Following the double-speak of the controversial Enugu based catholic priest Rev. Ejike Mbaka on the endorsement or otherwise of President Goodluck Jonathan, a member of the family Mr. Chukwudi Mbaka has appealed to him to desist from making further incendiary comments as his utterances has brought public opprobrium and disrepute to the family.
In a press statement made available to news men in Enugu, Mr. Mbaka recalled in 2013, that the clergyman committed the same gaffe stating that “Rev. Mbaka’s unguarded utterances on the administration of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani increased the political temperature of Enugu State, pitting politicians in the state against each other revealing that a notable politician in the state was bankrolling him to cast aspersions on the incumbent governor, maintaining that the so called adoration tragedy was a facetious gimmick orchestrated by Rev. Mbaka to blackmail the Chimaroke administration”
Going down memory lane, he lamented that the clergy man is notorious for making wild allegation against notable politicians noting that in 2011, Rev. Father Mbaka rose to the pulpit and accused Chief Ikedi Ohakim the former governor of Imo State of slapping a reverend father only to apologize later that he was misinformed by the reverend gentleman who allegedly claimed that he was assaulted by the governor.
Concluding, he implored Reverend Mbaka to stick to his pastoral work and save the family from further public odium.
