Now even if you’re to import the higher standardized Canadian coke, you’ll be selling it for over 2000 naira per bottle here in Nigeria . So now the average salary in Canada after tax deductions is about 4k CAD. An individual’s groceries for a month can go between 150, 200 CAD to 500 CAD, depending on individual preference or choice factors. See the shot below for rough idea. Now what’s the average salary in Nigeria? How many people live below that bracket or above it? It’s useless trying to defend a defenseless cause. On the southern fringe of the Sahara, a vast expanse of parched and unforgiving land is almost impossible to cultivate and ravaged by Islamist insurgencies. Today, the combined population of all three states is about 70 million, a total that is forecast to exceed 140 million by 2050. The demography of the states of the Sahel – as the southern edge of the Sahara is known – leads the way for Africa as a whole. Whereas the overall population of Europe is falling and that of North and South America – and even Asia – is now stabilising, Africa has the fastest rate of growth in the world. As recently as 1960, the population of the entire continent was only 283 million – not much more than the 230 million who today live in Nigeria alone. Since then, Africa’s population has multiplied fivefold to reach 1.5 billion. The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa predicts that the continent will add another 950 million people by 2050, bringing its total population to 2.5 billion. In the next quarter century, about half of the world’s population growth will be concentrated in just eight countries, of which five are in Africa: Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo. rinzaugustine:The best things you can achieve now is survival skills. Learn how to build a drone from scratch. Learn basic electronics. Work on robotic projects if possible. Check up OpenCV libraries on OCR and night vision and clone projects if possible. Your first point of call is being able to set up and operate a surveillance system in real-time, made of 4 to 6 drones (at least 1 fixed wing UAV and 3 or more copters). You can’t achieve this alone. You’ll need a team of like minds. You wanna be forearmed in case the chips eventually go down someday, when insurgents’ airplanes start flying over major cities. You don’t want to be taken unawares. The Nigerian airspace is one of the most vulnerable in the world. Anything that sees insurgents increasing their knowledge base, skill set or sophistication levels will put the NA in a very difficult position. One day the water seller’s pumping machine developed serious issue and he went to meet the water giver and pleaded with him to extend his kindness to him as well. The water giver agreed and delivered water to his household via a hose. This continued for several weeks. One day I checked in to find both men in hot exchange of words. The water giver was so upset that the water seller was still selling to others despite the fact that he was getting it for free. I can never forget that incident. The water giver kept asking and reiterating “why do we like feeding fat from people’s disabilities?” Very few Nigerians are different. We mostly look like our leaders. We’re the same with our politicians. Made of the same stuff. The difference is scale and position. If given the same privileges most of us will do far worse. The whites are not our problem. They saw we already have a problem. They’ve only strategized ways to gain from that problem. That problem is our mindset. Truth is, if you worship Obi Cubana, Davido, Otedola, Dangote because of their money, you’ll definitely steal when you’re privileged to access public funds.
