It's the same basis for Kolmani oil field in which the drilled wells are all located in Bauchi, but the reservoir straddles the boundary of Bauchi and Gombe States, and thus the communities in both States are in line to share revenue upon development of the oil field.

All these are because with the possibility of deviated wells, one can situate wellheads in a location and tap into reservoirs beneath another location, thereby shortchanging them.
