South African locals have taken to the streets to protest, calling for the return of foreign nationals back to South Africa.
The protesters claimed that the departure of foreigners has negatively affected employment opportunities, saying many people have lost jobs as a result. They also argued that several factories are owned by foreign nationals, and that their exit has worsened the unemployment situation.
The demonstrators appealed to the South African president to intervene and address their concerns. "Without foreigners we are nothing", chanted some of the protesters.

An American rapper and entrepreneur, Rick Ross is setting the record straight after a viral video earlier this week showed him apparently keeping a low profile while waiting to board a commercial flight.
The footage quickly spread across social media, sparking speculation about why the luxury-loving hip-hop mogul was flying with everyday passengers instead of aboard his well-known private jet.
Ross addressed the situation directly, dismissing rumors that financial troubles played any role in his travel plans. According to the rapper, his private aircraft was undergoing a technology upgrade, including the installation of Starlink satellite internet service, making it unavailable for the trip.
"My jet was getting updated with Starlink," Ross explained, adding that the timing of the upgrade led him to book a commercial flight instead.
The trip reportedly took Ross to Colombia, where he joined fellow Florida rap veterans Trick Daddy and Ball Greezy for a night of partying at Escape. Despite the unexpected travel arrangement, Ross said the trip was a success and that he had an amazing time.
The explanation comes after social media users flooded comment sections with jokes and theories following the viral airport footage. Ross, who has built much of his public image around luxury living, exotic cars, and private aviation, appeared unfazed by the attention and instead focused on highlighting the memorable experience he shared with friends.
While the viral clip generated plenty of online discussion, Ross made it clear that the commercial flight was simply a temporary necessity while his aircraft received upgrades.
Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, made a powerful statement during his performance at the FIFA Countdown Concert in Los Angeles. The award-winning artist appeared on stage wearing a custom-made jacket bearing the names of the abducted schoolchildren and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria.
The gesture drew attention to the plight of the victims and highlighted the ongoing concerns surrounding insecurity and school abductions in parts of the country. By displaying the names on his outfit at a global event, Davido used his international platform to raise awareness and show solidarity with the affected families and communities.
kingthreat: Let's face it, some men are unfortunate in marriage and will marry insatiable wives that will cheat on them. When that is you fate, there is nothing you can do about it. Neither your good looks or money will have you. But the queestion here is who would you rather be? Will you be the one to cry about it like Mr. B or the one to be calm and make your moves to hit her when and where she never expected like Mr. A?
