Vacancy Job Title: Land Surveyor Location: Abuja Our client is an estate development company, a subsidiary of Setraco International Holding, the foreign partners of Setraco Nigeria Ltd, one of the five leading civil engineering construction firms in Nigeria with project experience of over 30 years. Overview of the position Oversee a variety of professional assignments to facilitate the completion of roads, building sites, recreational areas or bridges; and the completion of legal descriptions for the taking and marking of right-of-way Determine methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed Coordinate findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with project. Requirements Experienced Land Surveyor registered with the professional body of land surveyor At least 12 years of general land surveying experience; of which 5 years were as head of land surveying team A B.Sc degree is required with a major in surveying Knowledge of the principles and practices of land surveying Knowledgeable in land surveying, infrastructure, building drawing reading & drafting standards including solid knowledge of physical quantity surveying for building & infrastructure work Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without close oversight. Excellent computer skills including expertise in land surveying & modeling software (AutoCAD, Terra Model, Civil Designer, Autodesk Land, Eagle point, Leica Geo office and Microsoft office) Good organisation skills & capability to lead a team independently. Ability to undertake several roles simultaneously (field survey, coordination & quantity survey). Vacancy JOB LOCATION: Economic Development Center - Warri , Nigeria Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) is a foundation established to provide support for socio-economic development programmes in the Niger Delta. The foundation will be funding programmes in partnership with other donors from the public and private sector, seeking to create a dynamic, multi-stakeholder partnership that takes full advantage of synergies involving diverse organisations and interests. The Economic Development Center (EDC) will generate opportunities for sustainable and equitable economic development in the Niger Delta. The foundation is seeking for a qualified candidate to fill the position below; Chief Security Officer Responsibilities a. Lead operational risk management activities and assessment b. Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with foundation strategic plan c. Manage the development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. Physical protection responsibilities will include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance and more. d. Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities, personnel and information systems. e. Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies f. Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary g. Environmental scanning on threat, determine level of risk and apply security phases. h. Interfacing with security departments in other organisations i. Manage security escorts to support the needs of the center j. Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security measures k. Create, maintain and improve safety in the center. 2 Educational Qualification A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any relevant field. A Masters degree in a relevant field is an added advantage. Knowledge, skill and experience Comprehensive knowledge of institutional security programs including their planning, implementation, and control. Comprehensive knowledge of general law enforcement methods and procedures dealing with individuals and groups. Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and nontechnical staff. Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment and act quickly and responsibly in an emergency situation. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other agency personnel, law enforcement agencies, and the general public. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Consensus-builder, while still results-oriented and commitment focused Experience with risk analysis and contingency planning Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security. 10 – 12 years progressive experience working in a security department / organisation / agency.
