Please what Courier service can i use to get a document from Munich Germany �� to Katisna Nigeria �� I am about applying for my tourist visa to �� Germany but i need to receive the original declaration of commitment from the person inviting me over for a visit any advice would be much appreciated.

You can use DHL express. I am in Berlin and I used DHL Express to send some documents to Nigeria on Friday, the Person got it on Monday Evening. It's almost 100 euro but fast and reliable. You can track your Parcel.
The Person inviting you should also send an original signed copy of letter of Invite.

Please I have some questions. Does German Embassy observe Muslim Public Holidays? My Mum has an Appointment on 12 July and I am not sure if there is a Public Holiday on that day. If there is, will the German embassy will be opened, what will happen to the appoinment if there is an Holiday?

Update: I sent an email to the embassy and they replied that they will be opened on the 12th.

The original documents and letter of invite must be sent down.. they give 90 days. A close friend of mine mum got 90 days.

Just have all the required documents

Also the reason she is going would matter. My friends mum was going to carry her new grand child.. omugwo

Thank you. I want my Mum to come for Omugwo too although I'm confused if I should write that in the Invitation letter and attach my Maternity card copy to it or not.

Hello Everyone, For those that were invited to Germany on Family visit, Is the "Verpflichtungeklarung" and Letter of Invite the original copy or can I send a scanned copy from Germany through email, so that my Mum can print and take to the embassy or do I have to send the original?
Also, Should I reduce the number of days to 60 instead of 90 days because I heard that the Nigerian-German embassy do not usually give 90 days.
P.S: My Mum is retired.

Please, after filling the videx form do we still need to fill the application form again?
