whirlwind7: Building with red bricks, or combining them with conventional blocks is something i have always wanted. Here's a picture i got from a thread on Nairaland. They give a cool and unique appearance to houses. If actually they are cheaper than conventional bricks, i wonder why they have not gained a wider acceptance in Nigeria.
I need someone to help with a local clay bricks seller in Ibadan for a project.

spyder880: There has been 3 members from the list that sent a mail to the project mail address who had accepted their nominations to be part of the committee of 5. They are;

1. Sagewood
2. Rastaman20
3. fuzzyt

I will also like to serve in this committee so I am the fourth person. Meanwhile the other name mentioned that are part of the listed members have not come forward to accept his nomination, maybe because of time zones and their work schedule. The person awaited to accept his membership to the committee of 5 is Prince-onx.

We are getting somewhere.
What is this committee constituted for?

Muyesky: In doing the proper estimate of a building, certain things aree always overlooked but when you sum them together, they tend to matter a lot financially.
Schnapps: I actually bought some for the land owners for prayers while working.

Ojagba: aka wood binder, that's what is used to bind the roofing wood to the building itself for tightness and firmness. Every house carries it.

Family: some unaccounted for money spent or given to the land owners, u really cannot escape things like this once in a while. Its all for the greater good.

I hope this answers your questions?
Yes thanks. I was thinking of Ojagba as "Snatching". Like Area Boys fees or something.

I guess Ojaagba would do.

mufutau55: Good advise at that. Metal doors inside is like prison.. we are already inprisoned with those iron window guards and entrance/exit metal doors.. If the security in Nigeria is still as good as when I was living in Nigeria, we shouldn't even be needing all those prison guards and doors. Good advise Muyesky.

Mufutau
You have to be kidding me. What security?
