mrvitalis:Oh! I grab. |
Racoon:You've said it all. Wetin dey pain me Is, NDDC is meant for development of all Niger delta states. |
The projects include, fencing the Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom North West Senitorial District at the cost of 200 million naira.Haba, nah only Akwaibom dey Niger delta ni? ![]() Moreover Findings show that while there was no physical evidence of implentation of these projects, checks show contracts were awarded and fully paid for. Such practices have turned the region to sites of abandoned projects. Both NNPC and NDDC are corrupt. After these two comes our military officials Followed by Vice chancellors of Nigeria universities and their senates. ![]() The rate at which these VCs dey chop money Ehn. |
nony43:Most of those SE doing business in Lagos are importers. Most of those SE doing business outside Lagos, buy their goods in Lagos. BTW, port isn't only meant for importing pretty pretty goods How about exporting our agricultural products? And solid minerals? |

Nwanyiogwashi:Nothing new ![]() |
Kaduna1stson:That's the problem with you lots. You just jump into conclusion. The problem is not being Igbo. At least the governor wife is igbo Makinde of Oyo appointed one Yorubanized igbo like that, she schooled in Oyo, reside in Oyo and a women leader in Oyo In kwara state, the governor also appointed one NYSC graduate too. It caused uproar. Same in Ondo state. The said girl did not know anything about Ondo, not even residing there. Moreover she's just a recent graduate, young and inexperience. That's what they are complaining about . Moreover, it's just politics and nothing else. Or have you ever see ondo people complaining that the governor wife is Igbo? What about Lagos where non indegines are being appointed into office? Next time, make a research b4 concluding. |
SouthNigerian:Bro, you have time oo. |
TEDHorsePower:reduce your weed bro |
edoairways:Well, 98% are Yoruba. I quite agree with sunshineg5, the same senero played out it kwara state. The problem is not that she's igbo. But the problem is young and inexperience. She doesn't even know anything about Ondo state. In kwara state, at least the girl is indigenous to kwara, yet she was said to be young and inexperience. She just completed her NYSC. |
Adaibeku:Lol. In your dreams |
Worldliness:Yes, Yorubas are in Ghana, they have kings. Same with Ivory Coast. Tho, that Ivory Coast, they don't don't use the name "Yoruba" you should know prior to British invention and rulling in Nigeria, Yoruba is only used to identify, Oyo people. Ekiti is a name on their own, Same goes to Ondo, ijebu, Owo, Egba, etc. So Yorubas in Ivory Coast identify themselves as Aku or so. |
mrvitalis:is there any prove of that? States are in control of their IGR. As at 2018. (it might have changed now). Ability of states to meet their recurrent expenditure obligation with state-owned revenue like value added tax, 13 percent derivation and IGR. In terms of weight, In was assigned 35 percent weight as it was critical that personnel and overheads (recurrent expenditure) of government are covered with tax revenue and other associated revenue peculiar to the state like 13 percent derivation paid to oil- producing states without resorting to borrowing. While growing states IGR by widening the personal income tax net is ideally the path for most states, some may use indirect tax through increased Value Added Tax undertaking due to socio-religious norms, political pressure and from the policy front adopted in 1991. States with natural resources like oil and solid minerals should explore those resources given the socio- economic status of most Nigerians at this time as it gets increasingly difficult to tax already heavily taxed people. Alternatively, some states may keep operating costs (like personnel and overhead costs) low to free up more spending for social and economic infrastructure. States like Rivers, Lagos, Delta, Bayelsa and Edo sit on top |
mrvitalis:Oil revenues account for nearly all government revenue – 69% in 2017. Corporation taxes, VAT, customs, and other levies make up the rest. States are financed in two ways: with the funds they generate through personal income taxes and other levies – known as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), or the money they receive from the FG every month from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). The local governments are also financed through a mix of allocations from the FG and IGR. At the end of every month, the FG gathers all the money it has generated from crude oil sales, customs and taxes, and so on. 13% of any revenue made from natural resources is returned to the origin state of those resources, in line with the derivation principle. Other deductions are made for the costs associated with collecting revenues, and the rest of the funds are shared across the three tiers of government. The FG keeps 52.68% for its budget (goes to the FCT), the states share 26.72%, and local governments get 20.60%. Each state receives a proportion of federal revenues based on a "Horizontal Allocation Formula". The first 40% of revenues is shared equally across the states. The rest is determined by population (30%), landmass (10%), IGR (10%) and social development factors (10%), which include things like school enrollment, number of hospital beds and most peculiarly, the amount of rainfall in the state. |
mrvitalis:Abeq, keep your lies. Are we counting barkeries as industries?? ![]() If Aba has over 10,000 factories, I wonder why abia IGR is low. Probably you don't know the means of generating IGR. Anyways, I'm talking of industries not bakery factories. You probably counted 2 by 2 shops and block factories, pure water factories as industries ![]() |
Blackmann001:Lols. I have a question for you. 1. Where did this happen 2. Are you telling me it's not happening in Igbo land? |
Bonatheripper:Abeq go and sleep. |
overall90:Lol, so US don't have money Russia don't have money Israel don't have money UAE don't have money Canada don't have money South Africa don't have money. Lol, how do you think banks generate some of her revenue? What do you think brought about IMF, World bank, AFDB, Paris club, Nigeria agricultural bank Etc ![]() |
mrvitalis:Jesus over 10,000. Chimo, bia, lie small small nah. I didn't graduate from IPOB bureau of statistics, In University of IPOB. Or you meant 2 by 2 shops? |
mrvitalis:Lol, it's not by area view We all know building Storey buildings in east is due to land size and cost of land. If you're sure abia is better, list 20 industries in abia or IMO. |
overall90:Debt profile doesn't mean infrastructures ain't going on. To be able to do infrastructures, you'll have to borrow. You can't rely on tax. Or you think your governors ain't borrowing money in the east? We read news about 4weeks ago when Dave pleaded with Fg or so, to approve his loan. I can't remember very well, but he collected loan |
