Many women understand but will be scared to agree because of fear of backlash or insults. Other women will come out to argue out of ignorance and sentimentality, leave those ones, after they marry finish then they start supporting the household with their own money because of oga is poor along with only them doing childbearing/rearing, cooking, housekeeping etc while also being told to be the submissive and inferior partner in spite of all they are doing na that time they go understand wetin you dey talk.

Of course guys can never agree with what you are saying.

Love in itself is an illusion of the mind...it should be an icing not the basis....after all u can fall in love with a murderer....there are way more important things to consider that love....and Financial capability is a major one..

Oshe11....if all you got from my post was that woman should marry solely for money...then i am amazed at your level of comprehension....

Now that you are even on it ....who made the law that Marriage should be for Love? Even the founder God didn't......He created eve from Adam and gave her to him as wife and commanded them to procreate and fill the face of the earth..did he find out if Adam loved her? Did Adam see or relate with Eve before then?....Throughout the Bible, we saw how marriages where done....it was never based on love.....Moving down to early years....all over the world ...marriage was never about love....in fact in Europe it used to be like a business deal.....major consideration used to be value of dowry involved......But one thing to note was that marriages lasted back then......the idea of marrying for love is new school idea.....and with the evolution of the love idea, marriages started crashing faster.....why? Because you chose based on Emotions....emotion will and never be a good basis to make decisions because it clouds your sense of judgment.

Biblically, the basis for marrying should be one that is also a believer....any other secondary reason is acceptable....it is after the wedding, God commands that Husbands should love their wives, while wives should submit to their husbands...have u ever asked yourself why God never instructed women to love their husbands? Because....a woman has the capacity to return love if you shower her with love and care.....

Now just to give you clarity...my point was never that people should marry for money....my point is that you decide not to marry for money does not guarantee you a good man......whether a man is poor or rich...the probability he would cheat on you or be egoistic and want to be in total control is 90%....what will even annoy you more is when a man that doesn't even have enough to take care of the family is still capable of cheating on you or spending money on frivolities...

So if it has been established that crisis is a given in marriages......money or not....y not ensure financial capability is a must. At least when the crisis start you wont deal with it in hardship .....


Now for those that are saying a woman should be independent....oh yes...however...if you are financially independent and get married to one that is not .....then u can be assured whatever you have will become insufficient over time....

If after this you dont get my school of thought...u never will.....so we can rest it...

See, you need to understand that people marry for different reasons....no one reason .....emphasis on "NO ONE' is right or wrong. Those decide to marry for money, those that decide to marry for love.....those that decide to marry for child bearing or those that even marry for status aare all within their rights to do so and should not be judged as right or wrong...

It is easy for u to label marrying for money as wrong but think about it ...what makes it wrong? critical thinking.....nothing makes it wrong...
