The Nigerian government has introduced a new criteria for prospective applicants for the Nigerian passport. According to the federal government, Nigerians will from 2018 need their national Identification Number, NIN, for the processing of the Nigerian passport. This was made known by the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigraition Service, NIS, Mohammed Babandede who stated that no Nigerian will be able to obtain a valid Nigerian passport or renew an old international passport in the absence of the National Identification Number, NIN. Mohammed Babandede while speaking on Tuesday to newsmen after a meeting of the database harmonisation committee stated that the latest development is part of the move by the federal government to have a centralised database for Nigerians and to also improve the business environment in the country. He stated that the NIS is targeting about 180 million persons in the space of three years, a boost from the present number pegged at 20 million Nigerians. He stated that foreigners will however be unable to renew their permits except they obtain an identification number. “We have agreed that from January 1, 2018, anybody who is going to apply for Nigerian passport, whether renewal or fresh, must first have a national identity number. “I have also given the directive that any foreigner resident in Nigeria will not get his permit renewed until he has a NIMC number. To achieve this, NIMC and passport numbers will be........... sources:http://hereinnigeria.com/2017/08/02/fg-introduces-new-requirement-for-getting-nigerian-passport/ |

Manchester United fans were sent into a delighted frenzy when the club officially confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker arrives in a £75million deal and could be the biggest signing of the summer should Lukaku fire United back to the top of the Premier League table. It is a big coup for United and an ambitious move and the announcement came at around the same time as Liverpool confirmed a new signing. Chelsea youth star Dominic Solanke has joined the Reds to officially become their second summer signing. source:http://hereinnigeria.com/2017/07/10/manchester-united-fans-destroy-liverpool-for-announcing-dominic-solanke-deal-at-same-time-as-romelu-lukaku-read-more-httpmetro-co-uk20170710manchester-united-fans-destroy-liverpool-for-announ/

So far the war against Boko haram has been a lose one i must say, apart from the fact that the money appropriated for the procurement of arms was mismanaged and our soldiers were left with no good weapons to fight the war, I do blame the government and will always blame them for their short comings and the lack of common sense to tackle the religious sect called boko harm. The government and the Nigerian soldiers do not have the technical know-how to face boko haram, back in 2009 when the group started bombing churches and killing people every now and then the government didn't do any tangible thing rather than trying to negotiate deals with them like they did with Niger Delta militants not knowing the Niger Delta militants are not on the same scale with the boko haram. We are so much of the believe that we arguably have the strongest land soldiers so we called ourself the giant of Africa not knowing our soldiers are only skilled in combating , humiliating and dehumanizing the normal citizen by mistreating and calling them bloody civilian. The government announced the procurement of new satellite promising it would be used to trace the boko haram activities in the sambisa forest but we the masses don’t know if the space satellite was throughly purchased or they embezzled the money as usual, and am not even sure why the government has to announce such news publicly, maybe to give boko haram hints so they can get ready, I mean such news should be after the group has been conquered. The government keep on feeding the boko haram the necessary news giving them their directions so the group finds it easy to strike in the opposite direction of the governments movement. The government endangered the soldiers’ life while many even died on the battle field. Technology has made things easier, United States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 with atomic bomb... source:http://hereinnigeria.com/2017/06/27/why-we-are-yet-to-conquer-boko-haram/
