1. it true that the population in public universities is alarming but if I ask you, do you know the primary function of the university? I guess you were not taught the in your school.
The primary function of the university is LEARNING AND RESEARCH,
whether we eat lizard meat, or mix up in over populated classrooms, but one thing is simple we get QUALITY EDUCATION far better than the million you paid for, where you are spoon feed with marks and grade.

Do you know the meeting of Charisma? do you have charisma? how many of your classmates or fellow graduate can stand and discuss intellectual issues with an average public university student.
Do you think Charisma is about dressing in expensive clothes, forming british accents or attending parties?

3.public universities are OVERATED
you think UI,OAU, UNILAG, ABU are overrated? your lecturers are graduates of these school, you all desire to do your postgraduate studies in UI and the likes, we know your type FIRST CLASS from private universities but can't cope with the Academic standard in public universities when you come FOR Msc .

joshuapharm: That's the sad part on the Nigerian side. The docs feel they can do it on their own... That's y a lot of them run pharmacies in their hospitals without employing a pharmacist. A close one to me said pharmacists are expensive, I said oh well, but ADRS, dispensing errors( 1 was made on my fam friend jst last month where d doc wrote prometh syrup and d nurse in charge gave a cough syrup) are not expensive shey? Some pharmacists also feel they don't need the docs, by treating patients and selling POMs without a docs assessment.. This issues are too complicated.. We health professionals need to go to court.. Yes I said it, that's where all these could be settled.. Know ur place, stay there, I know my place, I stay there..

goodman3: This beef between doctors and pharmacists is brought up by the subconscious 'inferiority complex' that SOME pharmacists feel towards their doctor colleagues. Such feeling is usually expressed in an agressive way or in unnecessary demeaning statements aimed at destroying the societal applause given to medical doctors/medical students. Its really sad tho. The medical field is very large and everybody has his/her own role to play, with ONE GOAL in mind----->to deliver healthcare! I hope the beef ceases in this forum because we are all here to share experiences and learn from each other.

It is believed by some people that to get quality education, one has to send his/her child to private school. But the output from private school is not commensurate with the high fees paid.

In competitions, students from public school always win the prize.

I have personally experienced from my former boss' daughter whose school fees amounted to millions of naira and yet she couldn't even write final exam by herself. They had to pay someone to do that for her.

Could it be "sing along syndrome" that is affecting majority of parents even when they know that amount spent in private is not equal the output.

Are private schools better than public schools?
