Dr Ayoade Alakija (nee Olatunbonsun) is in no way related to Modupe Alakija (Folorunsho's husband). There are lots of unrelated Alakija family all over the SW.
Summary: Dr Ayoade is just a clout chaser looking for twitter followers. |

Dpharisee: Very stupid explanation, as if Nigerians abhor leaving in luxury but loves living in old dilapidated rustic buildings. What you see there is a reflection of the economic situation of the country and not just Ibadan.
Dubai, Medina, Mecca and Rome are older than Ibadan and should have retained their thatched houses from the days of Prophet Muhammad to preserve the history of Islam and Christianity.
Some of those cities he mentioned in England cost the City Council so much annually to maintain the integrity of those structures for historical purposes and many are even unoccupied because of the cost of modernising them, how much does our state governments spend to maintain the rustic buildings across the country, all they do is bring up statistics that 4,5m people in Oyo or Enugu state still defecate in the open and lack access to portable water, where does these 4.5m people live, its in those old rustic buildings.
Reno should rest abeg, Tinubu has heard about his Ronuing activities but doesn't have space for more appointments in his cabinet Sound explanation by Reno actually. I schooled in the UK and lived in several old and rustic building. People still live in those houses built many years ago till date. One of the ones I lived in was probably 200 years old. |

happney65: Pence says abortion should be banned nationwide. States included sef. No abortion anywhere for America joo. . armyofone: Those people who really need to do it will buy flight tickets to Europe or Nigeria to do it joo. DissTroy: You are going off about nothing.
Abortion is conditionally legal in Nigeria. Teh caveat is what I have explained.
Of course if you seek to kill a child, you'd go to quacks.
But if you have medical cause, you can walk into any hospital in Nigeria with a doctor's report to get an abortion. You keep trying to digress from the original post I was replying to and taking my reply out of context. Please try and comprehend the post (armyofone) I was replying to. The discussion was not about pregnancy that could prove fatal to the mother but about having an abortion just because you don't want to keep the foetus or ready to raise a child. As per the bolded. Even the majority (if not all states) with the ban/restrictive abortion laws in the US allows that, Right? If a woman from Texas has an ectopic or any other life threatening pregnancy, why would she then need to fly to Nigeria for an abortion where medical health quality and service is PISS POOR? The procedure can be done in Texas. My point is that if the US were to ban abortion in all states as Pence suggested in happney's post, you can't just pick up a flight and head to Nigeria for an abortion just because you are avoiding a US ban, and do not want a child as assumed by armyofone. Hence, my post about abortion being ilegal in Nigeria (aside if the mother's life is at stake). If I know about the ilegality of abortion in Nigeria, then I definitely know or have read about the clause. The bolded is right there in the Al-Jazeera link I posted, but it's obvious you did not read it.

Let there be fund for other services such education on vasectomy and other clipping methods. Those places are too far away. They can just drive or fly to Canada to have it done. Abortion is ilegal in Nigeria. People always find a way though; hence, the rate of abortion back home is even higher than the USA. I agree that if the Republicans weren't blocking making it so hard for the unprivileged in raising kids, alot of people would rather keep their pregnancy than to lose it.

The DNC is already planning to make this their main campaign topic. That way gas can rise to 10$, supply chain can go bonkers But DNC and media will play this out to make people forget about the cost of living. You have TD bank, show us your access card, you can't. Because you can't download a card and print. Show us your online statement like I have done. Even an slowpoke has online banking access in developed countries
Confirmed lying offspring of a thousand fathers and a LovePeddler mother. Show us your American passport , you cant because you are a wretched youth corper from Ondo serving in Ilorin hustling used Chinese phone and electronics on Nairaland Why wasting time with that guy using 2 user names to reply. Why bother? It's obvious he is in Nigeria. You posted a TD online account and even an online card, and out of the 100s of banks in America, he claimed to have TD too. And likely quickly downloaded a random statement from the internet, and printed it which;hence, no date and very unclear image. - He did not even know TD existed till you showed a screenshot with TD. - Then he googled TD bank Canada till you pointed out that TD US existed too. - He further showed lack of knowledge which is unusual for an American by not knowing the difference between LOC and loans. And finally the icing on the cake, no passport to back up his American claim. Hahahaha |

nihilistjnr: Chicago drillers shooting themselves is still rational - they know themselves and they are usually competing in the drug trade or have personal beef.
That's not the same as a guy waking up one morning and going to shoot up his local primary school.
The level of danger posed to the general public in both scenarios is not remotely comparable. The ilegal guns used by gangsters and criminals in Chicago flows in from neighbouring states with lax gun laws. Those guns were once legal guns. If those states mostly conservatives, tighten gun laws, Chicago would see a reduction in gun crimes. Majority of Guns Used in Chicago Crimes Come From Outside Illinois: Report:https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/national-international/chicago-gun-trace-report-2017/27140/ |
