All the cards I have access to right now are gtbank.

Used to take about 3 days from despatched to overseas till it gets to Nigeria, now it takes 5- 10 days (Your mileage may vary).
Give it till Friday.

Mine was despatched since 24 March (10 days now). Expecting it to get to Lagos today.

Singapore post has gotten so much slower.

Ok, a big thank you to everyone who me..
Gptech, gucciboss, youngpo413, jboixxx and every other moniker

So I went to slot today and I was referred to a xiaomi staff somewhere in Ikeja and found out that twas an hardware problem and not software iish....so I messaged dreami store to see if there was anything they could do about it, they didn't reply......the xiaomi guy made me understand that they havent started selling 4a in Nigeria yet, therefore they don't have the spare parts yet but they had spare parts for redmi 4 and some others........so he adviced that I look for someone who just ordered a 4a and let the person open a dispute on my behalf claiming its the phone he ordered so I can get either a new screen from them or part refund.....I dunno if you guys get that.

This makes perfect sense. It means that they accept fault for the malfunctioning phone and they are ready to send you a new screen or refund some of the money.

We are quite aware alot of things determine prices.
We put courses on those that makes Nigeria this bad, we are forgetting we are part of them. Where is ur integrity. Where is ur business ethics? U wonder why so many businesses fail? If u treat people fairly, u will get such back. Dreami store is an example, it will take some serious bad management before that company can fold up. Those selling phones at exorbitant rate, how many customers do they get now that a lot of people are getting more and more informed?

Watch out for my post tonight, as i will drop some insider secret about phone sellers and shippers. And will also disect them.
Please, Note that my post is for information purposes only. Not to spoil anyone.

Please note that i used the word exorbitant and fair to describe price, whereby u can make alot of money while u are still being fair

Chief...

I am not antagonising you. I was just stating facts.

FYI, I have not imported for anyone on this thread, yet.

True..
In addition, we should try and take our eyes off the amount people choose to sell their gadgets.. .
Some factors could affect the selling price e.g location..
Let's respect each other..
One love

Exactly. I did not want to get involved in this phone prices rubbish but let me say this.

Business is business. If someone buys a phone for 10 naira and wants to sell it for 50 naira, it is a free world and he can. You cannot call someone wicked for fixing a price on an item that he bought with his own capital, account etc.

It is left for the buyer to do their research on the said phone and get information so as not to be cheated. Even on aliexpress you will find the same Xiaomi Mi5 prime at widely different prices (from $230 to over $270) yet they get it at the same price from Xiaomi.

Even Jumia sells Mi5 for over 130k while we're getting it at below 80k here.

So let everyone do their business as they please.

However let me say this: if you see someone who wants to buy a phone, for example at an exorbitant price from a seller, and you feel that they are being cheated, you may offer your own cheaper or even free services but not in such a way as to make the initial seller seem like a wicked greedy person.
For example, you may ask the person to message or call you privately.

After all, if you go market buy groundnut oil na different different prices you go dey hear from different sellers and it is up to you to decide which you want to buy based on cheaper prices, familiarity with the seller, seller's reputation etc.

Peace.

Sir!!!.. Mi5 battery is far from average.. I was worried about the 3000Mah battery life, but compared to the note 3 and note 4 I had used, the mi5 battery held its own..
The phone is dope and shouldn't be compared to any redmi phone... Glad I got it
Whoever is considering it should go for it... it's a beauty

My mi5 is coming this week. These are the kind of posts I love to see.

Op3 is a wonderful phone but it runs stock android OS. Stock android is actually boring. I use it on my Ulefone Paris.

Very boring. I may be biased cos I've been using it for over a year now though.

TBH if you are using Xiaomi MIUI, the Android updates won't matter. Very rich ROM.

Thanks for the explanation and insight.. Unfortunately, I just discovered none of the listed Xiaomi brands make provisions for both Sim cards and a memory card. I must sacrifice one of the Sim slots for an SD card which really is a turn off for me. I guess I have to stick to my earlier option that is the blackview bv7000 pro or is there any other powerful phone that satisfies all those requirements and within the same price range that you can suggest? Thanks!

You don't need sim card if you get a 64gb phone. And even if you need extra space, then get a flash and off cable.

Thanks a lot guys! Am in the process of sealing a deal with Protein0. Seems a decent guy I must say. However, my head has been turned by the xaiomi phones almost in the same price range as the blackview bv7000.... Lol. Like the xaiomi note 4, xaiomi MI max and xaiomi mi5. Guys, I will still like an advice which is best or most preferred between this blackview bv7000 and these listed xaiomi phones. Thanks again!

Note: I want to buy a phone that can serve without me needing to buy another in the next 2-3 years.

The blackview bv7000 is a "rugged phone". It is made for extreme conditions like people who go mountaineering and sea-diving etc. This doesn't mean that it can't be used by regular users who just want the extra protection.

Xiaomi phones however are known for their excellent performance (which blackview phones don't deliver). And you can also protect them with glass screen protectors and cases.

Some persons are actually funny, pray not to meet such.

Actually, I agree. Mr noobody has even nicely summed it up for us.

noobody:

Actually it is a joke + pun, because we hav rougue elements amongst us,no doubts, sum people dont care bout the future, all dey want to do is chop now,dey dont care d hurt or impact dey cause on others,we hav heard many stories of nairalanders trusting strangers with there money and it all went into thin air,but the truth is we still hav very honest ones amongst us as well, very honest i must say,
My first order was to a member of our telegram grp in warri,d guy doesnt know wot i look likw,he trusted me with 70k+ for mi max and other stuffs,i delivered to him without any issues at all, second one is the redmi 4a i am in d process as well, this person sef dey abeokuta, still he doesnt know whot i look like, trusted me with 30k+ including accesories.dos kin people nor be fools na,bur dey still av faith in humanity
But sum people wud contact u,u wud explain the history of alixpress to them, explain all d models of each xiaomi phones to them,in the end,dey wud tell u to go and order the phone with your own money, dat wen d tin land, dey wud pay u in full ,cos dey r scared u wud scam them,if i was doing this as a business na diff case, but i help people order with no extra charge nd u still expect me to use my own money.na OYO u dey oo

Well am impressed with sum peeps thou, even with this my username, dey still gat trust, thumbs up

Well, all true.

I haven't ever helped anyone on nairaland to order before but I have ordered a phone and jewellery to a acquaintance in Port Harcourt.

As you say, it takes not only trust buy also maturity.
