The brix level of the watermelon was very high. It tasted like sugar itself

The weight of each tomato ranges from 100, 150 and 200 grams. An average of 140 grams per fruit.
The fruits are also very very firm. This gives the fruits a longer shelf life.

We're sorry for not updating this post. However, we've harvested and done our fields day at Bokkos LGA of Plateau state. We demonstrated Jarrah RZ F1 tomato and Columbia RZ F1 watermelon varieties. The peppers are still coming up, the weather condition here and the soil texture affected their growth

We had an average of 90 tomato fruits per plant. The average fruit weight per plant was 5.3 kg. We would have gotten up to 8 kg if we had allowed all the fruits ripen before scaling them. Most of the fruits were not fully matured before we uprooted the plants for measurement,

The watermelon fruits had an average weight of 4.6 kg despite the hard and stony soil texture and extreme cold condition. If grown in a soil with good texture, we can boost of 5kg and above. The demo farm done in Jos gave an average of 5kg fruits.

Yes. Gamhar RZ F1 is for the rainy season. It's best one sow in March. It all depends on the location.

93 watermelon seeds germinated and some are still emerging. We noticed some spots on the leaves which may be due to phytotoxicity.

Hello.
It been 1 week and 3 days after germination. Some of the seeds emerged at day 3, some at day 4 and day 5.

So far, 93 seeds have germinated.

It turns out I have planted your seed. My first attempt was many months ago using plastic container and they did come up and I transplanted but was not very attentive. Presently 2 plants fruiting (still green) survived and are receiving better care now.

Seeing the green fruit on these 'survivors' motivated me to prepare a well tilled bed and plant more ... With a light cover of short dry grass..just two days ago and more yesterday.

Please guide me and I am keenly following this thread now. Have I erred by planting directly? Also I don't know anything of trellising . I would also like to purchase more seeds pls expect my call and some pics tomorrow.
