Thank you so much guys. Reading your messages kept me sane. it wasn't an easy journey.

After 36 workings days, almost two month later, UKVI misplacing my documents, telling me that they are sorry and that I should go and get a new passport, after calling and sending numerous emails, prayers and fasting, they eventually found the misplaced documents. Almighty God has done it for me. Finally my visa has come out. Please help me thank God.

When did you apply? Becos if u applied on the 3rd, I suggest u write to sheffield, cos the misplaced everyone's documents and passports that applied on the 3rd of July.

gbemmiey: Omg! tb test was booked for sept 1, Greenwich resumes sept 15. Still looking for a way to push the date backwards. Thats like 8 working days b4 sch resumes if i can submit on Wednesday. Is there anything i can do.

Another thing u can do, if u can afford it, is to go to Abuja and do the test, u get the result d same day and then u apply in abuja. Its faster all the way.

Because Ikeja is faster and more organized and because I applied since the 3rd of July at VI and was informed last week that they have no record of my application, so now i'm practically begging them to return my documents which seem to be missing and also because a lot of people who applied there since last month have still not received their passports, should I keep going or you want to just try your luck and apply in VI?

gmolen: Exactly what I intend doing because that is the exact situation I am in now. My passport is still with the SA embassy. Where did you do your TB test, Lagos or Abuja?

I did my test in Lagos.

spikesC: What did they say?

They showed me proof that it was delivered to sheffield and received, I saw the tracking and my ref. Number. So I asked them what happened. They said they're not sure, but will follow up and will have answers for me on Monday.
I feel so helpless...

I've gone there ooo. Was there most of Friday. Will go back there on Monday.

So guys I have a really serious issue and I don't know what to do. I applied on the 3rd and after waiting for over a month for my visa to come out, sheffield finally responded to my numerous mails, informing me that they have no record of me applying for visa. This is after I have submitted my application, paid, done my biometrics and my interview and for submitted my supporting documents and waiting for over a month. I am at loss at what to do because I feel like yelling at someone. I need some advice please. I submitted at vi (unfortunately)

I actually did mine without my passport because my passport was at the south African embassy. I just went with the data page of my passport and the collection slip for my passport collection to prove that I was being honest.

esosa4real: @3sha4lyf and @justwise, i have selected my appointment date for monday nextweek. However it just struck me now that my Bank statement shows up to july 24th, because i have delayed by a week.
DO you advise i update my Bank statement now? or its just fine?
Lastly, anybody submitted at this teleperformance @ VI lately? how long do they take?

Advice from someone who submitted since 3rd of July and still have not heard from them. Go and submit through Ikeja. Ikeja applications are processed in abuja, which makes them faster and the VI ones are taken to sheffield.

Just received a mail that my application has been approved and my visa issued about an hour ago... I'm just so happy because to be honest, I kinda had some doubts about the application thing which was the final hurdle in the journey to studying in the UK... Still can't believe it..

Next thing?. Sit down and chew chewingstick. See question sha. How about u do some research, try Google, or ur sch's website and better still, try reading from page one of this trend.

please i have been going through the threads carefully and wanna ask a few questions.

1. where best can i submit my application that i won't experience delay (ikeja, teleperfor.. or abuja)

2. is it important to state in the form, the additional information section, all i have been doing (like working) so as to show the time frame of when i graduated till now? And do i need to submit my employment documents, pay slip, tax returns and study leave alongside other documents to prove to the ECO of my return back to work after the masters program? cos i was adviced to add these documents because they want to see proof of wat u've been doing and ensure one returns back to home country

3. can i print my statement on exact 28day or shld i put in a day extra say money deposited on 10th July, start counting from 11th July, the 28days period ends 7th August, and i intend to apply and do d registration online on 8th August, and print statement 11th August. So i was hoping to inform the bank officials i need the statement from 10th July - 8th August (is this wise?), so just incase the ECO wants to count from 8th backwards, i get a total of 30days

4. i did my tb test in june even before i got my cas and somhow i put in a family member address in the uk. does this matters because som1 said i was suppose to put the address of the school.

I will only answer one question, the others can answer the rest. Make sure whatever u do, u do not make the mistake of applying through VI teleperformance. We are plenty that applied since early July and haven't heard anythn frm them. Try Ikeja or Abj.

spikesC: So, after 3weeks plus, i contacted ukvi themselves to ask for the status of my application, and they replied. An excerpt from the reply
