A soldier attached to the Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crisis and five others were gunned down by unknown gunmen in an attack in Bisich village, Barkin Ladi local government area, Plateau state.

The gunmen reportedly stormed the village on Monday night, through a maize farm and shot sporadically at the residents in the wee hours of Tuesday. But residents said the attackers were repelled by the STF.

Another tale says a 70-year old man was killed in the community during an attack on the same community on Saturday night. The Media officer of the STF, Ikedichi Iweha, confirmed the death of the soldier and five others
