A whole lot of crap is being said about Sickle Cell and I find it pretty disgusting. For starters,
I do hope u were able 2 make d choice to marry d woman u love irrespective of her genotype. Here
are some facts dat many people don't know about sicklers:

1. They are pretty intelligent. Many of dem have an above average IQ.
2. They live pretty normal lives: have lots of sex, fun, children and eVerything else 'normak'
people do. And 10nks to science etc dey can do much more.
(To mention a few of cause).

On d issue of seeing a sickler in a crises! Yes! It is painful, scary, horrible and of cause exaggerated
by people. From a certain age e.g. 20+ sicklers r able 2 understand what triggers off their crises
and avoid them -so dey live pretty healthy lives. On d other hand, should they fall into a crises,
there r specialist hospitals where they can get PROMPT medical care.

In response to d guy who talked abt spending ur salary on drugs, pls note d following:

1. A well managed sickler is relatively cheap to maintain
2. Who says she's going 2 b solely dependent on u 2 provide? After all, she has a job
So dat will help ease things - but a real man must be ready 2 provide for his woman.

By and large, life is short. Live and love while u still can.
