Looking at the truck critically, you will see that it's a faulty vehicle. See the caution signs placed careful under, see the glass rolled up as a person who is going away to look for help. The total dersertation of the area tells the whole story.

Look for a towing truck to help the driver.
Professor, is that where you put caution signs when a vehicle is at fault?

IfnobeGod20:
I love your mature discourse unlike some people that always think you must dance to their opinion no matter how senseless their submissions may be.
For your number 1. In Yoruba land there is a common saying that, oju to ma bani ka le, kin wapin la ro. (Meaning the eye that will last till old age, will not at early age start bringing eye gunk). That will be a big danger, if not quickly attended to.
Tinubu's government started in a wrong footing and that has snowballed to different hiccups on his government but the funny thing is he is not ready to arrest it.
No serious leader allow his own policy destabilise his government progress. This is the first time I am seen a civilian president adamant to reconsider his own policy. With this every reasonable person would make an informed submission of where the regime is heading to. Go and listen to non partisan commentaries, they are saying the same thing, that Tinubu's policies have no future.
You know how problem as a country. We don't want to localise our problems and solve them locally. Any time policy maker organisation say something about Nigeria, our leaders will just come home quickly and implement it but forgetting we have peculiarity.
Nigeria is an oil and foreign goods dependent country. Anything that affect the two will virtually affect everything, even the cheapest thing in the country. If a leader doesn't put that in mind, he will misfire and that is what is affecting Tinubu's policies.
2. No doubt our tax drive does not cover some specifics but if you know the amount generated in tax monthly, you will know that this country is paying a lot of tax but corruption has been our major set back.
3. Please what concern the past leaders with the present condition that the people are facing. We cannot continue dwelling in the past, that's why we are not moving forward. Any past leader that is found wanting should be prosecuted by the agency saddled with the responsibility to do so than people exerting their energy looping all of them together.
Another issue that is also setting us back is leadership accountability. We don't put our leaders to accountability and that's why they do and undo and get away with it and that has stepped down to the community level. The community leaders want you to do what is obtainable at the higher echelon of leadership.
Thanks once again for your educative response.
Wa pe, wa gbo, wa ri imi pa.
Well I agree with you on the zombie method of leadership which is not peculiar to Nigeria alone. IMF beats a drum, they dance like mentally affected beings.
As for the policies, they are necessary but shouldn't be at the same time.
Under Buhari/Emefiele, people just get loans in millions, get Forex at official rates, cross the gather, sell at black market rate and became billionaires overnight whereas me and you that need the Forex for tuition application, Emefiele stopped the use of debit card from paying at international market. A victim.

Subsidy, one of the beneficiaries said on air that they even went to the then president to beg him to stop paying subsidy because he inclusive have taken too much monies from non imported fuel but just submitting invoices .

You will want to say why didn't the government prosecute him! This has been on since the return to civil rules mostly run by the few but powerful oligarchs in Nigeria.

See, you are only being agitated which is normal, 99 % of the people shouting are not honest, they are only shouting because their own people are not there or not getting returns. Nigerians are not truthful.

I was a community leader in my street, we had electricity issue and I wrote to different institutes to help us with transformer, I got it but the community frustrated me out of power on two grounds. 1. Why didn't we spend the money but was saving 2 why is it that I am the only one going to the institution I wrote letter to? Places that I thought of on my own oooo. Me begging for transformer will now go and take bribe? I resigned though begged to stay but left. The successive chairman has also resigned.

Nigeria problems can not be solved overnight, if you protest that will create chaos, it will only benefit the North.
I am not a fan of Tinubu because there were basic things he ought to do but either afraid of the cabal of which he is a member or IMF.
He too could start the sacrifices from his office.

Under Obasanjo, there was outcry, same under Yaradu, at a time we asked him to reduce the 7 point agenda to 3 and face but nothing until he died, Jonathan also could have done greatly but they were sharing money and blood. Buhari came enriching his people where a recharge card seller became overnight billionaires.

Tinubu came and give appointment to all the old politicians that brought the ship to the rocks.
God bless you, bless Nigeria

IfnobeGod20:
This is what I hate hearing. Every successful government come and complained of her predecessor and Aimee times complained of foundational predecessors. To me, it makes no sense at all. You vie for an election because you think you can do it more better. Dwelling on the past failures makes me angry and uncomfortable. If during campaign you safely tell the electorates, I won't be able to do more than the person there now, I do believe electorates would have looked for an alternative.
No doubt we depend too much on importation but our problem is multifaceted and it was primary caused by policy somersault of the government. Let me give you a little scenario of what caused this hike in prices of goods and services. Mama P a garri seller went to market to buy foreign good and on getting there she discovered the good she was buying ₦2k is now ₦10k. On getting home, she has not look for alternate to argument the increase she incurred in the good she bought, she will now increase the price of her garri she's selling ₦3k to ₦7k. Now, papa K selling yam went to buy garri and discovered the price of garri has increased, he gets back home and increase his yam price from ₦2k to ₦5k and the circle continues. This is what caused this incessant hike in the prices of goods and services.
My brother, Nigerians are paying well in tax. The only problem we have is corruption. Someone like me , I am paying over ₦20k deductible from my salary monthly and if you add the total number within my grade level, you will discover the government is making millions on my grade level, lest the other grade levels. That's just for one organisation. Corruption has been the bane of our problem and not any other thing.
The reason people complain about government policy is because of the insincerity on the part of government. Government will say one thing but go and do another thing. You don't tell the citizens to endure but went buying tyres and rims for 3.7b. Go build VP house for ₦30b as if he doesn't have where he is living before. Go renovate National Assembly for ₦15b. Travelling to Ethiopia with ₦1b. An Ethiopia in Africa and so many frivolities that can make a man you told to endure to look at you that you're fooling him.
Government insincerity is what is causing people to complain of their policies.
Let the government be seen cutting cost and selfless in service and that will build the people's confidence in them.
Thanks for your response, the summary of the whole thing is bad, greedy and corrupt governance over the year.
1. A year is never enough to turn around the economy. However, there was pride in the implications of both subsidy and Forex floating thereby creating hardship.

2. Nigeria is not paying the required tax compared with other countries as well as developed countries but then, government has not justified the little we pay. They live big at the expense of the infrastructure and development. While working in oau then, we divided the personnel cost alone by the numbers of students all together, each student is required to pay 500k per annum to cover salaries alone. Overheard and capital
expenditure excluded.

3. I support protest that will address all the politicians both present and past who brought us to this level but not selected targets.

I stand tall to tell you that a some countries within west Africa pay COVID 19 tax up till even the lat purchase I made today.

It is well. I was once a community leader, I stand tall till today but we were forced to resign because we did not share the community money.

i understand that some of you rather live on your knees than standing on your own feet but you have to get your mind out of this broke man's mentality. so you believe Nigeria gov doesnt have the money to pay the 100K minimum salary to its workers, really? or is it that these people prefer to syphon the money to do other yeye irrelevant nonsense?

let me ask: do you know that only 10% of the $150billion Samoa loan can pay the 100k monthly to the roughly 1m civil servants in Nigeria, for the next 20yrs?... let me rephrase that so you understand what the fukc i am talking about.... 10% of that yeye Samoa loan can pay that 100k monthly salary bill to all the civil servants in Nigeria for the next 20yrs... but you are all here telling us that 100k minimum salary its not doable?!? you people are comedians, i swear!!!

just because some bastard elected officials are still treating you people like he-goats, doesnt make any of it right, does it? if you people allow them to treat you all like goats, and give you guys grass to chop and you guys happily munch on it, then why should they stop feeding you he-goats yeye nonsense?!
You raise valid arguments above and then used your conclusion to destroy it. Anyway, your conclusion describes you.
However, I am indifferent to how much was agreed in the sense that some still couldn't pay 30k.
However, no rational government would take a loan to pay her citizens because salaries would not generate revenue to pay back.
Also, the amount paid as an increase in wage has a multiplier effect on the economy like the subsidy removal.
It will astronomically push inflation forward.
Small business owners may not afford such

As there been a time that Nigerians been subjected to such wanton economy reality that have taken over the entirely life savings of the people, that a salary of a civil servant would not be able to buy a bag of rice. Are you aware today, a bag of semovita is ₦15,000. A bag of rice is ₦78,000. A bag of beans is ₦200k plus. Now, tell yourself was it how it was when I was in primary school, depending on your sha? As at today a tuber of yam is between ₦4k to ₦6k in the same obodo Naija where once upon a time a 120 tubers of yam, called ofa were sold less than ₦15k. Now you buy less than 5 for that price today. Comparing the groaning of the yester years to today is unwise of you.
You are very polite and I am ready to engage you.
Firstly, I am not in anyway justifying the current sufferings our politicians have put us only if we can holistically and honestly deal with them all but not selective targets.
Secondly, there is global problems and we are being directly affected because we depend too much on importations. This is also owing to age long corruption and greed.
Thirdly, why it is true we can't justify existence of the taxes and revenue collected, Nigeria pay almost the lowest tax rates in the world. Except Eritrea and Nigeria, all other African countries pay minimum 15% as vat, the current exchange rate of 1560 was used to compare the minimum wage in selected countries,
Let them use same rate to determine the cost of fuel and every other things, you will know we still enjoy in a way.

We complain of all the policies before now, should we continue in same ways? Rewanda did not just get it right overnight.
I am not a fan of Tinubu because he should also muster the courage to reduce the cost of governance ranging from national assembly to his own too not that it is the only poor Nigeria that should endure additional hardship

FamilyRe: Wife Insists On Having Separate Bedrooms After Wedding by Samtob90(m): 10:24pm On Jun 07, 2024
loveoris:
Is it such a bad idea though? I mean, to actually want separate bedrooms from your husband? Maybe his room bigger, the Master bedroom to accommodate both parties but another smaller separate room for wifey....just saying.

An intending couple got into a heated argument just a few weeks before their wedding when during a conversation the wife stated that she wanted her own bedroom. The man didn't take it to heart at first assuming she was joking, but soon enough realized the pretty lady wasn't joking at all. She meant every word of it. This ensued in a huge argument that dragged on for days. Members of the family and friends even got involved at some point. I remember my dad calling to ask me how I felt about the whole situation, my answer was pretty much simple- Give the young lady what she wants.

Hear me out!!!

Firstly, the space is not an issue, its not like they need to go buy or rent another house to accommodate this arrangement. They own a house of their own that has enough rooms that nobody uses.
Secondly, her reasons are very valid, which probably would be my reasons too. We don't always want to talk, be cuddled or argue, sometimes we just need our space to think clearly and enjoy the solitude. She went ahead to say she doesn't like herself during her menstrual phase so she stays away from everyone, doesn't go to work, she is just indoor writhing in pain and consoling herself. She would like to continue with that without having to bother or lash out at her husband simply because she is in pain. She made him understand that he is only fighting it because he has been conditioned traditionally that they must have the same room. However, if he is been truthful to himself he would realize that alone times can't be bought with money, doesn't mean they don't love each other anymore, it just means there is a need for recharge.

Her other reason was she wouldn't want her siblings or very close friends to ever have a reason to step into their matrimonial bedroom, which is the husband's room.
Her last reason, very valid too, is that she is quite a clumsy person, she looks for one outfit for the day and the whole place is upside down, her husband however is very neat freak and loves everything exactly how they should be. She said she wants to have her freedom and be able to have her things in a separate room, that way her mess is out of his face.

I personally think its a great idea for a woman to have a separate room that is hers, she can decorate it to her taste, have her me times, like her own closet. Even though most of the night I will be in my husband's room cuddled up, cos what is sleep without my man. But I'd love to know the option is there for me when I need to be alone for whatever reason. Moreso, the room is not going to be out of bound to my husband, he can always come in whenever he wants, the bed will be big enough for two, just incase the HS ministers to us right there....lol
It isn't the best but can easily creates rooms for gap.
If my wife insists, I will let her be but whatever goes on in the room shouldn't be her concern
