There are so many derogatory things Nigeria do or say but just because the literal meaning is not derogatory, they latch on to it to continue being stupid. The term "Omo Igbo" simple means "Igbo Child" but that's not what some people think about when they say it. There's a tone to it just like how NIgerians call Hausa people "Aboki".

That's my point..the tone and intention and also the context it which they make use of it is what matters

Same way they naturally call all rich muslim hausa,Alhaji and the poor muslim ones,mallam
