Our words are so loaded with power. We can change and transform our lives by just saying the right things. The holy scripture declared that "death and life resides in the tongue", meaning, the words we speak, has the ability to cause death or bring life. In fact, our Lord Jesus says "we shall all give account of the words we speak." ( Proverb 18:21, Matthew 12:36).

Words are containers for Power.
How many of us realise that what we are today is a product of words? Too many are struggling under the destiny crushing power of negative words spoken to them when they were young by their parents, teachers, or someone that had an influence over them or even spoken by themselves. These words might have been said with no intention to harm the victim, but was said out of provocation. I know a lady who was told by her dad on her first date at age 18 that she was too ugly for any man to want her hand in marriage. She later experienced a lot of broken relationships such that every man that asks her hand in marriage, would renege when it was time to tie the knot. It was only at her early fifties she discovered that it was her father's words that was working against her. Words are not mere letters, they are carriers of power. I know a guy in his second year, who was told by his lecturer that he will never graduate from the institution he was in. After many struggles to graduate with his colleagues, he dropped out in his final year for reasons beyond his control.
If only we realise how powerful our words can be, we'll be very cautious of what comes out of our mouth. And if there's anyone going thru this post and suffering because of wrong words spoken into his/her life, I ask that the Lord Jesus set such person free right now in Jesus name.
