The second studio album by the American indie folk band The Lumineers is Cleopatra. The album was released on April 8, 2016 in the United States, and features the singles "Ophelia", "Cleopatra", "Angela" and "Sleep on the Floor".

The album got favorable reviews and commercial success, debuting on the UK Albums Chart and the Billboard 200 at number one. It is the band's last album to feature Neyla Pekarek, who left to pursue a solo career in October 2018.

Cleopatra sounds slight with 11 songs and clocking in at a brisk 35 minutes. Per song is less than four minutes, but the target is much more intense compared to The Lumineers' first record.

At the beginning of the song, percussion is most prominently featured. It's used less and less, beginning at the halfway stage, and the result is a soft deceleration. Conceptually, this makes a lot of sense, and you can see why it will be performed by a band, but it doesn't change the fact that the first half of the album is a lot more enjoyable.
