2009 i was denied canadian study visa base on financial ground. The passport has expired nd hv been renewed.

I want to apply for trv now, do i need to state on my application that i hv previosly been denied visa or just apply as fresh applicant.

NOTE: during first application there was no biometrics.

Yes there are people with criminal record who still get a visa when background check is not done but at the end you will still pay the price when you least expected it.

Don't listen to people here telling you that Canadian embassy don't check, the chicken always come home to roast no matter how long it takes.

Slimdel: if they want to check an applicant critically other work load they have won't stop them from doing that, so is better u tell someone that the possibility of them knowing is high so the person will at least say the truth in his or her application than u giving them false hope

dont really know where to start from cos my case is now complicated but ur gud advice will help.
1, I am a prospective applicant through an agent
2, my program will cost like school fees $14, 000, egent $13, 000 for the admission and trv other sundery expenses not in cluded yet.
3, note: I didn't know this trend before I committed to the agent I came to knw about it after I have committed 6, 000 usd as advance.
4, admmision gotten from niagara college medical, biometric done but trv was denied cos of moving the embassy from lagos to Ghana effected his internal contact contact.
5, admmision now differed till September still pushing if he can breakthrough to trv.

this is where I need ur advise most.
1, Does canada worth this amount?
2, my brother advised me to join him in his business and develop the capital instead of going to another mans land to face unknown.
3, he is an impoter deals in trailer spare parts.
5, he said I should call the egent to withdraw the processing but the egent said he can only refund 50% of the total sum as he has spent a lot but that's not the issue.
The issue is this does canada worth this amount? or should I join him to develop the capital here as the business is moving well for him and he is always out of the country for importation.

Ur agency fee is obviosly outrageous. $13000 for an agent ? Thats over d board . Evn d most expensive agents which i thot was maples isnt up to half of dat. So my advice to u is yes withdraw d remaining 50%cos d agency fee is too high. 2)visa apps for online are stil procesed in lag(nt so sure cos i did ma app online too n nufin was snt to ghana or from ghana)3. Ur agent lied to u from ma opinion telin u dat any movement afectd anyfin. He/she cannot influence ur visa decision. So now cos u wer denied he found u a suitable excuse.4 no one can realy tel u if canada is worth anything or not. Its ur decision to make. I beliv evry1 om dis thread belivs canada is worth it hence deir reasons for d strugle. So dey cnt tel u to quit joinin ur brother b go to canada so dat if eventualy things dnt work out d wat u thot it shd u wouldnt ve any 1 to blame. So u can only pray n make ur decision on dat

buchi4med: Please don't go and waste your money. That $2000 can go along way in sustaining u in Canny. If you cannot do it yourself, u can meet BCIE for documentation and you will spend less than #50000.
If I where you , I will use the money for my transport to submit my documents and still have change. This forum is all you need.

Slimdel: SOP ke Conditional offer depends, for eg if the conditional offer is to pay a certain amount of money before unconditional letter will be issued then I doubt if u can use that for your visa, you are expected to pay the money and use the unconditional letter. Abeg sop no dey this matter abeg wetin u wan explain ni that u will borrow the money?

There are no reasons to b xplained evrything depends on d VO handling ur case. So lets stop d numerous assumptions. I dint evn submit an SOP cos I dint knw bout it til slimdel told me . N den i had submited ma application alrdy
I am nt saying people mst use conditional offers or people shudnt write SOP. evrything works differently for evry1 in as much as one shud try to do all d necessary things. Bt wer u cnt get an unconditional offer n ur laging behind time n u decide to use ur conditional offer doesnt mean ul b denied visa

Anyways where did you get the theory of conditional letter not being accepted by the VO, I guess it must be a new development because I also used Conditional letter for my Visa, and I got it.
I was required to submit my degree Certificate, and I wasn't ready to risk sending it to Canada, so what I did was to scan it and upload it to my profile when I was applying for my Visa.
So pls, where did you get your information? Or it is just a mere thought of yours.

Nope dats not true. I used my conditional letter for my visa application. N ma condition was to snd an officiap copy of my transcript Which I hadnt evn done as at d time I got ma visa

At POE I was asked for my address in Canny, intention in Canny, course of study, admission letter, proof of payment, etc. Then disclosure whether carrying booze, cigarette, edible material in luggage disclosure, to which I said no. I didn't later carry any food jare.
