It's only extreme low IQ that will make anyone anyone say Tinubus policies are good for Nigeria , his policies are self centered and have set the country economy back 50 years , anybody that will implement a policy that will shed your GDP per capita from 2300 dollar to 800 dollars in one year doesn't and can never mean well for you ... The writer will soon find out his disposable income has been stolen from him in manner he might never ever recover from again if not the grace of God ...Tinubu has gone past half his term and not a single economic or social metric has improved , even the guy that just got sworn in in Ghana already has numbers he has improved marginally .
Not single data seems to suggest even remotely that Bola Tinubu might be the best president
keep supporting nonsense |

Politics › Re: FIRS Chair: New Tax Laws Won’t Be Implemented Until January by SarkinYarki: 9:26am On Jun 27, 2025 |
CaptainGo: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed the Tax Reform Bills into law, which makes a major shift in our tax system. As a Nigerian, this new law directly affects you.
So this is a simple breakdown of the law, read to see how it impacts you.
1. FIRS Renamed: The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is now called the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS).
2. Unified Revenue Collection: The NRS will now handle revenue collections previously managed by agencies like the Nigeria Customs Service, NUPRC, NPA, and NIMASA.
3. Low-Income Relief: Workers earning ₦800,000 or less annually are now exempted from income tax.
4. High-Income Tax: A 25% personal income tax applies only to individuals earning above ₦50 million annually.
5. Small Business Exemption: Small business owners are fully exempted from paying income tax.
6. Corporate Tax Cut: Starting in 2026, company income tax for medium and large firms will be reduced from 30% to 25%.
7. VAT Exemptions on Essentials: There is no VAT on essential items like food, medical services, pharmaceuticals, school fees, and electricity.
8. No Tax Hike: VAT remains at 7.5%, and corporate income tax stays at 30%—there has been no increase.
9. New Development Levy: A 2%–4% Development Levy will now fund critical national institutions like NELFUND, TETFund, NITDA, and NASENI. Okay VAT was not increased ..I am okay with it , it's a good bill |

TallNigerian: Okay. I do and I advocate for them. I hope I haven't committed a crime?
Having answered your question, I will like to ask you, why does EFCC spend part of the proceeds of their recovery as an enforcement agency?
Can you now see you are not utilizing all of your brain capacity? We have said it times without Number that the EFCC shouldn't be spending part of their recovered funds , it's an illegality that shouldn't even stand , most of the money is looted without extra budgetary and that's what the NDLEA wants too and this is wrong , Every drug or asset seized is and exhibit which after the passing through the law can only be forfeited by law to the Federal Govt of Nigeria nor to the NDLEA , the NDLEA is a govt parastatal who must only spend from approved budgets , extra budgets and appropriation anything outside that is driven by the urge for unaccountability and corruption ..You want to have a fund that cannot be transparent in any way and that's not right , we are still fighting for security vote of governors to be cancelled and you are here trying bro add another problem |

Politics › Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by SarkinYarki: 11:50am On Jun 26, 2025 |
TallNigerian: Yes, but bureaucratic bottlenecks make implementation of capital projects cumbersome. We saw how 2024 and 2025 budgets are now running simultaneously due to poor implementation of capital budgets mainly as a result of poor cash-backing.
The money you have at hand will always be easily accessible than the one someone approved on paper and promised to give you.
This same retention strategy is why EFCC is doing fairly well today.
Like I said earlier, NDLEA just need good lobbyists, that's all. No one is wrong in this regard. I suspect you either work in NDLEA or have interest there , why should proceed of crime be spent by the the enforcement agency ? |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by SarkinYarki: 11:49am On Jun 26, 2025 |
TallNigerian: I understand NDLEA's stance and I understand PBAT's stance too.
Retaining a part of the proceeds would have enabled NDLEA afford the increase of staff allowances and other operational expenditure without depending solely on the National Treasury, just as is obtainable with GOEs like NUPRC, NCC, NIMASA, FIRS and co.
However, Baba said it is unconstitutional as it runs against the provisions of the Constitution.
I think NDLEA just need good lobbyist both at NASS and The Presidency who can tweak that clause into something more acceptable while still achieving same objective at the end. There is nothing to understand in NDLEA stance , they just want to steal unsupervised |
