PHRANTAD: I have an account with Skye bank, which indeed is my salary account, thats the account that i was talking about that i could have used but i dont want to go through the stress of looking for means of proving the funds that entered it at this point(loans, my monthly salaries, donations and savings from my business) Do you have any other one at all? |

PHRANTAD: Thanks all d bosses( school drop out, emiflex, anniekoko, dahobestboss, hakeembee, et al) for your candid advices in the course of my app. My Uncle that wants to sponsor me has all the documents needed for a business owner to sponsor his cousin using his company, he is ready and willing to give me all the originals(he has actually given me some on FRIDAY; business transactions for d last six months(invoices and receipts), sponsorship letter written by him using the company's' letter head paper, introduction letter from his bank, his statement of account for six months) I just opened a new first bank account, because my other bank account is my salary account and there is no way i could get payslip to proof the funds entering into it, cus we are on strike in my state and moreso i am going for undergraduate studies. What remains now is tax clearance certificate, balance sheet and profit and loss statement, and his CAC certificate of incorporation of the company, and he would give me all those tomorrow morning. I got admitted for undergraduate study at CENTRIA UAS. Now my questions are these: 1.We dont bear the same surname, cus he is my maternal uncle, hope there would not be much ado about that at d embassy?
2. Hope this new account i opened would not raise any red flag?
3.Which of all the documents above would i upload in addition to my admission letter ?
4. I already started filling my application online but i stopped at d upload documents stage just to be sure
5. I am using d online application route, would i still send my documents by courier to the embassy two weeks before my interview date (July 12 is my interview date) If yes which documents would i send to the embassy .
I am sure of the following:
School certificate, result checker, passport photo(how do i get a photographer that would be able to get me d dimension on polisi website,47mm by 36mm passport), my intl passport, original admission letter from my sch, email sent by d embassy, ole opi app form, accompany email from d school dt sent admission letter. What else my bosses? 1. Eno matter. You fit do affidavit too sha but not necessary. Just make sure he explains your relationship with him in his letter of sponsorship. 2. It shouldn't. Just ensure you get a cogent reason for using a new account. If you have any other account even with an unrecommended bank with little or no activities, you could add and explain you didn't make use of it cos it's not recommended. 3. You'll upload all the original documents you'll be sending to the embassy two weeks prior to your interview. 4. Okay. Good! 5. You can deduce from answer above. (3.). Yeah, you have to send all the original documents you'll be utilising two weeks upfront, even, if you're treading the online route. 6. Just the normal passport photograph with white background. Send three alongside your originals, albeit, one should be returned to you. 7. Lastly, include your filled ole_opi form and make two sets photocopies of all your documents. You'll have to take then along when going for your interview. Don't hesitate to ask further questions. Best of luck! |

Cmanforall: You might still get the chance to get that, since SCHOOLDROPOUT is not accepting it. Check what their reason for rejecting you is. Get confirmation that SCHOOLDROPOUT is not taking that spot... You can move from there.
But try know their reason for rejection initially. You can mail them openly for this other option. (Do not mention names) I don already accept Helsinki, i should reject others soon |

I have another question tho, I understand some banks are accredited, while others are not for the purpose of RP...Please can anyone kindly tell me the accredited banks or a link where I can get the detailed info. RECOMMENDED BANKS FOR STUDENTS NIGERIA Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) Zenith Bank PLC First Bank of Nigeria PLC Access Bank PLC Skye Bank |

One euro now 295 naira (€1=295NGN). The implication of this is, 6,720 X 295= 1,982,400(~2m NGN) will now be required for RP.
Make una apply charpaly if you never apply. Things are changing dramatically!

Are jobs still possible to get in Helsinki without Finnish language? Okay bro. Heading to Helsinki too. Part-time jobs shouldn't be so difficult to get as Helsinki is the capital |

weirdarkhitekt: Hey guys,
I still need some clarifications on finances. If 1.55m in a naija bank account gets me RP. When I get to Suomi the only way to access it is via atm and online banking. Atm withdrawals is at the market rate which is predicted to be about 380 to 400, which we hope to settle to 300 soon. This effectively reduces the €6720 to less than €5000. Can one survive in Helsinki (where rents alone is almost €400) on about €400/mo.
Please I need some further explanations, I'm hoping it's my research that is lacking in some way Well, as a naija guy, you should be able to, according to the veterans. You just have to find ways to cut cost. Are you headed for Uni Helsinki? |
Travel › Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by SCHOOLDROPOUT(m): 10:36pm On Jun 19, 2016 |
olagold79: Honestly, I wouldn't advice anyone to study in Finland for that exorbitant amount...it is pointless. Trust me I know the place really well, I have been there a couple of times n I have peeps there a lot. You'd do well to go to Australia or Canada(Canada is by far the most advisable). You can get jobs, but it is not as easy as it used to be...but it is stll much possible. The major problem is the language barrier (they don't joke with their language even for cleaning jobs) and also EU economy is quite bad at the moment. Tampere, Turku , Helsinki are the best places to get a job...anywhere outside that is OYO. If anyone have that much money for Tuition....just go to Canada!!!!.And Finns speak very good english,so it is difficult to get English customer support job as you'd get in say for example Tallinn.
But if you are not paying tuition, that's cool...make as much money as you can n go to an anglo-phone country. The standard in Finland i recognised so you can easily get well funded PhD in Canada or elsewhere. Best of luck everyone. On point! You no lie! |
