talking about the configuration I really do not understand what you mean, do you mean u need the program which are the pre-configured memory and alsn the flash drive where the games are?

what I mean is that if you can get just any working PS2 with a bad lens I can make you play games without LENS or CDs but you will either play games from your original ps2 harddisk or from a flash drive or if someone is running a game centre and is having either lens or cd problem then the good news is that he wont need any of that anymore and moreover your games would load faster without any hanging problems, hope this explain better to you.
