Nigeria is Blessed with an abundance of Human and Natural Resources but as a young man growing up in Benin City i was only aware or should i say concerned about our sporting talent...Soccer is my sport of choice

Nwankwo Kanu and JJ Okocha my favorites but Finidi George, Tijani Babangida [/b]and [b]Victor Ikpeba made a huge impression on me because i enjoyed watching them play for big european clubs in Important competitions week in week out.

Its sad to see that Nigerian Soccer players are not making as much of an impression on the world stage as i have become accustomed to

the purpose of this thread is for us to evaluate the peformances of our brothers in various leagus across Europe and the world

Currently John Obi Mikel is (in my opinion) the only Nigerian player who is relevant to his team in the sense that he is guaranteed a spot in the starting 11 week in week out - I believe or should i say i am hopeful that Victor Moses can make the same sort of impact as Mikel but quicker .....I AM OVERJOYED FOR mIKEL THAT HE IS FINALLY LIVING UP TO EXPECTATIONS i hope more Nigerian players become relevant for various clubs as this will only help us become a better footballing nation

I have become very annoyed with a lot of the foolishness coming out of Nigeria and its not as if i didn't grow up knowing what to expect from my country, i just believed that we would at least be able to carry ourselves with dignity when we are outside our shores, So the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa , Canada has not issued out any new passport to Nigerians living in Canada for over two years now,,2 freaking years, so what exactly are they doing there?
first the passport making machine broke down, OK then second they ordered a new machine but cant get anyone to hook it up, then third they said oh we can do nothing till the elections in Nigeria is over, now for those who do not understand the consequence of this let me explain, i for one missed out on very important events both in Nigeria and other parts pf the world because my passport application is with the embassy and even after paying over 1thousand dollars am not even sure if they still have my application , its been over 2years since i applied, alot of Nigerians with missing passports cant get any Government issued id over here let alone travel, then there are those that are waiting for Canadian papers that cant get it because they cant get new Nigerian passports, its a bigggg shame for a country like Nigeria to have an embassy in Canada that is basically just occupying space and doing nothing, come to work at 10 go to break at 11 come back at 12 close at 1, just wonderful, if any of you know anyone that can effect any change please contact them because i am tired of making excuses for my country to Canadian Immigration.
