It’s simple, your buildings are generally always ugly. The lack the aesthetics and beauty that should come with it. You guys are always very basic and mediocre. Urban development is really not your thing. Stick to providing peace and stable electricity, that is something you seem to be excelling in.

Ghana runs a unitary state and as that everything is run by the central government so all attention is on Accra

In Kenya you have Counties where you vote for people to run those counties so there is that pressure on them to work and live behind some legacy. But here in Ghana those in charge of our Regions are more like gate boys.
They only go from one media station to another to defend government then take home their salaries. They don't have any control on what happens in their region.

Perhaps when we change our constitution to allow for Ghanaians to vote on their Regional and District officers we will see investors moving to other places to build such heights there



Just last year November Accra experienced Earth tremor and this has been happening almost every year. You have a point when you say some skyscrapers can withstand any pressure but that will be a discussion for another day.
For now all investors want to build such heights in Accra and that will not happen.

It is not that Ghanaians can't build skyscrapers in Accra. The issue is about permit.
Accra Metropolitan Assembly does not want to give permit to buildings above certain height for obvious reasons. Accra's land is earthquake prone land

Initially, Bank Of Ghana new Headquarters was suppose to be a 33floor project but the city authorities declined. They reduced it to 25 floors. Just recently I heard somewhere they have reduced it further to 23 floors and for that reason the Bank Executives thought to add extra towers to the main building.

Lots of companies and individuals have shown interest in building something above 25/30 floors but they were not allowed to build.
