The workings of these are epistles...But I will try...I solved both as simultaneous equations(Elimination method).The equations are...1. a+2b=-4, 2a+b=1, for no 2. -2a-b=7 and -a-3b=7...solving these equations gave me those answers..hope it works out

no1 is correct but no2 is wrong.
the only mistake is -2a

biochemistry & microbiology is highly competitive in fuoye, u must attain 65% - 68% in ur aggregate score for biochemistry or microbiology, fuoye admission processes is based on screnning (jamb + o-level) ur jamb score will be divided by 8, u already have 23.75, assuming the cut-off mark is 65% and u already have 23.75% over 50%, so u need 41.25% for u to attain 65%, do u know where that 41.25 will come from is frm your o-level result grading system and whether ur result is 1 sitting or 2 sitting, so the grading system goes this way A1 - 6point, B2 - 5point, B3 - 4point, C4 - 3point, C5 - 2point, C6 - 1point and additional 10mks if u are using 1 sitting, u have 2mks if u are using 2sittings, so u can calculate it urself if u attain 41.25% but if otherwise, i will advice u to change ur course to less competitive course.

x^2-xy-6y^2=0,multiplying 1st and last term gives me -6(xy)^2.so factors are 2xy and-3xy...substituting these values for -xy, I got x2+2xy-3xy-6y2=0...factorizing gives me (x-3y)(x+2y)=0...going for x-3y=0,x=3y and x/y gives me 3...I hope I am right...

Factorise the left hand side:
x^2 - xy - 6y^2 = 0
(x^2 - 3xy)+ (2xy - 6y^2) = 0
x(x - 3y) +2y(x - 3y) = 0
(x + 2y)(x - 3y) = 0
From (i) x = 3y i.e x/y = 3 and from (ii) x = -2y i.e. x/y = -2
The values of x/y are 3 and -2.

I have a candidate who scored 244 in JAMB.
Choices are UNIOSUN (Osun state Uni,Microbiology) and Kwara State Uni (KWASU, Food science & tech) (first and second choice)

The candidate is an above average student who I really want to get admission this year. Main reason why federal schools were not chosen.

O levels were all all CREDIT passes.

1) The candidate likes Unilorin. Do you think it is a wise idea to do a change of institution given the jamb score/other factors.

2) Also, I will like information specifically on what the admission process is for UNILORIN, UNIOSUN (Osun state Uni) and KWASU. DO THEY DO POST UME? What are the chances? how stiff is the competition for the above courses.

3) Is Jamb change of Institution still on?

no1 question, the candidate should not even think of changing institution to unilorin, because unilorin is based on connection, they only consider candidate with high score and their remedial student.

no2 question, unilorin will conduct putme dis year, but they dont use it as criteria for admission, they are just doing putme because it is mandatory, they only consider student with high score in jamb not like 244 and their remedial student, but for uniosun & kwasu both institution dont conduct putme, their admission processes is based on screening, both institution is not that competitive and for the course i will advice him he should go for kwasu, am very sure about this, he has a better chance of securing admission to kwasu than uniosun.

no3 question, jamb change of course/institution is still on.

Hi bro...does Oou and fuoye accept 2nd choice candidates

NO, they don't accept 2nd choice, but u can do oou putme without u choosing them at all, after the putme they will advice to change their institution to 1st choice, but it's not possible in fuoye because fuoye will fetch ur data (details) from jamb during screening registration. what u can now is that go for oou putme exam first without changing it to 1st choice, so ur score will determine whether you change it first choice or not.

what was last year's aggregate score for bus admin, with the grading system my friend scored 59. 3 pls � what are his chances!!

Business Admin is highly competitive in fuoye, which normally leads to high cut-off mark for business admin, for him to secure admission with ease, i will advice him to change his course to less competitive course like sociology or political science.

fuoye did not conduct putme last year, i don't know about this year, last year admission process was grading system, ur jamb score divided 8 is over 50%, o-level A1-6point, B2-5point, B3-4point, C4-3point, C5- 2point, C6-1point, so they will add 10mks to ur aggregate if u are using one sitting, but 2mks if u are using two sitting.

There are two reasons for which I chose option A as the answer to question number 2.
FIRST:Let us look at the definition of the words involved...
(A) Innocuous = HARMLESS,not intended to offend or upset anyone.
(B) Ludicrous = UNREASONABLE,ABSURD,RIDICULOUS,that you cannot take seriously.
(C) Ridiculous = ABSURD,LUDICROUS,very silly or UNREASONABLE(synonym of Ludicrous).
(D) Notorious = well known for being bad.

When you take a cursory look at these words and their meanings,you will notice that option (A) depicts a positive action while others depicts a negative action.A word is positive if it brings a sense of morality,fairness or fortune, while, A word is negative if it is obscene or immoral or if it shows misfortune.
Therefore,using The Elimination-by-status method of determining the answer to a question like this, I deduced that OPTION A is the answer.

SECOND : The question is saying that Bisola should not have taken offence at Emeka's words(which supposedly is not worth taking offence at).
Now let us look at it this way....
(A) If Emeka's words were INNOCUOUS,which means 'harmless', then, there is no way you can tell me that Bisola will take offence at harmless words.
(B) If Emeka's words were LUDICROUS which means 'unreasonable',then Bisola should be justified for taking offence at Emeka's unreasonable words.
(C) If Emeka's words were RIDICULOUS, which means 'very silly',then Bisola should be justified for taking offence at Emeka's silly words.
(D) If Emeka's words were NOTORIOUS which means 'always bad', then Bisola is justified to take offence at Emeka's bad words.

Summarily,
Bisola should not have taken offence at Emeka's harmless(Innocuous) comments.

I have done University of Ibadan post utme 3 times aspiring for mbbs, and I can tell you some facts about it.

My scores back then were 76%, 70%, 80% in 2014, 2015 and 2017 respectively.

There are some facts you need to know about University of Ibadan Putme.

1. If could have the brain to score 200 in utme, you could score 80%+ in putme. I personally saw this in 2014 and it wasn't to my favour. I scored 248 and 76% in utme and Putme respectively, but I saw someone with 201 in utme surprisingly scored 82%. Unfortunately, many candidates aspiring for mbbs with low utme score pull a strong come back in putme. Please don't let your 300+ utme score make you complacence. I have a friend, who back then scored 282, but his mark was wasted because he scored 66% in Putme. Back then 300 wasn't flying around under DIBU.

2. University of Ibadan Putme is very simple but time consuming . During our time, we met something like calculate bla bla bla, angle of projection = 27°c. You will come across calculations were the best student will spend 6 minutes on a physics question. I will give you an example later. I still have it with me. You need to start training yourself on speed. I was a victim of speed in 2015. You could see it from my score.

3. University of Ibadan Putme is very simple but highly technical, you need to be smart. You will meet questions like

You need to be smart, you will meet a lot of this especially in biology.

4. Good news to mbbs aspirants, University of Ibadan Putme repeat a lot of past questions .
I can't tell for other subject but I noticed biology was majorly jamb past questions repeated word for word, chemistry is was a mixture of utme and Putme past question, English as a good quantity of past questions but physics was a hell, several complicated calculation with decimals without calculator , be careful and prepare well.

5. University of Ibadan lecturers cannot do without setting questions from certain textbooks I can't tell you this enough, get Lamlad for physics in addition to either( P. N OKEKE or New school physics). Get Lamlad for Chemistry with ababio. Get Invisible teacher of jamb Use of English by dele ashade. Get all jamb series. If you can do this, you are home and dry. Read your best biology textbook. In 2017, UI lifted a question word for word from college physics

You can score 25/25 in biology or 15/25

If you are too eager because the questions are too simple, you may fall on the stumbling block UI lay down to checkmate I TOO KNOW. Instead of scoring 90%, you might score 75%. I should have scored 86% in 2014, but I TOO KNOW killed me so I missed simple questions.


Lastly don't ignore group study online. I learnt a lot back then, and there were questions I couldn't have solve normally during Putme but someone would have posted same question word for word during online group study, I just pick answers without wasting time.

Please, if there is anyone who could take the pain and compile past questions from previous UI admission thread from 2012, please do and share to others. I did it back the and I met several repeated questions.

In fact, in 2017, out of the 100 questions in putme, I have met and solve not fewer than 60 questions but I couldn't remember were I met some of this questions.

Then the profit NP = N[x(x/3 + 100) - (2x^2 + 30x + 20]
so P = 70x - 5/3x^2 - 20.

The maximum value of P will be given by dP/dx = 0

dP/dx = 70 - 10/3x = 0 which gives x = 21.
