odumchi: The proper and modern spelling is 'Igbo'. 'Ibo' is the antiquated anglicized spelling. 'Ibo' was replaced by 'Igbo' as the modern and correct spelling in the early 70s.

odumchi: It's not so anymore. In contemporary English it's spelled as 'Igbo'.

looking through nairaland, i see alot of people refer to us ibos as igbos, well when i was in secondary school, while reading the bottled leopard book in a literature class, i noticed that the author used the word ibo instead of igbo, thinking it was a typographical error, i asked my teacher and he replied "ibo is the tribe, igbo is the language"

i have since confirmed it through several other people and write ups, but when you check nairaland threads, you see ibo people referring to themselves as igbos.

But, i am still not quite sure which is which, i wont mind at all if we ibos/igbos on nairaland get to trash this out asap.

Chikason - multiple investments from vegetable oil, noodles, to even motorcycle assemblage.
Innoson - Popularly known for his auto-mobile assembling plant.
Obi Jackson - Oil and Gas
Peter Obi - Learnt he owns one of the highest shares in Fidelity bank, if not the highest.
Arthur Eze - Oil and Gas
Ibeto - Cement, and Oil and Gas
Nnamdi Chime - Sullivan Chime's first Son
Tonimas Oil and Gas; Tonimas Engine Oil(from Anambra though his investments are majorly in Aba)
Chisco - Transport
Ifeanyi Uba - Capital Oil
Andy Uba - invesments in oil and gas as well as some other sectors i know nothing about
Orji Uzor Kalu - Airline in east africa, and some other businesses
Chris Uba - Friend of Government
Emeka Ofor - Friend of Government
Ezenwenyi Obinna - Massive investor in Media and publishing

PS: by Friend of Government, i mean loads of government contracts and/or favour.

We can arguably say that the Richest Yoruba man is Michael Adenuga, excluding Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (You know why i am excluding him nah, or don't you?). In the same vein we can also say that the Richest Hausa Man is Aliko Dangote, excluding (Mariam Abacha and/or Gen Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda (RTD), you also know why they are been excluded, abi?)

But then who is the Richest Ibo man in your own opinion,

Emeka Ofor's Cousin, who happens to be a friend of mine, who in fact is the reason i am starting up this thread. The Guy, Edu, believes his cousin Emeka Ofor is the richest Ibo Man on God's Green Planet. Well, if you are an Ibo man, then your guess is as good as mine, I don't agree with him!
