Wow, while a few could have preempted the loss of these three teams, most individuals however would have gone for straight wins for each of them.
The question on our minds is where did it all go wrong?
1. CHELSEA VS CRYSTAL PALACE:
When the game started, to be sincere I was sure of a three pointer for the blues. more or less likely what you think, we all felt since Crystal palace had not only failed to pick up points this season, they had also failed to register even a goal this season. Oh yeah! Maybe the return of their talisman changed the whole cycle, but still this remains a shock to the footballing world till now. After a conceded goal, the new boy Tiemoune Bakayoko netted an equaliser which many felt will pull the blues into further momentum to go on and possibly even trash the Palace players. It wasn't meant to be so! A first win of the season for Crystal Palace, and yes deserved! 2-1 to the good. Underrated?
2.JUVENTUS VS LAZIO:
A Juventus side perhaps without the previous seasons best defenders Chiellini and Bonucci faced a Lazio squad boasting of a front talisman Ciro Immobile.
We all expected a tough contest and we saw this happen, but also we thought with Juve at home, it could have gone their way. But, it wasn't meant to be so. Lazio took the day 1-2. With Napoli also beating A.S Roma away from home, they have opened up a 5 point sweet lead away from the others.100 percent record so far.
3.WATFORD VS ARSENAL:
While the transfer window went on, the big boys spent a huge lot. Could same be said of the gunners? Wengers men came into this game without alot of key players eg Mustafi, Ramsey, Sanchez, Ozil etc. But still, we expected a win at least from the gunners!
Another preventable loss! And once more they're going off the title race! Kudos to destroyers Man city who are currently blazing the trail. The gunners will have to regroup to even have a chance of playing in Europe next season.
Everyone is really serious in the premiership this season.
What do you think was the most surprising of results in the premier league yesterday?

HealthA Short But Complete Guide On What Monkey Pox Truly Is by samuo13(op): 10:27am On Oct 13, 2017
Hello readers,
It is no news whatsoever any more " the recent outbreak of monkeypox " You must have heard about the recent outbreak of monkeypox in Bayelsa. A question that would have most likely come up in your mind was: “What is really monkey pox?”
Well, bearing reference to its unique name, it was first discovered among some isolated monkeys in Denmark in 1958. It was not known to have any effect on humans until the year 1970 when a 9 year old boy was discovered to have contracted monkeypox in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since then, there have been a few outbreaks mainly in West and Central Africa.
Is the monkeypox virus deadly?
Yes, it could be deadly. Although never as deadly as smallpox nor as deadly as Ebola.
Monkeypox kills less than 10% of people who contract it. The most common form of smallpox killed about 30% of people who had it, with up to 80% of people infected developing serious scars , especially on their faces. The average risk of death from ebola among those infected was higher than 50% during its last outbreak in West Africa.
Even though it is far less deadly when compared to smallpox and Ebola, it is of high importance to know it’s signs, symptoms and how it is prevented.
What are the signs and symptoms of monkeypox?
When a person has been infected with monkeypox, it takes about 7-14 days for any symptoms or signs to show.
The first few features of this disease are usually non-specific. Here are some of the signs and symptoms:
1.Fever
2.Intense headache
3.Body Weakness
4.Muscle pain
5.Back pain
6.Swelling of lymph nodes
Within a day to 3 days after these symptoms start, a rash usually develops around the face. It then spreads to other parts of the body.
The illness usually lasts for about 2-4 weeks.
HOW IS MONKEYPOX TRANSMITTED?
The primary method of transmission in human outbreaks is from infected animals. Monkeypox has been isolated in animals like:
Squirrels
Rats and
Monkeys
It is common in rural populations where infected animals can be hunted, killed and eaten. Close contact with an infected animal can lead to the human spread of this virus.
Monkeypox can also be transmitted from person-to-person. This method of transmission is less common than transmission from infected animals.
It can be spread by:
1.direct Contact with blood, body fluids and rash of an infected person
2.Close contact with respiratory droplets like cough and sneezes.
3.Close contact with clothes and linen used by infected persons.
HOW CAN IT BE TREATED AND PREVENTED?
There is no specific medication for monkeypox virus. However, people often recover fully from treatment of its symptoms.
There is also no available vaccine for it.
monkey pox can be prevented by avoiding close contact with infected animals and persons.
Also, especially during outbreaks like this, it is advisable to properly cook animal meat before eating as this usually kills the virus.
Health workers can also prevent being infected by the use of gloves and other personal protective equipment.
Even though it is not as deadly as smallpox or Ebola, it is important to understand how monkeypox is spread and prevented, especially as there is an ongoing outbreak in Bayelsa which has even spread to some other states.
You should not panic but try to avoid close contact with infected rodents and monkeys. Also do ensure you eat adequately cooked meat.

Good day!
This article is specifically aimed at showing the pattern in which we should wash our faces everyday. Many of us just think we should just pour water on our faces without even reasoning if it could have poor consequences. Follow the procedures in this post to learn HOW TO WASH YOUR FACE PROPERLY.
Do you want to learn the best technique for keeping your face bright, healthy and fresh? Washing your face every day is an easy way to give your facial skin a boost, but it's important to do it correctly so your skin wont dry out or get inflamed. Whether your skin is acne-prone, dry and delicate, or somewhere in between, it's always best to learn how to wash with the right technique for your skin type.
WASHING YOUR FACE EVERY DAY:
Wet your face with warm water. Pull your hair back and wet your skin with plenty of warm water. Using hot or cold water can be very abrasive to your skin, but making use of warm water is gentle and won't cause irritation.
You could splash some water on your face using your hands, or otherwise, moisten a towel and use that to wet your skin.
Wetting your skin before applying cleanser will help the soap slide more e

EducationHow To Detect Risks Of Heart Attack And Stroke...latest News Technology by samuo13(op): 11:21am On Aug 20, 2017
Lasers used to detect risk of heart attack and stroke.
By Samuel samuo August 20, 2017
Patients at risk of heart attacks and strokes may be spotted earlier thanks to a diagnosis tool that uses near-infrared light to identify high-risk arterial plaques, according to research carried out at WMG, University of Warwick, the Baker Institute and Monash University.
The scientists observed that when they increased the wavelength of the light currently used to visualise the fatty build-up found in arteries (atherosclerotic plaques) they could selectively identify the rupture-prone deposits, which commonly lead to blood clots, heart attacks and strokes.
While some fatty deposits or plaques can remain stable for years, other high-risk cases develop complications, such as bleeding into the plaque, which leads to the formation of cracks and rupture of the fatty plaque. This can result in blockages in the blood vessels causing a heart attack or stroke. Current imaging techniques are able to identify some characteristics of high-risk plaques but none are generally accepted as reliable methods for selectively detecting the dangerous plaques.
"What we have done uses innovative, materials-based techniques to assist in the development of new diagnostic tools," explains Dr Tara Schiller, WMG, University of Warwick.
"This could help us to detect the threat of an imminent heart attack and result in a decrease of the mortality rates," Dr Schiller continues.
Dr Tara Schiller from the International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing at WMG, along with colleagues from the Baker and Monash University, have discovered that increasing the wavelength of the infra-red (IR) radiation currently used to detect fatty deposit build-up in arteries to near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths allowed them to selectively identify plaques with internal bleeding, typically associated with high-risk deposits.
The products causing this fluorescence were identified using Raman spectroscopy. They are thought to be a mixture of heme products, formed during the degradation of red blood cells. These products were only observed in the unstable plaques with internal bleeding and not observed in the more stable fatty deposits. This can improve selectivity when looking for high-risk deposits in patients and could help doctors to identify the most at-risk patients.
"Despite the millions of dollars spent each year particularly on heart imaging, there still isn't a reliable way of identifying these unstable plaques," explains Dr Karlheinz Peter.
"We realised when we shine a light in the near-infrared wavelength range, that this light is reflected at a certain wavelength. So in a way we can use laser light to shine up the plaques that are unstable, and it's very characteristic," Dr Peter continues.
After further investigation with clinical trials this method of imaging technique could be used to assess unstable fatty arterial plaques and could be used to monitor the effectiveness of the drugs used to prevent heart attacks or strokes.
The research 'Near-infrared autofluorescence induced by intraplaque hemorrhage and heme degradation as marker for high-risk atherosclerotic plaques' is published in Nature communications.

Headaches are never a source of joy to anyone, the fact that it most often at times than never reduces our work rate cannot be denied. This post serves to throw a little light on a few lifestyle changes we can implement to prevent headaches from affecting us. It could also prove to be an excellent method to get rid of headaches.
1.GO TO BED AND WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME EACH DAY:
Consistency is key. This works very well in getting rid of headaches. One of the triggers for migraines are hormonal fluctuations. Your body will manufacture and release hormones such as cortisol and melatonin in response to the number of hours of sleep you get and when you get them. These fluctuations, along with sleep deprivation, can trigger migraine headaches.
2.TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO LIMIT YOUR ALCOHOL AND CAFFEINE INTAKE:
Alcohol and caffeine affect your neuroregulatory system when taken consistently over a period of time. Although the exact cause of migraine headaches has not yet been identified, most physicians attest to the fact that migraines can be triggered by changes to the neurological system.
In small amounts caffeine can increase the effects of acetaminophen when taken at the beginning of a headache. One cup of coffee with acetaminophen is often enough. If you drink too much caffeine, over two cups, you are most likely going to get a rebound headache later on.
3.REDUCE STRESS:
Stress triggers the release of hormones that may affect your neurological system, which can trigger migraine headaches. Not all stress reduction strategies work for everyone, so it's important to find something that works for you.
Prioritize what has to be done, take one challenge at a time and move on. Try not to get overwhelmed by the tasks that you have to complete.Practice deep breathing. Deep breathing can lower your heart rate and reduce your stress. Positive self-talk will also do a great lot to help you reduce your stress levels.
4.GET REGULAR EXERCISE:
Exercise will reduce stress, improve your mood and enhance your self-esteem. Take a 15 minute walk after each meal, go swimming at the local pool, try jogging in the evening after work, or try to ride a bike
