I'm not sure I get what your enquiry is about but I use between 20 to 80pips on my trades. But I'm mist comfortable with 33pips sl. Really depends on my risk appetite for a particular setup. Let's take this setup together:

Thanks for your mild reproach. I just got back from being on the road and saw many messages that would have made me feel like a total failure, come on! That's not fair guys, the trade made at least 1:1 and it's back at entry which I still believe would push the trade according to plan, but honestly these times are precarious. I wish I started here when prices were more predictable like in June.

UJ went as planned and Gbpusd went as planned. Got stopped out too early...so painful.

I presume this move was based on this guy's rubbish tweets and Britians election results being compiled. Don't blame me, I look through a lot to understand a lot more. I'm sure the IRS that wants to frustrate our Air Peace guy would also discover that trump has been unsettling the markets and doing insider trading. That guy would have made billions in his tenure. Jail is waiting for him quite soon, let him grt impeached soon so we can all be in peace abeg. Trump's tweets have been added to my indicators lately, a very strong one indeed.

Ok I know equities is not for everyone because you have to trade at least one lot, but it has moved almost 100pips since this call, no be 1000usd be that on the least required lot size? But of course it's a demo accant I'm wasting my time and yours on .

Now I need to explain something to the good people here, when I didnt have enough capital to trade equities, I still watched it day in day out to study its movement and its correlation to other pairs. Guess what? I can trade gold confidently because I've seen it's inversely correlated to equities/indices futures. When gold goes up, equities run down and conversely applies as well. I took this trade with confidence because I saw the drastic gold buy and indices did not move so i knew indices would run down soon and it did, hence my sell!
I still remember one gold mentor like that who said you can't trade gold with less than 200pips, yada yada yada, according to my soon to be friend
We would learn a lot together here I assure you, soon you'd forget I existed and see your trades going positive on the steady when you trade by yourself. Selah!

I chose to ignore you till this moment because with the messages I get daily I see there are people hungry to learn and I'm more than willing to guide them to unlearn from all the nonsense they have learnt over time. I was going through a desktop i used like 9years ago because I promised to share some learning materials with certain guys that were interested. But I couldn't send it to them, because after so many years down the line, I've reaised all of them were rubbish and non of those traders even exist anymore as I went through their Twitter pages. Almost 8k wasted on bloody audio traders who just made money from subscriptions. Mind you that amount was in USD.
If you are in Lagos I'd arrange a meeting with the then manager of the FX investments division of the standard chartered bank who I helped get some good bonuses on profits within the period I traded for them, funny enough he told his Oga it was some firm in India doing the trades, because somehow we don't appreciate our own that much. I had to stop because I almost got mad from being too under pressure to deliver at a certain rate.

You can make forex your monthly salary. This is the reason I aggressively took that gold sell, I don't use indicators per say to enter trades. I just use it to confirm my plans for a premeditated price level. So stochastics, RSI or volumes could just be enough, not packing your chats full with confusion. Look how the volume indicator showed that the quick up move was just a manipulation by a few, it wasn't the prevalent market sentiment.
Then it takes some very mighty cash to just break through those two trendlines like that especially on the daily. We will learn to see these things together. They wont work every single time but I assure you you'd make money in the end.

This is the highest form of conservative trading. You wont make that many trades but at least you have higher probability trades when the setup arises. I'm more of an aggressive trader. You're Doing a great job, very enlightening.

The best thing about losses is that they keep you in check.

So this trade went up to 60pips and hovering around 40pips profits now, my advice is if you have small accounts, learn how to close trades at the point 1:1 has been reached. That would help you build your capital till you can afford to hold for longer or take higher risks. That's why I try post of my trades that have less than 50pips sl even with gold!

Gold has one barrier to face at 1464 down before it can go to 1420, if you want a good RRR trade again buy at 1464 sl 1459 tp 1500!

Recovered the 40pips loss and many more profits. Risk reward ratio is a large part of my trade entry considerations. I'd take these profits if it's a small account [a new one I've started learning] or move to par. You can as well just take partial profits buy closing a bit of your lot size. These are various ways to manage your account especially if it's a small one.

Hope I'm able to answer this correctly.
It means, sell at this price (1.56579) and your Stop loss (SL) will be at 1.54980 while your Take profit (TP) will be at 1.57976.

Whether to do instant execution or a sell limit or stop depends on where price is at when you got the signal to sell.

If it was me, here is what I would do:

If price is within 3-5pips (max 10pips depending on how convinced I'm about the trade) above or below the sell price, I will do instant execution.

Price below by a bigger pips, limit order but if above the sell price by a bigger pip, stop order might be better because at that point, price might be on its's way to hit the stop loss.


***Just noticed the SL and TP number are wrong for a sell trade after @ Saxy4c pointed it out.

FOMC in 65mins, I'd need to get on the road soon, but just know that the force of the news would move your trade at a hyper speed to your al or tp. Selah!

EA has decided to obey the rules and has gone to a nice 80pips in profits from minus 8 pips yesterday.
Don't see a trade going in some negative pips then start calling every religious man to pray for you. Or get panicked to close the trade. Take risks that you won't sweat over, maximum 2% risk per trade. I try to look for the trades with the smallest SL ever possible. That way you can know your fate rather quickly. Trades need to breathe a bit atimes.

UsdCHF is drunk, I expected it to form a new low which we made massive profits of and the trade is closed now. The time has come for it to rise as it triggers my buy limit trade but it's still doing Daddy Showkey around entry. I'd keep holding as trade plan seems very valid till now.
