Days after the United States alleged widespread killings of Christians in Nigeria and issued a warning of possible intervention, not a single sponsor or perpetrator of these heinous crimes has been apprehended — even under the Tinubu-led administration. Rather than decisive action, what the public continues to hear are denials and dismissals, suggesting the possibility of a deep-state cover-up or a coordinated conspiracy to shield those responsible. As a Christian, how do feel about the killing of Christians in Nigeria? In what ways can the government be held to become more accountable, and honest? Is the awareness of these crimes not enough? Can we have real change and security of lives and properties? |
when people like this oba that threatened to sink a whole ethnic group into the Atlantic Ocean hold position of authority, expect nothing but lies, conspiracy and self interest. Ezeama400: |
Good observation. Unfortunately, many global leaders do not care about the lives of christians. Even the united states under democrats undermined the rights of christians. But trump is different. He is not ur usual politicians. He is a bold christians who speaks his truth. And because of him, world leaders are beginning to acknowledge the rights of christians. But for how long? what happens when trump leaves the office? Racoon: |
They are the people who covered up these atrocities because of personal profit Heffalump: |
Osiris12:They are the sponsors of the genocide. |
Unfortunately, his government continues to deny these allegations in spite of compelling evidence. It is also on record that this same Tinubu admitted to the killing of christians during goodluck's govt. What a jerk. Ironfaceman: |
I am not advocating allocation of 300 marks to the affected students. sUCH demands are not appropriate.

|
You do have a point. But the truth is that the affected students have be wronged. The emotional and psychological trauma they faced has to be recognised. If you ever wrote jamb, then you should relate. Again, how about the cost incurred for the jamb by the students: financial cost, time and effort. So, does it make sense to ask these students to pay to resit the exam? Does it even make sense for Jamb to contemplate asking these students to pay to resit?. Jamb should make amend and that amend has to come at a cost to Jamb. Crying on National Tv is rubbish. Bluntemperor: |

it is true that the OP may not have enough money. However, can u prove the the Mother inlaw and/or the wife has more than him that will make him loose custody of his kids? Anyways, i do agree that the OP needs to take some break, strategize and approach this issue with caution. Sharpsharp00123: |
you have a point but it doesnt work like that. Loook at the cement industry for instance where there are no importation, yet the local players have refused to reduce the price of cement. Dont you realise that cement price will reduce one importation starts? Dangote, who is a major player and producer of cement have refused to reduce price; and he is amassing so much profit at our detriment and the economy. Take another look at agriculture where govt has invested so much incentives to farmers, yet prices of food stuff have refused to come down because govt has refused to open the border for importation. Note that Importation is an economic tool to bridge demand gap in the country; which will help to reduce prices of goods and services. There is nothing wrong with importation. it only needs to be controlled so it doesnt destroy the economy. I understand that NNPC and the importers have been the problem. Fortunately, subsidy has been removed and local refineries are coming up. Unfortunately, another problem is brewing; and that is Dangote. Do u realise that the reason he is reducing the price of petrol is because of fuel importers who are his strong competitors? Obviously you didnt think so. Let me guess, you think dangote so much loves you that he would reduce the petrol price. Hahaha. Wake up. Take a look at the cement industry, why hasnt he reduced the price? Dangote's ultimate plan is to drive out his competitor, and become the price giver/maker. Dangote is currently the price taker. Price is been dictated by market forces which is a function of many players (especially the importers) Dont pray for dangote to win; and dont pray for the importers either. Rather let both players exists and see how price of petrol will reduce further zoedew: |
who told you that local refineries are cheaper that importing fuel? Or didnt you hear that landing cost of petrol is now cheaper that Dangote's petrol? Price is being dictated by market forces which is a function of many players (especially the importers) Dont pray for dangote to win; and dont pray for the importers either. Get it right brother by taking a cursory look at the agric sector and cement. In the cement sector, after many years of border closure, prices of cement have jacked up even though dollar rate has reduced recently. Did u ever ask youself why? Why is the prices not going down? Take a look at the agric sector when govt closed the border and provided lots of incentives to farmers, yet prices of foodstuff have still not reduced? Did you ask yourself why? Now look at the petro; sector where we have local players (refineries) and fuel importation, and the prices of petrol is reducing. Can you decipher anything from this? Let me help. It appears that importation is a very effective tool to reduce local prices of goods and services. This means that if border is opened for cement and agriculture, prices of good and services will reduce which will be beneficial for the economy. This is because if there is no importation local players will sabotage the economy like you see in agriculture and cement. So the goal should not be to outrightly stop importation. Rather to control/reduce importation. Its a simple economics. HisXLNC1: |
Exactly. Dangote want to replicate the cement scenario in the petroleum sector. Nobody should ppray for him to succeed. The truth is that petrol is be lower that what it currently is. Price of petrolum will come down further is this competition is sustained. As a matter of fact i think fuel importation should continue. This will force other local refineries to reduce their prices. Take for instance the cement sector where prices have soard cos of no importation. Take a look at agriculture where prices of food stuff have soard cos border has been closed. This tell you that importation is a very effective tool to reduce local prices of goods and services and to checkmate our local enterpreneurs

|
Govt is not paying subsidy to importers anymore. The truth is that importers have been scamming the nation for so long and for so much; hence the removal of subsidy by Tinubu. However, dangote has come on board so the market dynamics have changed for the importers. So they have no choice than to reduce the price and stop all the lies otherwise nobody will buy their fuel. Dangote is also a ruthless business man who is unable to sell his product cos of fuel importation. As a result of importers, dangote is forced to reduce his price so that he can have demand. This is the essence of price the price war. The greatest mistake is to think that Dangote or the importers are your friends. Never. No one of them is fighting for your interest but their business empire. The goal of dangote is to stop fuel importers (which are his competitors) so that he can control the market and increase the price like he did to cement. The goal of the importers is to frustrate dangote refinery and return us to the days of fuel subsidy. Again, dangote and the importance are fighting for their personal business empire not nigeria. Belleful: |
My God. How can someone be this daft. Dont you understand the concept of deregulation and free market? Cant you see the importance of fuel importation? Cant you see that because of fuel importation, dangote has been reducing the price of petroleum? Dont you see that Dangote is a ruthless business man? And that if not for importers, Dangote would be selling fuel for 1500 and be lying to us? Jesus christ, where do you keep your brain. Just so you know, dangote and importers are both ruthless people. Nobody cares about you, dalass: |

do u understand what u saying. why should importation end? I DONT GET U. You seen clearly how fuel importers are forcing dangote to reduce fuel yet you say that importation should be stopped? Na wa for u o. look at the price of cement. Do you know that if the borders where opened prices would have gone down? also look at what our farmes and other agribusiness actors are doing. they increased prices because border was closed. dipoley2k: |
why are u comparing saudi currency and nigeria naira? are both economies the same? na wa o Obaaderemi2: |
Bro i dont understand your point. I dont know how dangote is a Nationalist. Pls explain EXOUSIAng: |
i think you are missing something and your opinion is a bit illogical. No offence. Do you realise that the reason why Dangote is reducing the price of petrol is because of competition from importers? In otherwords, if Tinubu was working for the Dangote, why cant he just stop fuel importation since this importers are already spoiling business for Dangote. Dangote is as bad as the importers. They are all greedy business men who want to extort the masses with inflated price EXOUSIAng: |
Dangote is a greedy capitalist. However, i think importation of fuel should not be stopped even when other refineries come to play. Look at the case of agriculture, where our farmers and other actors increased prices just because border was closed. BrightFuture48: |
