London Metropolitan Police Has Asked Me To Return" - BBNaija Khafi


Khafi Kareem has been reinstated by London Metropolitan Police after her participation at the 2019 Big Brother Naija. Khaffy says she returned to her beat two weeks ago.


According to the Mirror newspaper, Khafi said she has been asked to return to work after meeting with her her superiors two weeks ago.
The newspaper quoted Khafi as saying she is returning to her best.

“Work has been really great, we’ve been speaking and communicating, they asked me when I’d be coming back to work.”

“I’m not sure when I’m going to go back yet — I want to get back as soon as possible, I’m passionate about keeping London safer.”

Khafi was said to have caused outrage among senior officers by appearing on BBN without permission. It was reported that the reality star had asked for permission to appear on the 2019 edition of the Big Brother Naija show but was denied and that she had chosen to accept a place in the house “without authority”.

Top officers were also to have felt embarrassed when Kaffy appeared to be having sex on screen with fellow contestant, Ekpata Gedoni, 31.

The 29-year-old reality star said that she tried to get an answer out of her bosses, but they didn’t get back to her. She said, “I started to ask what the procedure is, what would I do, I thought I might actually get into the show. I wanted to do everything by the book even though I didn’t know if I was in the show or not. I spoke to as many people as I was told to go to my commander; I explained the situation, I told him I wanted time off — three months off of work and the reason was because I might get on Big Brother”.

Addressing her controversial romp under the sheets with Gedoni, Kaffy said she didn’t sleep with the housemate. She, however, confirmed that they are both in a relationship, saying, “We are still together now

Ghanaian musician and song writer, Ms Forson has revealed that she enjoys being beaten by her boyfriend as it makes the love she has for him grow stronger.

Alleged N9.7bn Fraud: Witness Tells Court how AVM Dikko Converted NAF’s N1.2billion to Private Use

Hammadama Bello, the 9th prosecution witness (PW9), in the ongoing trial of former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Mohammed Umar Dikko, before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, on Thursday, October 31, 2019, told the court that the defendant allegedly converted the sum of N1.2billion, belonging Nigerian Air Force to his personal use.

Dikko is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on seven-count charge bordering on money laundering and procurement fraud to the tune of N9.7 billion.

Under cross-examination by the defence counsel, Dr.Onyeachi Ikpeazu, SAN, the witness who is an investigator with the EFCC, said that funds meant for Air Force operational purpose were diverted by Dikko to his personal use.

228 inmates escape as Kogi custodial centre collapses.

The Koton Karfe custodial centre in Kogi has collapsed under heavy flooding, leading to escape of 228 inmates.
.
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Mr Jafar Ahmed, who confirmed this while speaking with newsmen in Koton Kafe on Monday, said that the flood came at about 3a.m., submeging the perimetre fence and the walls of two cells.
.
He said that 228 inmates escaped, saying that many of them escaped for the safety of their lives.
.
He said that security agents were still combing the bush to re-arrest some of the fleeing inmates, saying that the flood was not making it easy for them to escape.
.
He commended the security agencies for their prompt intervention, saying that nobody died in the incident.

Bala Elkana, spokesperson of the state police command stated that on Saturday October 26th, one Alhaji Garuba Isiaka of  number 7 Ayo Ijaiye Street reported at the Police Station that on the same date at about 6pm while at Berger, he received a phone call from his younger brother, Alhaji Mohammad Isiaka, that the suspect who resides at number 2 Ayo Ijaiye Street Isheri forcefully seized his one-year-old daughter named Nana Aishat Isiaka from the mother and hit her on the ground. .

Bala says the baby's head was shattered and she died on the spot.
The suspect was almost lynched by angry mobs from the area, if not for the timely intervention of the Police.
He will be charged to Court for murder.

Court Sentences Supervisor To 60 Years Jail Term For Defiling 2 Year Old

Adegboyega Adenekan, a former staff at Chrisland School, Lekki, Lagos has been sentenced to 60 years in jail today for defiling a 2-year-old child


Justice Sybil Nwaka of an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court handed down the sentence, convicting 47-year-oldAdenekan on a count charge of defilement.

She held that evidence before the court showed that the supervisor was guilty as charged. Adenekan was a supervisor at the Chrisland School, Victoria Garden City, Lagos State.
_
He pleaded not guilty on arraignment on Jan. 29, 2018.
_
“This defendant is conscienceless, wicked, an animal, and not fit to walk on the streets. I hereby sentence Adegboyega Adenekan to 60 years’ imprisonment. This is the sentence of the court,” the judge held.
_
Nwaka said that schools should not only be interested in economic gain but the welfare of pupils.
_
“Schools should not cover up teachers who sexually abuse children. Parents should not be carried away by the aesthetics of schools. “This case may just be the tip of the iceberg as a lot of our children are suffering in silence. Parents should be bold enough to confront teachers and school management because a lot of our children are suffering in silence.
_
“I advise or recommend that the education and social welfare ministry workers should visit schools randomly to give them a check.”
_
Seven witnesses, including the pupil and her mother, testified for the prosecution, which closed its case on March 14
