We can judge of the absurdity of this situation and the think of alternatives to it because we are outsiders, The mom and the child don't see it that way, I guess they thought that it was a 'God-given' opportunity and didn't want to let that chance slip in fear of 'hungry tomorrows'... Survival can cause some people to accept what comes first even if it's not the best thing to do... |
