Politics › Re: Jos Fruit Traders Lament Falling Sales Under Lockdown by Sambai65(m): 8:07pm On Apr 15, 2021 |
zakim: Fruit sellers in Jos, the capital of Plateau State have decried poor sales due to the total lockdown directive imposed by the state government since February to stem the spread of COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world. The traders lamented that following the lockdown, which resulted in low turn-out of customers, they were left with many rotten fruits.
Abdulqadir Ya’u, Chairman of Fruit Sellers Association at Bauchi Motor Park, told Benue/Plateau Trust that many of them had recorded losses due to the low patronage. “Honestly, since the start of the lockdown, we have been recording losses because we hardly exhaust our stock during the easing period, which spans two to three days. Whatever remains after the break would surely get rotten. This is a big challenge to us in this business in Jos.
“To be sincere to you, we aren’t happy. It’s severely affecting our capital. “Today, we are not talking of our gains but how we would get back what we invest,’’ he said.
Another trader, Zakari Audu, said the lockdown exercise was seriously affecting their sales since their customers were not being allowed to go for their businesses to enable them to source for money to buy foods and other needs.
He said: “We sell more before the commencement of lockdown in February because customers don’t have money to buy and that is why the business is not booming now. People would like to buy but they don’t have money and you can’t give them free.”

Business › Re: Which Business Can I Start With 800k by Sambai65(m): 3:43pm On Apr 15, 2021 |
Viknat: it depends on your state. I started with 20k yams ground nuts two bags of 8k each.. I mean hausa sack. D yams were bought for 80# each. Same type sold for #500. I asked the sellers to sell for 400 and take #.100 per tuber . The nuts were sold for 18k instant mkt. D yams were sold in two mkt days in ten days to sell. The way bill for everything is seven k.. that was how I started making 80k in three places per month constantly. I wasn't concerned about much stress cos o had northern agents who made all the way billing. My work was to drive down and pick every. My sellers had to reduce price for quick and instant gain. 20k yams can almost fill a small mini bus. There are other stuffs too. Honey.. original not fake, sells for 16k per 20 ltr . Same thing u cant get for 40 k, dats if it is even original. There are so many things. Very many. Ur interest matters a lot, and food costs next to nothing... I mean almost nothing in taraba and benue. Many educated people see it as not fitting for a person to go into bulk food business, but omoh, when u dey see fat alert weekly, na Dem go still run to meet u for assistance cos their own work no pay near one fourth of your own Oil dey your head my brother, please how can i private chat you |

Mannyemmy: Firstly as a business rookie, what area of the business world fascinates you? Online or Offline? What's your prowess? Moreover, you can startup these business ideas below with your said investment funds
You can startup a fintech platform and be earning hugely as most banks are not reliable and overcrowded these period and many persons are embracing the fintech space in Nigeria. Although, I don't know your specific location, however, Food is constantly essential. You can rent a shop and startup a restaurant, do some billboard advert and can as well digitalize it by creating a website and/or app where people can order and get the food delivered around their area. You can as well open a bakery. Here in my area, there is only one bakery and the area has a population of thousands of inhabitants and hundreds of shops. You can as well startup yours by employing professional bakers and do your own unique style of baking the bread and do home delivery and you can add ice cream and as well digitalize it to ease the business for you. Your capital is also a good one for starting up a lending business with very low risk having an automated web application for the business and getting your desired return on investment monthly. You can also startup a food processing business and start with frozen food production. You can also start a private refinery business by starting up a kerosene depot. it's in high demand these period we are. Importation is also a good one, you can start with importation of phones. Create an online platform for it to create more awareness, then a rent an office and you're good to go.
Moreover, you can join my business networking group to be connected to more opportunities and investment deals. If interested, click on the link on my signature and if the link doesn't works, chat up the number to be added. sir,can 3millions businesses generate 20k profit daily |
