Ask your husband what he earns , there’s no point in wasting your money on another application if he doesn’t meet the financial requirements, as they will still refuse it. |

chrysbees: I wrote ielts because I went to a Polytechnic, but still use the 2014 ielts I wrote for my ilr last year. My sister in law sent her uni cert.to Naric and got certification back same 2015, so she didn't write ielts. Though if you feel the Naric will be stressful, you can write the ielts. Just like you said, that was 2015 experience. |

MamaEEE: You don't need ielts, don't waste your money. Just add your Uni cert. Remember to write why you were denied, like in complete documentation bla bla bla. Try and get more pictures. |

CiscoChic: Just do a letter to the UKba, quote your ref if you have one and get a new passport to have a supporting document incase you need to use the new name. All they need is letter and attach a copy of the new passport to it,thats it. |
Hello everyone, I am new to nairaland, I am currently waiting for my spouse settlement visa. I applied sometimes ago in December 2014, which was refused. We logged in an appeal in 2015 which was successful. The determination was promulgated in 31/07/2015, ever since I didn't hear anything from them, until I wrote to the SAT(specialist appeal Team) they wrote me back, to inform me that they have concluded on my case, that they have since forwarded the matter to ECO in Lagos on the 11th of September and they further explained in that email that they were not going to challenge the decision of the the Judge. The email also says that the ECO in lagos is now responsible for the issuing of the visa. What's really the true, is that the spouse settlement visa can be issue in Lagos or in Sheffield? Please, if there is anyone in the house with any ideal concealing this matter, please don't hesitate to advise. Your advice and comments will be highly appreciated. Regards, Winso26[/quote Anything settlement is handled by Sheffield. Sheffield will send a mail to you for submission of passport. The time frame is 8weeks from promulgated date,so relax it will come by end of this week or next week, you will send your passport back to sheffield. |

Its 26,250 naira. Standard chartered bank has a customized teller for IOM,tell him to note his passport no. He can just walk in and tell them that he want to make payment for his tb test, they will put him through. Portsmouth86: |

I applied last year june, got refused in sept. Submitted appeal form in oct 2014,husby appeared in court in March 2015,got determination letter in june, and ukba sent in call letter on my bday(aug 27 2015). I submitted my passport to sheffield two days after call letter. Got a mail today ,to pick up my passport in like 3-5days time. I pray God in His infinite mercy attend to everybody going through appeal process in Jesus name. Appeal is time consuming and could be frustrating. phaara: |

Got this today:A decision has been made on your UK Visa application. Your application will be dispatched shortly from the Decision Making Centre in Sheffield, UK. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. I am so happpppyyyy. |

For those waiting for detemination letter or call letter, its best to tell your spouse to get his/her MP involved. I had my appeal in March but didnt get the determination letter until my husband contacted his MP ,who sent a mail to Sheffield. Sheffield sent the determination letter the same week the MP (JUNE 9)sent the mail. We started waiting for call letter, after 2months and nothing,we contacted the same MP ,she sent another mail to them this week Tuesday(Aug. 25). I got the call letter on thursday(Aug 27) ,same day as my bday. Submitted my passport,tb cert and a copy of the printed call letter today through dhl. The best email to use is: VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk Hope this will help. |
