Premier League Champions, Leicester City, have sacked Claudio Ranieri 9 months after he guided them to their first ever league title. This was made known by the club's official website in a statement disclosed on Thursday, 23rd February, 2017. A statement by the club’s vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha read: “This has been the most difficult decision we have had to make in nearly seven years since King Power took ownership of Leicester City. But we are duty-bound to put the club’s long-term interests above all sense of personal sentiment, no matter how strong that might be. “Claudio has brought outstanding qualities to his office. His skilful management, powers of motivation and measured approach have been reflective of the rich experience we always knew he would bring to Leicester City. His warmth, charm and charisma have helped transform perceptions of the club and develop its profile on a global scale. We will forever be grateful to him for what he has helped us to achieve. “It was never our expectation that the extraordinary feats of last season should be replicated this season. Indeed, survival in the Premier League was our first and only target at the start of the campaign. But we are now faced with a fight to reach that objective and feel a change is necessary to maximise the opportunity presented by the final 13 games Read more here: http://www.samgeelive.com/2017/02/breaking-leicester-city-sack-claudio_24.html?m=1

Lol. But why 10 years self? |
As written in a story published by Amnesty International, a young man named Ivo Fomusoh has been tried, convicted and sent to 10 years imprisonment for texting a joke. Ivo's brother, Fomusoh Eric tells his story below: Two years ago, my brother Fomusoh Ivo Feh was a young man just about to start university. He knew how hard it was to find a job in our country Cameroon without a degree. But a tough job market wasn’t the only struggle facing our country. The armed group Boko Haram was also carrying out attacks in Cameroon, causing the government to enact a fierce crackdown on alleged sympathizers. Read also: BREAKING: Aircraft crashes into shops next to Essendon Airport, burst in flames But Ivo, as we call him, was just trying to go about his every day life. And sometimes, to make sense of a senseless situation, he liked to joke with his friends. Not because he did not take the economic situation or the threat of Boko Haram seriously, but as a way to cope with the daily stress. A severe drought has exposed a church that has been hidden under water for 400 years. Recent pictures and videos of the church which had reportedly disappeared in the 1960s showed that it has never crumbled. The historians believed that the temple was built by monks and nuns in the 1500 when Christianity first arrived in the region. The church has been sunk inside water for decades but was recently exposed when a severe drought dried up the water of the late in which it was swallowed. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, got visited by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara in the UK and shared pictures online. Some people believed these pictures are not real and that the government is only trying to cover up Buhari's health status. Remember a pro-Buhari rally already hold. But even still, some Nigerians believed the pictures were photoshopped and we're not real pictures. If we remember, Tuface was earlier photoshopped to be sitting with Buhari in London. And now, another facebook user has photoshopped herself sitting on Buhari's lap and other poses and she captioned it with the below statements: Am officially in London on a visit to Buhari with Saraki and Dogara and in a special way Buhari welcome me by asking me to sit on his legs,as his heart is so full of excitement hahaha. "APC actually thought they are the only one that can Photoshop oya see naa haha. Everybody must visit Buhari." Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique believes Barcelona needs a miracle to score at least 5 goals to nil against PSG in their next match after a 4 - 0 loss against PSG. Barcelona needs to score 5 goals without conceding any goal against PSG to qualify for the next match. PSG's 4 goals win against Barcelona were scored by Draxler, Cavani and Angel Di Maria who scored two goals. Since 2007, Barcelona has always been in the last 8 but everything seems to be changing this time around. It's extremely difficult for us now but we go back to our stadium and really we need a heroic performance. But why not dream," the Barcelona boss said before snapping at a reporter. It was a disastrous night for us in which we were clearly inferior. There's not much more to say. "PSG did what we expected them to do and produced their best version and we were at our poorest." The Barcelona coach also admitted being the cause of their loss while talking with a reporter. View more at: http://www.samgeelive.com/2017/02/luis-enrique-accepts-blame-for.html?m=1 |
An uncontrollable fire broke out inside OAU around 8:00 pm on Monday night, 13th February, 2017 around ICAN lecture theatre and dramatic arts department. According to those who witnessed it at the start, the fire started at the other side of the mountain in front of the Faculty of Administration extension building sand later spread downwards to the other side of the mountain, the one facing the building. I got to the scene around 9 pm and the fire was still at its high potential and was still spreading. Arriving at the scene, I saw a fire brigade vehicle but later noticed that it is already out of water and the fire is still blooming. According to some people, the fire is always created every year probably by hunters from small villages inside OAU. while I was at the scene, a man arrived, demanding more extinguishers. According to him, he had called four professors who I think are in charge of students care and security but none of them seemed to be responding. Minutes later, the fire has already spread towards the buildings near it which include Admin Extension building and Dramatic Arts Department buildings. The area was no longer conducive for people watching because there were flames everywhere causing eye pain for people.
