Tithes Have No Place In Christianity.
The Ex-media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has reopened the topic of tithes in Christianity.

the socio-political analyst stated on Twitter that tithes have no place in Christianity.

Omokri wrote in a series of Tweets that he had read the bible cover to cover and has not seen a place where God commanded congregants to give their pastors tithes.

The fact that tithing is a Mosaic Law and not a Christian practice DOES NOT mean you shouldn’t give generously. It means that you should give as a matter of FREE WILL not as a matter of COMPULSION. Giving is recommended but NOT mandatory for Christians 2 Cor 9:7 #FactsAboutTithes

you can also recalls that the Cool FM OAP, Daddy Freeze had several times warned Christians to stop paying tithes to those he described as ‘pulpit bandits’ as it definitely attracts a curse from God.

In his latest remarks, Freeze was quick to point out that the Facebook CEO does not pay tithes or first fruit before going on to strongly encourage Christians to leave tithing alone.

In his words, “Third richest man in the world, no tithes, no first fruit, no seeds to Pentecostal principalities, no money given to pastors for prayers. This year alone he has given &3.58 billion to charity. None of the top 10 richest in the world are tithe payers or even Pentecostals.

Freeze continued, “God doesn’t need your money, the poor do! If you want to give money to God, give to the poor, NOT TO PASTORS! Mat25:32–41 explains this clearly! There is NOWHERE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT where Christians were told to give money to pastors, or the church, the New Testament giving went to the poor, yours too should go there as well!

“Tithing is the law Heb7:5 if you practice some parts of the law without practicing all of it brings a curse Gal3:10 and you fall away from God’s grace Gal5:4. Stop paying tithes to pulpit bandits, it attracts a curse and cuts you away from Christ, little wonder Jesus or the disciples never collected it!”

The former governor had made the post-conviction bail application to the court, on the basis of ill-health; but the application was rejected by the trial judge, Justice Adebukola Banjoko, Daily Trust reports.

Banjoko ruled that Nyame had not placed anything before the court to prove that his health situation could not be handled by the prisons authority.

previously reported that a high court of the Federal Capital Territory sentenced ex Governor Jolly Nyame to 14 years in prison without an option of fine.

Nyame was found guilty of 27 out of 41 counts of alleged diversion of public funds while he served as governor of Taraba state.

He was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly diverting N1.64 billion while he served as governor between 1999 to 2007.

R Kelly ’s former wife Andrea Kelly, in an exclusive interview with Inside Edition , says the singer allegedly abused her during their 10-year marriage.


According to Andrea, after they got married she was unable to leave their Chicago home without R Kelly’s permission and on some occasions when she failed to call him ‘daddy’ he would yell and physically assault her.

This wouldn’t be the first time allegations like this are brought against the musician.

Nigerians are embarking on a protest over killings in the country on Wednesday the 4th of July.

The group Enough is Enough Nigeria announced the protest, revealing that protesters will head to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) from the Unity Fountain, Abuja to protest the killings across the country.
