Thanks a lot for the information, actual is not my Surname is one of my two other names, a friend told me I have to go to court and swear affidavit, Maybe that's what am going to do, the names are perfect on my passport and other important docs, just on the Waec result, and if affidavit from court is enough to back it up that will be better..
mavinc4u:

It will affect you any where unless the person checking is not seeing clearly. Difference in surname means 2 different people. Keep the one that is correct and go and correct the one that is wrong to tally. If is your Waec that is wrong; lucky you but if is your passport; money must drop oh since they are complaining of having insufficient passport. Start working on correcting the error now.

Waec correction - Waec office
Passport - immigration office Abuja, don't know if they have started correcting it in other states. There is a thread for that on travel section, can't find it at the moment.

Hello guys,

Have been trying to gather my docs for the next admission then I discover the last name on my Waec does not tally with the one on my passport, funny right?

On my Waec result I had Olalekan but on my Passport is Olamilekan,

Please will this affects me in any way while applying for admission or it won't,
But if it will, how can I correct this..

Please kindly advise..

Thanks.

Boss 10k Euros alone for Tuition? That's heavy,..I will take my time and do some research on Germany and Norway, hopefully they won't have Entrance exam drama,..2m for block account won't be a problem,..

Thanks a lot for the information, are you in Finland ?

Dubai is presently hot lol,..but Oluwa is fully involved.

SCHOOLDROPOUT:

You're welcome bro but hope you know you will be paying between €10,000-25,000 for tuition alone?
why not channel that into another country, preferably Germany or Norway which still offers tuition-free education, all you need to do is deposit €8,040 and 100,200 NOK respectively in a block account for whichever you choose. I'm sure they've got reasonable wages too

Thanks for your response to my post, I live in Dubai,..but I don't think they do hold any of the entrances in the Middle East, and if I want to come to Africa for the entrance ,..i will need to apply for a vacation/leave, and if am eventually selected(got the admission) that means I will need to go back to Naija again for the visa that means another leave, which they won't be granting at my work place and aside that I will have to spend a lot on tickets (2way for Entrance) another (when going for visa)
Only if it doesn't take long to get admission notification after the entrance then I can wait in Naija and apply for the visa without the need to go back and wait for admission letter.

Tuition fees is not a problem, I was considering Estonia, but they pay less compare to Finland (PT jobs),.

At least 1one can take care of some necessary responsibilities back home in Naija..

SCHOOLDROPOUT:

Where are you? You could be close to a venue. I think a program in Aalto requires just your WAEC and SAT. Read through aril's posts. She got admitted into the program last year. You should however, be aware that tuition will be charged henceforward.

Well, I just don't want to jump in and start asking dumb questions lol,.. have actually visited the site and I saw the available courses,..they are affordable,..I will call someone in Nigeria to do the documents run around for me (OWO nio je), and I will do Ielts or Toefl here,..
Better to start preparing myself before admission starts.

yoyolagos:

Thanks for the information,..I have been roaming around topics on NL trying to find a much more easier way to gain admission into any shengen zone school,..but one way or the other its complicated for me because I can't leave my job here and start roaming for documents to send to schools,..but after going through this topic I chose estonia,..i will surely apply this December or next year as all admissions are presently close,..and for me I won't need to go India or Egypt for the visa as am a residence here in UAE and Estonia do have an Embassy here,..
tobzzy:
you will get the admission before you pay the tuition fee but for some schools you have to pay the tuition fee before your admission letter will be sent to you e.g Tallinn University.. while the other will send you the admission letter but you will sign contract with them on how you decide to pay and when to pay e.g university of Tartu, IT College.. I stand to be corrected

Hi guys,

I presently live and work in Dubai, but I would like to apply for a Bachelor degree program in any Estonia institution, I have read all the posts from A-Z and have gained a lot from what I read, I did my research and I found that they have one course for free (integrated Engineering) but most of other courses are paid,..what I don't understand is if I apply for a course it doesn't matter if it's paid, do I have to pay for the tuition before getting the admission? , because I haven't noticed anybody mention how they paid or when they will pay for tuition,
I will really appreciate it if any of the gurus can shed light on this for me,..

Much love and more blessing..
