Drpak: it is nt necessary u get d LOI.....if u can get it fine, if u can't dnt worry urself u 'll be fine. D info on d LOI is the same as on ur trv, d yrs on my trv is different from d yrs on my LOI.......that was y I said it was helpful. I got mine on 23may also.....dnt worry u will get the work permit also. thank you

Kudanis: I submitted the required Canada Study visa application forms, Photocopy of my scholarship award letter, Original Int'l passport. Those were the documents I submitted. I didn't include any academic certificates.

Is there any documents I should added to these ones?

I fink u shd ve an account statemmt to back ur scholarship from ur sponsor or urself. Does ur skolarship cover full tuition plus other expenses?. No academic certificates? Dt shud b included. If ur going for an undergrad course den u shd ve ur waec or transcript n if ur goin for post grad u shud ve ur bsc cert. What hapend to birth certificate?

Drpak: Firstly, I thank God and every member of this house......u guys are really wonderful. My journey was fantastic despite d fact that I spent almost an hour with 5 CBSA agents on my case in toronto.......1). my visa was issued in may 22 so they were contemplating whether to issue a work permit or not......one woman sey make dem no give me. d orda say make den give me. They were talking about my issue for about 45mins I don dey scare self but as a naija breed noting do me naw. But at d end I was issued a work permit. 2) my passport is gonna expire very soon so I was told I can renew d passport in ottawa and apply for a extension for study permit at later date. @patdeka, the LOI is nt that important but in my case it was a lot useful. Amefrica wrong research. Find out again. N nt via what toefl states. Most schoops requirements esp for canada ask for IELTS. which in nigerians case dey always waive atleast most skools

Major reasons are....

Am not satisfy that you have sufficent and available Financial resources without working in canada:

... for the course of studies;
.
...to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during proposed period of study;....

... to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family member who are accompanying you to and from canada

... Your personal assets and financial status.

I think everything boil down on my acct statmt...( my bother.. Sponsor... Later called me this evening after hearing the embassy feedback that, he actually empty the acct for his busness after he gave me the acct statment.

N people wil tell u d embassy doesnt ask for ur financial details from d bank. Smh. Of cos its obvious dey do.
Funmi u can alwys reapply. Thats d way forward. N work on d account statement. More like u shd make sur whoeva ur sponsor is dsnt ve to withdraw al d money from d account aftr u tk ur statemnt. Yes he cud alwys withdraw at anytime. But not heavy withdrawals like dat or emptying d account. Let d person withdraw n also put in money into d account.
If u knw ur sponsor is a business person n cnt stick by such u cud try to get another fam member as sponsor n tlk to whoeva to jst b patient wif u till u get ur trv. Luckily now d time frame is shorter. Getin a gud account statement nt from ur parents is quite stressful no doubt. But jst pray for God to favor u wif a sponsor who can run his account tru d period of ur application. You cud stil build up ur bros account again (nt sure bout dat, bt im sure others wud contribute)
