is the correct view.
End quote.
Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him)
said:
If he does one ghusl for Jumu’ah and to remove
janaabah, and he intends both, that is sufficient,
and we do not know of any difference of opinion
on this matter. End quote.
Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allah have
mercy on him) was asked: Does ghusl to remove
janaabah also count for ghusl for Jumu'ah? He
replied:
If it is done during the day, that is sufficient for
him, but it is better for him to intend both, by
intending when doing ghusl that it is for Jumu’ah
and for janaabah. Thus he will also attain, in sha
Allaah, the virtue of doing ghusl for Jumu’ah
too. End quote.
Majmoo’ Fataawa Ibn Baaz (12/406).
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy
on him) was asked: What is the ruling on
combining ghusl for Jumu’ah and ghusl to
remove janaabah? He replied:
There is nothing wrong with that, because if a
person is junub and he does ghusl, intending
thereby to remove the janaabah and also do
ghusl for Jumu’ah, there is nothing wrong with
that, just as if a person enters the mosque and
prays two rak’ahs intending it to be both the
regular Sunnah prayer and greeting the mosque,
there is nothing wrong with that.
One of the following scenarios must apply:
1 – He intends to do ghusl to remove janaabah
only.
2 – He intends to do ghusl both to remove
janaabah and for Jumu’ah.
3 – He intends to do ghusl for Jumu’ah only.
There is a fourth scenario which is unlikely,
where he intends neither.
If he intends to do ghusl to remove janaabah,
that is sufficient and he does not need to do
ghusl for Jumu’ah if it is after sunrise, but if he
intends both that is sufficient and he will attain
the reward for both. If he intends to do ghusl for
Jumu’ah, that is not sufficient and he still has to
do ghusl to remove janaabah, because ghusl for
jumu’ah is required even when one is not impure
but ghusl to remove janaabah is required when
one is impure, so it is essential to have the
intention of removing this impurity. Some of the
scholars said that he should do ghusl twice, but
this is not a sound view. End quote.
Majmoo Fataawa Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (16/137).

NOMOPHOBIANo-mobile-phone-phobia, or nomophobia, isa term which first appeared in a study by theUK Post Office.According to this study, nearly 53 per cent ofmobile phone users in Britain tend to be anxious when they ‘lose their mobile phone, run out of battery or credit, or have no network coverage’.People are so dependent on their phones that a fifth check their emails in bed and nearly half take their mobile to the beach while on holiday.Nomophobia affects women far more than men - women are 17 per cent more likely tohave the phobia.Symptoms include being unable to turn off your phone, obsessively checking your phone, constantly topping up the battery andtaking your phone to the bathroom.Worst affected are 18 to 24-year-olds - 77 per cent are unable to stay away from their phone for more than a few minutes. Some 53 per cent of mobile users admit to becoming anxious if they lose their phone or it runs out of batterySLEEP TEXTINGSome people are so fond of their smartphones that they actually send text messages while sleeping.Generally, sleep texting occurs in the first two hours after a person falls asleep and they are unaware they are doing it.While sleep texting can lead to some embarrassing conversations, it poses a greater threat to sufferers since it interruptsdeep REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Sufferers often wake up exhausted as they are not getting the deep sleep which is critical to higher brain function.Dr Josh Werber, of EOS Sleep, says the problem can be addressed by banishing phones from the bedroom and by switching them off an hour before going to sleep.PHANTOM VIBRATION SYNDROME:PROFESSOR REED'S TIPS FOR A DIGITAL DETOX:Avoid checking Facebook or emails in bed before falling asleep - bright light from the phone can inhibit the production of melatonin, a sleep-inducing hormone.Leave your phone charger at home so youare compelled to use your phone sparingly.Read a book while commuting to work.Make use of a digital camera to take pictures on a trip so you can enjoy the moment and post them later.Engage in fun activities that don’t involve your mobile phone - doing physical activities or spending face-to-face time with family and friends.Start a diary - you can highlight the occasions where you use your phone and for what purpose, then gauge whether youactually achieved the outcome you had intended from your phone use. This is the belief that your phone is vibratingor ringing when it’s not.People are so used to their phones vibrating that their brains makes it feel like it is happening when they ‘want’, not when it actually does.Phantom vibrations are a result of anticipatory anxiety and they affect as many as seven in ten mobile phone users. Some 68 per cent of people are affected by the syndrome – 87 per cent of sufferers feelthe vibrations weekly, and 13 per cent daily. CYBERSICKNESSThis is the modern day version of motion sickness that is a side effect of the three dimensional features of iPhones and iPads.Cybersickness is caused by a disagreement between a person’s eyes and the movement perceived by their balance system. It occurs when the brain is tricked into believing they are moving while they actually remain still. When things are out of sync, it can trigger nausea, eye strain and dizziness. The problem is thought to be getting worse as frame rates and display resolutions increase and it is particularly associated with the Apple iOS 7.Symptoms can be reduced by changing the phone's settings or by looking at the horizon for a few moments.TEXT CLAWToo much Candy Crush or typing on a phone can create feelings of soreness and crampingin the fingers, wrist and forearm.Text claw is a consequence of repetitive fine motor activity. Most people work on their phones with their thumbs and in a position that’s not natural for the thumb and wrist joints. This can lead to tendinitis which is inflammation of the tendons. At least 43 per cent of smartphone users have experienced thumb pain as a result of overusing the devicesRecently, O2 found out in a survey that 43 per cent of smartphone users have experienced thumb pain in the last five years. This led to O2’s introduction of 65 gram ‘Thumbells’ to ensure that smartphone users exercise their thumbs. Some 26 million Britons suffer thumb pain from too much gadget use.Half of smartphone users say their thumbs get tired when they use their phone and 41 per cent say they have to rest their thumb while using their mobile.Symptoms can be reduced by using a light touch on keypads, not gripping your phone too hard and maintaining a good posture as neck muscles are connected to thumb muscles.Using a smartphone or tablet for long periods of time can cause problems with posture and back and neck painiPOSTUREThis refers to the slumping and hunching over computers and hand-held devices. The human head weighs approximately 10lbsso when it tilts forward for a longer period of time, it exerts extra pressure on the spine, causing pain in the neck, head and shoulders.According to a survey by UK healthcare provider, Simplyhealth, 84 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds claim to have suffered from neck and backaches in the past year.A typical 18 to 24-year-old spends 8.83 hours a day in front of a screen and 66 per cent say they slouch while sitting at their computer.SCREEN SIGHTEDNESSSome people now use their phones so much during the day that they continue tosend text messages even when they are asleepRates of short sightedness among young people have soared because of smartphones, a leading laser eye surgeon claimed.David Allamby, founder of Focus Clinics, saysthere has been a 35 per cent increase in the number of people with advancing myopia (short sightedness) since the launch of smartphones in 1997.He has warned the problem could increase by 50 per cent in the next ten years.Mr Allamby thinks the problem is so widespread that he has dubbed it ‘screen sightedness’.He says that half of Britons own smartphones and that they spend an averageof two hours a day using them. This, along with time spent using computers and watching television, is putting children and young people at risk of permanently damaging their sight.According to Mr Allamby, excessive screen watching at close proximity keeps the genes that control myopia activated well beyond the age that short-sight would historically have stabilised - about 21.Myopia used to stop developing in people’s early 20s but now it is now seen progressing throughout the 20s, 30s, and even 40s.DRY EYE SYNDROMEWhen people are concentrating on looking ata screen their blinking rate is reduced by a third. This leads to a higher rate of tear evaporation which is one of the leading causes of dry eye syndrome. This can, eventually, lead to permanent eye damage.

IslamCan Muslims Celebrate Christmas And New Year by salmoj(op): 11:17am On Dec 26, 2013
Zakbeel Mahmood Ibn wrote:
How could a Muslim celebrate Christmas and New Year’s? – By Shaykh Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah):
Then what is worse than that; is some Muslims celebrate the New Year, and they glorify it and venerate it, and it is connected to the religious occasion of the Christians; which is; what? The birthday of the Messiah Eesa ibn Maryam peace be upon him. Thus celebrating New Year’s Eve, yes, in relation with the birth of the Messiah; this is rejoicing with
their religious rites and practices. And rejoicing with kufr practices —if the person who is pleased with this is safe from disbelief—then it is as ibn Al Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him said in his book, ‘the ruling on the dhimmi’ it is more severe than being pleased with drinking alcohol and worshiping the cross. Thus the affair is very dangerous O brothers. It is not permissible for the person to celebrate Christmas; if he is a Muslim. And it is not permissible for him to congratulate them for this holiday; if he is a Muslim. And it is not permissible for him to respond to this greeting if they congratulate him for this holiday; if he is a Muslim. Subhan’Allah! Shall we congratulate them for a holiday which is considered as a religious practice? And is this anything other than being pleased with disbelief? But most of those who congratulate them do not intend to exalt their religion or practices, but rather they only intend what; to be courteous. And this is incorrect.
If someone says; I am courteous to them because they are courteous to me and they congratulate me for Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha. We say: Alhamdulillah. If they congratulate you with Eid Al- Adha and Eid Al-Fitr, then they have congratulated you for legislated holiday, which Allah has made for His slaves. And it is mandatory for Eid Al-Adha and Eid Al-Fitr to be their holidays, because it is obligatory upon them to accept Islam. But if you congratulate them for Christmas then you are congratulating them for a holiday which Allah has not designated as a holiday. Thus Christmas has no basis in history and it has no basis in the religious legislation. Eesa ibn Maryam did not command them to establish this holiday. Thus it is either that, which was entered into the religion of the Messiah as innovation and misguidance, or it was prescribed in the legislation of Eesa ibn Maryam but it has been abrogated by the legislation of Islam. Therefore it has no basis by any estimation. Because if we said it is from the innovation of the Christians and  it is not from their legislation; then it is misguidance. And if we said it is from their legislation, then it has been abrogated; and to worship Allah with an abrogated religion is misguidance; thus it is misguidance by any estimation. And because it is misguidance, how is it befitting for me—while I am a Muslim—to congratulate them for it?!
And we have answered the issue of them congratulating us for our Eid and us not congratulating them for their holiday because our Eid has been legislated by Allah the Exalted; while their holiday is not legislated. This is because it has either been fabricated in their legislation or abrogated by our legislation. Thus it has no basis in any regard.
And Allah knows best.

Don’t Listen to Everyone who begins to Blabber – Shaykh Muhammad Naasirud-Deen Al-AlbaaneeDecember 17, 2013 7:17 AMMy brother, the problem with the youth today, as they say in Ash-Shaam: The sticks gather them and the sticks separate them (i.e., they gather and disperse around people very easily). They are not accustomed to knowing knowledgeand the people of knowledge. So everyone who speaks and is eloquent and begins to blabber then he is given ear and listened to. This is an error. This is where the confusion, distress, etc. comes from. Due to this, we advise the youth, my brother, to not—whenever a newcomer comes and a caller cries out—do not listen to him and give ear to him. Due to this, I like at times the sternness of some of the Salaf. In what? In their prohibiting of sitting with the people of Bid’ah; to the point that they even feared for themselves. This is from the amazingaffairs. They even feared for themselves that a doubt from this person who debates upon falsehood would cling to the heart of whom? The heart of the scholar. So what do you think as it relates to the common-folk? Due to this, for these it is not permissible, O brother, to give them ear. It is only to be said to them:“There are scholars and students of knowledge. Perhaps you can be guided by them and be sufficed with them. We do not know this speech.”Suffice yourself with this. He who desires to hear, every day, (different) speech regarding the religion; a different opinion everyday, then this is evidence for the lack of stability for the correct Eemaan within the hearts of the people.

[Ahmad (2/298), al-Haakim (1/3 and 4/168); Isnaad is 'hasan']The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:There are three characteristics thatif a person has them, he will taste the sweetness of Eeman: that Allaah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else; to love another only for the sake of Allaah; and that he hates to convert to disbelief after Allaah has rescued him from it ashe hates to be thrown into the fire. [Bukhaaree, Muslim] In another version, the above-mentioned hadeeth begins with the words:No one will find the sweetness of Eemanuntil and unless…Loving and Hating For Allaah’s Sake is The Strongest Handhold of EemanOn the authority of al-Baraa ibn ‘Aazib (radiallaahu ‘anhu): The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:Awthaq ‘Ural Eeman Al-Hubu fillaah wal-bughdu fillaah (The strongest handhold of Eeman is loving for Allaah’s sake, and hating for Allaah’s sake). [Ahmad (4/286), Ibn Abee Shaybah (no. 110); hasan due to supporting narrations]Shaikh ‘Abdul-’Aziz ibn ‘Abdullaah ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah), in his work The Authentic Creed And The Invalidators of Islaam, said: “Belief in Allaah also necessitates love for His sake, hate for His sake, and making friends and enemies for His sake…”Loving and Hating is for Allaah’s Sake Leads to Allaah’s FriendshipIbn ‘Abbaas (radiallaahu ‘anhumma) said:“Whoever loves for the sake of Allaah, and hates for the sake of Allaah, and befriends for the sake of Allaah, and shows enmity for the sake of Allaah, would getWalayatullaah(Allaah’s friendship). Without abiding by this, no one can get the real taste (sweetness) of Eeman though he may have been a frequent offerer of prayer (salat) and fasts. Today, people keep relationship and love only for some wordly reason, but this will not provide them any benefit (on the Day of Judgement).”[Ibn Jarir]After bringing this hadeeth of Ibn ‘Abbaas in The Chapter “Love for Allaah” in the classical work Kitab at-Tawheed, the author Shaikhul-Islaam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) mentioned among the issues/benefits of the chapter:“No one can get the friendship of Allaah and relish of Eeman until and unless he possesses four ‘actions’ of the heart: (1) Love for the sake of Allaah; (2) Hate for the sake of Allaah; (3) Friendship for the sake of Allaah; (4) Enmity for the sake of Allaah.”[He also mentioned - among other matters/benefits - that Eeman has a sweetness that is sometimes tasted by a person, and sometimes not.]Some Other of the Many Virtues, Benefits of Loving and Hating for Allaah’s SakeOn the authority of Abu Hurrairah: The Messenger of Allaah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:Allaah will say on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Where are those who loved one another for My Glory? Today, I will shade them in My shade on the Day when there is no shade except My Shade…’[Muslim]The Messenger of Allaah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Allaah, The Mighty and Majestic, says:‘Those who have mutual love for the sake of My Glory will have pillars of light and will be envied by the Prophets and martyrs.’[at-Tirmidhee (2390), Ahmad (5/236-237); isnaad is 'saheeh']Shaikh Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-’Aqeel (hafidhahullaah) said:“On the Day of Judgement,Allaah will raise the level of the believers who have loved each other for Allaah’s Pleasure, andshade those who have loved each other for His pleasure, as comes in the hadeeth of the seven whom Allaah will shade.”Loving and Hating for Allaah’s Sake Is From The Completion of EemanOn the authority of Abu Umaamah (radiallaahu ‘anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:Man AHaba lillaah Wa Abghada lillaah Wa A’ta lillaah Wa Mana’ah lillaah Fa Qad Istakmal Al-Eeman (Whoever loves for the sake of Allaah, hates for the sake of Allaah, gives for the sake of Allaah, and prevents (withholds) for the sake of Allaah, has perfected Eeman.)[Abu Dawud (no. 4681), at-Tirmidhee (no. 2521), Ahmad (3/438, 440); 'Saheeh' due to witnesses, refer to al-Albaani's Al-Saheeha (no. 380)]Imam As-Sa’dee(rahimahullaah), in his excellent workThe Tree of Faith, said about thishadeeth:“The place for love and hate is the heart, the place for giving and preventing [withholding] is the limbs. The single condition that encompasses all of these is sincerity, which is the spirit and essence of faith. To love for the sake of Allaah means to love Allaah – to love what He loves of things such as actions, times, periods and circumstances, and to love those He loves such as the Prophets andtheir followers. To hate for the sake of Allaah means to hate everything that Allaah hates of things such as disbelief, sin and transgression. It also means tohate those who commit these or call to these.Giving includes the servant performing all that he has been enjoined to as mentioned in His saying [what means]:As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allaah and fears Him. And believes in Al-Husna. We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). (Al-Layl, ayat 5-7)This verse refers to the servant giving everything he has been ordered with, not just property and wealth for this is but a portion of giving. The same applies to its opposite – preventing [withholding].Through these four matters does the servant perfect his faith and religion.”In the footnote related to this hadeeth is the following benefit relayed from Al-Manaawee’s work Faydul-Qadeer (6/38): “Some said that the reason that these matters perfect Eeman is thatthe religion revolves around four principles – two of which are internal, and two which are external. The internal are love and hate, and the externalare performing and abstaining. Hence, whoever’s intention becomes steadfast and firm, such that he loves, hates, performs and abstains for the sake of Allaah, has perfected the different stations of Eeman.”Loving and Hating is for Allaah’s Sake, So Love In Moderation For a Day May Come that you Must Hate the one you Love, or Love the one you HateThe Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:Love the one whom you love in moderation. Perhaps one day, he will be one whom you hate. And hate the one whom you hate in moderation. Perhaps one day, he will beone whom you love.[at-Tirmidhee and others; 'Saheeh,' Saheehul-Jaami' (no. 176)]So if your classmate or your own relative or your imam or a scholar that you benefited fromor even the person Allaah used to guide you to Islaam or specifically Salafiyyah deviates, then from that moment on you must free yourself from him, break off your loyalty, for loyalty to him at that point becomes blameworthy and plunges you into what you have been running away from all these years – hizbiyyah. Remember,Hizbiyyahis:having loyalty or allegiance to an individual or group in opposition to the Qur`an and Sunnah

IslamAngola Denied Banning Of Islam And Muslims by salmoj(op): 9:48pm On Nov 29, 2013
Angola Denies Banning Islam by
AbuHanifa: 2:08pm
Angola's government on Tuesday denied it
had banned Islam and closed mosques in the
country, after speculation that sparked
outrage among Muslims worldwide.
"There is no war in Angola against Islam or
any other religion," said Manuel Fernando,
director of the National Institute for
Religious Affairs, part of the ministry of
culture.
"There is no official position that targets the
destruction or closure of places of worship,
whichever they are," Fernando told AFP.
Reports that Angola, a traditionally devout
Catholic nation, would crack down on
Muslims had drawn condemnation from the
Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and
others.
In Egypt, mufti Shawqi Allam said such a
move would be "a provocation not only to
Angolan Muslims but to more than 1.5
billion Muslims all over the world".
The oil-rich southern African nation has a
population of about 18 million people,
several hundred thousand of whom are
Muslim.
Religious organisations are required to apply
for accreditation in Angola, which currently
recognises 83, all of them Christian.
In October the justice ministry rejected the
applications of 194 organisations, including
one from an umbrella Islamic community
group.
David Ja, a spokesperson for local Muslims,
challenged the government's account and
said that a number of mosques had already
been closed.
Ja condemned what he described as
"political persecution" and "religious
intolerance".
"A mosque was closed last week in Huambo
(in the south) and we have been subjected to
pressure this week regarding a mosque in
Luanda," he said.
According to the ministry of culture, these
closures were related to a lack of necessary
land titles, building licenses or other official
documents.
Analyst Alex Vines said the rumours followed
Culture Minister Rosa Cruz e Silva's
announcement last week that the
government would crack down on "sects".
The measure "was targeting mostly Brazil-
style evangelical groups that have
mushroomed across Angola", according to
Vines, Africa programme head at UK-based
think-tank Chatham House.
Brazilian religious groups "have particularly
worried establishment churches that have
seen their congregations dwindle", he wrote
on Chatham's website.
The headlines were the result of the
government's "clumsy policy" and "poor
communication", he said, warning they
"might not only radicalise Muslim
communities in Angola but could make
Angola a legitimate target for jihadists".

IslamAngola Government Ban Islam And Muslims by salmoj(op): 9:20pm On Nov 25, 2013
Angola Becomes First Country to Ban Islam, Shuts Down All MosquesatMonday, November 25, 2013Several newspapers report that the African country of Angola has become the first country in the world to ban Islam and Muslims. The Angolan Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva was quoted by news agencies and Angola newspapers as saying,"The process of legalisation of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice."As part of the ban, the Angolan government ordered the demolition of the mosques in the country.According to the official, such a decision became the latest in a series of attempts toban "illegal" sects in the country. This statement by Silva was made during her appearance last week at the 6th Commission of the National Assembly. The minister says that the move became necessary in order to fight the emergence of congregations whose worshipping is contradictory to the customs of Angola culture. The measure concerns not only Islam - many other not legalized faiths will face closure of their houses of worship. The list of the banned sects published by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in the Angolan newspaper 'Jornal de Angola' contains all the sects, which are not allowed to conduct worship."In addition, we also have a long list of more than a thousand legalization applications," the official stated.Commenting on the issue, Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos said,"This is the final end of Islamic influence in our country."Angola's population of 16 million is predominantly Christian, with only 80,000-90,000 Muslims, the majority of whom are migrants from West Africa and families of Lebanese origin, according to the US State Department. The crackdown on Islam comes as Christians in the Middle East are being forced from Muslim countries.Former Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren noted in 2012 that the Christian population in the Middle East dropped from 20% a century ago to 5% currently amid ongoing persecution of Christians by Muslims.Oren noted in Egypt 200,000 Coptic Christians fled their homes in 2011 amid anti-Christian violence during the "Arab spring" uprising that toppled dictator Hosni Mubarak. In 2012 Saudi Arabia's top Muslim leader, Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al al-Shaikh, issued a fatwa (religious decree) to demolish all churches on the Arabian peninsula.Particularly in Africa, analysts have commented that Islamist forces have been killing and expelling Christians largely with negligible international criticism.Aside from Islam, other religions that have not been legalized will face similar measures in Angola. The non-legalized religions on the list "published by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in the Angolan newspaper 'Jornal de Angola' are prohibited to conduct worship, so they should keep their doors closed," said Silva. The Minister of Culture added that there is a legalization process through which over athousand religious sects are currently applying.
IslamThe Majority Is Not A Proof by salmoj(op): 2:49pm On Nov 25, 2013
THE MAJORITY IS NOT A PROOF
Shaykh Saalih bin Fawzaan wrote:
From among the aspects of the days of
jaahiliyyah is that they used the majority as a
proof of the truth and they used the
minority as a proof of falsehood. According
to them, whatever the majority of the people
are upon is the truth and whatever the
minority are upon is not the truth. Hence, in
their view, this is the yardstick in
distinguishing the truth from falsehood.
However, this is an error, because Allaah the
most High said: “And if you obey most of
those upon the earth, they will mislead you
from the way of Allah. They follow not
except assumption, and they are not but
falsifying.” [Al-An’aam: 116]
Allaah also said: “But most of the people do
not know.” [Al-A’raaf: 187]
He also said: “And We did not find for most
of them any covenant; but indeed, We found
most of them defiantly disobedient.” [Al-
A’raaf: 102]
Therefore, the yardstick in knowing the truth
is not the large number [of people holding
such view] or few numbers [of people
holding such view]; rather the yardstick is
the truth. Whosoever is upon the truth –
even if he is alone – he is the right person
and it is obligatory to follow him. And if the
majority is upon falsehood, it is obligatory to
abandon them and not to be beguiled by
them. Consideration should be given to the
truth. As such, the scholars stated: The truth
is not known by men; rather men are known
by the truth. So it is obligatory to follow
whosoever is upon the truth.
Hence, consideration should not be given to
the majority; rather it should be given to
what is correct and the truth. Of course, it is
good if the majority is upon the truth; but
the Sunnah of Allaah is that the majority will
be upon falsehood [most of the time]. Allaah
said: And most of mankind will not believe
even if you desire it eagerly” [Yoosuf: 103],
“And if you obey most of those upon the
earth, they will mislead you from the way of
Allaah.” [Al-An’aam: 116]
