Anoda tin is dat I tot 9ja sim card won't work on AT&T phones except d phone has been modified but when I check my device status it shows 'Official'
I'll appreciate if u can help me wit d best custom ROM cos I'm planning to flash custom ROM after d rooting + which recovery is beta btw TWRP & CMW

As for me during my note 2 days i actually flashed a custom TouchWiz based ROM(ditto Note 3 ROM) i recommend this if u don't have any issues wif TouchWiz. I guess dia latest build should be based on Note 4. Search for dia thread on XDA forum using Google.
I think TWRP recovery is the best (my opinion sha).

@abiolag this is for you! Using the app SQLite Editor by Speed Software you can use these quick steps to enable tethering.
1) Under SQLite Editor find the app "Settings Storage (com.android.prodivers.settings)"
2) Hit "settings.db"
3) Hit "system"
4) Search for the term "tether" in all fields
5) Set the vale of "tether_entitlement_check_state" to 0 6) Enjoy your ability to set up a mobile hotspot!
DISCLAIMER: The steps worked for my LG G2 AT&T on stock 4.4.2 ROM, can't say dsame for your Note 2.
Just give it a try.

@abiolag @nani667 concerning the hotspot issue on the AT&T branded Note 2, it can actually be enabled provided the phone is rooted. Download an app called SQlite editor, try searching on google concerning d issue, make sure u include SQlite and ur phones model in the search query something like this "samsung+galaxy+note+2+AT&T+hotspot+sqlite+editing" something should surely come up.
The whole thing just involves editing a paticular string. If u can find a useful page it should be straight forward.

Guys if u have problem rooting ur fone try "Towelroot" Itz a one-click root app for people who are finding it hard to use the Odin-PC way. Though I can't ascertain itz effectiveness on all phones.
