South-African pastors continue to leave us mouth agape as they continue to do ridiculous things and claim it was God’s divince instruction. Prophet Rufus Phala of AK Spiritual Christian Church in Makgodu, Limpopo, South Africa made his church members drink Dettol, claiming the antiseptic liquid will heal their sickness. According to Daily Sun SA, Prophet Rufus told the congregation to drink the disinfectant, promising they will be healed of their sickness. “I know Dettol is harmful, but God instructed me to use it. I was the first one to drink it,” he claimed, adding that he has been getting WhatsApp messages from people who say they have been healed. One Dr Mabowa Makhomisane, said Dettol is harmless when mixed with bath water or when cleaning a wound. But if it goes into your stomach and gets absorbed into your body, it decreases the amount of oxygen in your system,” he said. “This might cause to you collapse and die. If you vomit the liquid into your lungs, it causes aspiration pneumonia. Your lungs will get swollen and you won’t be able to breathe.” he added. http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/12/shock-as-south-african-pastor-makes.html?m=1 Lalasticlala

The Senate on Thursday called on the Federal Government to overhaul the National Youth Service Corps Scheme. The call followed a motion of urgent public importance moved by the Chief Whip of the Senate, Olusola Adeyeye (APC Central). The Senate also called on the government to improve on medical facilities in all NYSC orientation camps across the country and deploy experienced medical personnel to the NYSC medical centres. The Senate therefore mandated its Committee on Sports and Youth Development to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of three corps members in Kano, Bayelsa and Zamfara recently. Moving the motion, Adeyeye drew the attention of the Senate to the unfortunate death of three corps members, including Miss Ifedolapo Oladepo, from his senatorial district. He lamented that death of corps members had become a recurrent development in the NYSC orientation camps across the country. The Senator also expressed deep concern that experienced medical personnel were not in existence in the orientation camps. He added that inexperienced medical doctors undergoing national service were usually engaged to attend to the medical needs of corps members. The lawmaker further expressed concern that an orientation camp that housed over 300,000 corps members could not boast of modern facilities to cater for the needs of corps members. He also decried a situation where NYSC officials were not living up to their responsibilities, adding that the development had exposed the corps members to all manner of dangers. He said, “The Senate notes with sadness the death of three Corps members: Miss Ifedolapo Amoke Oladepo who died in Kano NYSC Orientation Camp and Miss Elechi Chinyerem, who died in Bayelsa Orientation Camp both on Tuesday, November 29. “Also, Mr Ukeme died in Zamfara Orientation Camp on Thursday, December 1. “We are deeply worried that the death of these corps members is becoming a recurrent decimal in almost all NYSC camps across the country. “We are further concerned that NYSC officials are not up and doing in their official duties as they expose these Corps members to all manner of dangers.” http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/12/after-corpers-death-senate-calls-for.html?m=1

President Buhari today asked Nigerians, particularly the elites, to stop making expensive demands from his administration. He said this while speaking to Nigerians living in Dakar, Senegal. According to a statement by special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari called on the Nigerian elite to stop insisting that things should be done the ‘old way’, which impoverished the nation. He said his administration is on the right track to improve the image of the country by entrenching accountability and probity in governance. President Buhari said that the last 16 years of poor handling of the nation’s resources and infrastructure have continued to impact negatively on the country. “This administration is pleased we won the election, we are pleased Nigerians are cooperating with us. But the problems are so enormous that we need the cooperation of Nigerians, particularly the elite. They (elite) should reflect on the condition of the country, and stop making expensive demands because things cannot be done the old way,’’ he said. http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/12/stop-making-expensive-demands-pres.html?m=1 Lalasticlala

Patience Jonathan, wife of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has denied media reports that $175m is missing from her bank accounts. Patience said her account balance as of the time it was frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was less than $10m. She, therefore, urged the media to be fair to her and stop twisting facts. She said this in a statement signed by her spokesman, Mr. Sam Dokubo, on Wednesday. The statement added, “For the avoidance of doubt, while indeed it is true that Dame Patience is in court for the protection of her fundamental rights infringed upon by a ‘No debit order’ placed on her funds by the EFCC, it is not for $15m but for funds less than $10m as has been clarified several times. “The purported story in a newspaper on November 19, 2016, about a missing $175m allegedly belonging to the former first lady is not just fictitious but plain falsehood.” Patience said if the EFCC was looking for a ‘missing’ $175m it should ask Skye Bank where all her accounts were domiciled. It added, “The EFCC has not made any statement to the existence of an investigation of any missing $175m linked to the former first lady. “If any such funds as claimed, which was deposited by certain verifiable persons has gone missing without a trace from a known bank, Skye Bank, as was reported, then, the bank, its officials and those mentioned must be held to account for the funds and not the former first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, who was in no way a part of the transaction. “The claim that the money was credited to a company linked to Dame Patience Jonathan is also false; otherwise it should be officially substantiated with credible evidence by Skye Bank and the EFCC that are jointly mentioned in the report.” Mrs. Jonathan threatened to sue media houses that continue to malign her. Patience is suing the EFCC and Skye Bank for freezing accounts linked to her. She is also demanding a N200m settlement. http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/11/my-account-balance-is-less-than-10m.html?m=1 Lalasticlala

The couple, Kimberly Onorato and Rory Clark were arrested after they were caught ‘doing the do’ in a parked car with a 6-year-old boy in the backseat outside a McDonald’s. DailymailUK reports that a press release from the Town of Orange Police Department, shows that the incident took place just before 9.40pm on November 15 outside the fast-foot eatery at 57 Boston Post Road in Orange. Two McDonald’s employees were leaving the restaurant at the end of their shifts when they spotted two people engaged in sexual activity in the front seats of a car sitting in the parking lot. They say the small boy was in the back seat, awake and alert, ‘watching’ what the adults were doing in front of him. When police officers got to the scene, they found 28-year-old Kimberly Onorato partially undressed. But during interrogation, Onorato and her male companion, 27-year-old Rory Clark, claimed they had only been ‘cuddling’ after having dinner at the eatery earlier. They were however charged with second-degree impairing morals of a minor and breach of peace. The six-year-old boy was turned over to a relative and police also notified the Department of Children and Families about the incident. No one knows the relationship of the child to the couple yet http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/11/couple-caught-having-sex-in-front-of-6.html?m=1 Lalasticlala

Sharon Jones died at the age of 60 on Friday, November 18 after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer., and now friends and collaborators of the late powerhouse are beginning to shed light on her final days. According to Gabriel Roth of the Dap-Kings, the election of Donald Trump as America’s next president was the leading cause of Jones’s initial stroke, which ultimately lead to her death. “Well, she’d been fighting cancer for a few years now, and there’s been all kinds of stuff coming at her,” Roth told the Los Angeles Times in a new interview. “But the thing that actually got her in the last couple of weeks was, she had a stroke watching the election results. After that first stroke she couldn’t move her leg, but she could still talk.” Roth quickly traveled to the hospital that was treating her in Cooperstown, New York, with the rest of the Dap-Kings soon following suit. “I saw her and she told the people that were there that Trump gave her the stroke. She was blaming Trump for the whole thing,” he continued. “She didn’t seem anxious or scared or anything. She just wanted to sing, you know, and every time there was a lull in the room she would start moaning some kind of gospel song.” Jones soon suffered a more serious stroke, Roth says, which rendered her unable to “talk or respond” to prompts anymore. She died a week later, surrounded by her family, friends, and bandmates at her bedside. Sharon Lafaye Jones was an American soul and funk singer. She was the lead singer of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, a soul and funk band based in Brooklyn, New York. http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/11/legendary-singer-sharon-jones-is-dead.html Lalasticlala

The authorities of Osun state University UNIOSUN, has given reasons why a former lecturer of the institution, Dr. Olabode Ojoniyi, who was involved in a sex video scandal was sacked. Fielding questions from newsmen during an interactive session in Osogbo yesterday, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Labode Poopola said, “We have to nip the scandal in the bud. Whatever has happened in UNIOSUN happens in any profession. Just that it is worse if it happens here (UNIOSUN). Because a lecturer is supposed to be a parent. It is worse, it is an immoral act and should be condemned. “The system has laid down methods of dealing with any one that engages in such. There are disciplinary measures, no lecturer will have infractions on our values and won’t be disciplined. “If you followed the story, you will realise that this university is a product of law and non of its statues can be stampeded. When we find someone defaulting, the university takes all necessary steps. “On this matter, the university took all the steps at all levels – Departmental, Faculty, Senate. Whatever you might read lately is the decision of the council. I am not in a position to say what next will be done.” When asked whether Ojoniyi’s doctorate degree could be withdrawn, he said, “Degrees are earned and worked for. UNIOSUN can’t strip him of his degree but wherever he got it from. Degrees are issued on learning and character.” http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/11/fake-spiritualist-dupes-woman-of_16.html Lalasticlala

Workers engaged in a restoration project at the church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem have reported extraordinary phenomena at the tomb in which Jesus was laid, located inside the basilica. Workers report that as they approached the tomb they detected a “sweet aroma”—the sort of floral scent that has often been reported in encounters with the saints and with Marian apparitions. The workers also report that some electronic devices that were left near the tomb began to malfunction or broke down entirely, suggesting that they had been affected by powerful electromagnetic forces. An international team is engaged in restoration work at the Edicule: the little shrine that was built around the site of Jesus’ tomb. In October, the team exposed the sheet of rock on which Christ’s body was laid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zAdDchBQoc http://www.aksmedias.com.ng/2016/11/a-strange-phenomena-in-sky-of-jerusalem.html Lalasticlala
