The autistic son of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the founder of Omega Power Ministry has finally tied the knot with a lady barely one week after his father pledged incentives worth millions of naira, including yearly holidays abroad for his son and any woman who agrees to be his wife.

The OPM founder had openly called for a healthy’ woman willing to marry Aboy, promising them ₦10m, a house, yearly overseas vacation, and the sum of ₦20m after 10 years ‘if he is still alive.’

The groom was dumped by his biological parents at the gate of the OPM founder when they discovered he autistic state, after they noticed he failed to act like a normal child as he struggled to feed, brush his teeth, bathe, or feed himself.

The couple were wedded on Sunday with church members donating millions of naira as members celebrated with the new couple, barely 48 hours after the OPM founder came under attack for looking for a bride for his autistic son.

Some women berated the OPM founder for making a video wherein he used money to entice ladies to accept his son as a husband when there are millions of normal single men that are still searching for wives.

In reaction to their complaint, the
cleric on Saturday apologized to all the ladies who watched the video, saying that he did not have the intention degrade any woman.

He said the public post was to primarily identify a woman willing to live with and support the man long-term, and that, “making it public was the best way for people to understand the situation and offer help.”

“If my comments were seen as degrading, I apologize openly. I am very, very sorry.”

“I have more than 500 children who have been left at my gate over the years. Some have disabilities, including autism. I cannot abandon them, and this young man is no exception.” ,” he said.

“I was trying to find a sustainable solution to ensure he is cared for properly, The idea of seeking a partner was intended to provide companionship and support, not to degrade women. I never intended it to be interpreted that way,” ,” he said.

“This young man, like the others, has access to education, medical care, and a caregiver. The intention was always to help him have a better life,” he said.

Shortly after the wedding, the OPM founder, posted on his social media:” Aboy Chibuzor got married today, 29th March 2026! Surprisingly, for the first time since Aboy attained adulthood, he fed himself without assistance at the wedding,

“Already, miracles have started to happen. Aboy is now feeding himself, without assistance. And I strongly believe that before the next 6 months, God will completely heal him, and he will begin to speak.

“There is nothing that God cannot do!”

This One Really Shock Me

I recently bought a Toyota Corolla 2005 model, Nigerian used. Since then I've had this constant problem of hard starting. It's not very bad though, it picks after second or third kick, although in some cases it could be worse prompting my battery to run down.

I have explained the issue to about 4 mechanics, each of them telling me what they suspected could be the cause, I paid them and at the end of the day, nothing changed. I've spent over 300k on this very issue.

The only option I'm considering now is that of the latest mechanic that told me it could be fuel pump system pressure or electrical fault or both. I'm just afraid of spending money again because I'm already afraid it may not work.
So NL family, have your car ever had this "spiritual hard starting" problem? And how did u get out of it?

No fewer than 11 persons have been confirmed dead after a massive tree fell on two commercial vehicles at the Awhum Village Market Square in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the incident, which occurred at about 8:45 pm on Tuesday, involved a Toyota Hiace bus and a Sienna minivan.

Confirming the incident in a statement on Wednesday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, said the victims were passengers who had boarded the vehicles from Old Park, Enugu, and were heading to various villages within the Awhum/Okpatu axis.

According to the police, the vehicles had stopped at the market square to drop off some passengers when the tree collapsed on them.

The statement read in part, “Preliminary findings indicate that the vehicles had stopped to drop off passengers when the tree, weakened by heavy rainfall, strong winds, and apparent internal decay, collapsed on them.

“Upon receiving the report, operatives attached to 9th Mile Division swiftly responded and, with the assistance of community members, rescued four persons trapped in the vehicles and secured the scene.

“Regrettably, the eleven other victims were rushed to the hospital but were later confirmed dead by attending doctors. Their remains have been deposited in the mortuary for further necessary procedures.”

The Commissioner of Police, Mamman Giwa, while commiserating with the families of the deceased and the Awhum community, described the event as a tragic and unfortunate occurrence.

He further issued a safety advisory to community leaders and residents across the state to be proactive in environmental maintenance.

“The CP advises community leaders and residents across the state to regularly inspect and maintain large or ageing trees around markets, motor parks, schools, and residential areas, particularly during the rainy season, to prevent similar tragedies,” the statement added.

As of the time this report was filed, PUNCH Metro learnt that the four rescued survivors are receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.

A 27-Year-Old Woman, Identified as Esther Akwaji, has reportedly collapsed and died under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased was reported to have died while eating at her boyfriend’s residence in Dei-Dei, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

According to SaharaReporters, the deceased’s boyfriend fled shortly after her death, while his identity has also not yet been established.

Sources claimed that Esther, who was a resident of Nasarawa State, had travelled to the FCT to visit family members.

On January 21, she reportedly left her family home, claiming she was heading to a bank in Dei-Dei, but never returned.

Hours later, family members were said to have received a phone call from a man who identified himself as Esther’s boyfriend, using her mobile phone.

According to the source, the man informed the family that Esther had visited him and that he had purchased food for them to eat.

The boyfriend allegedly stated that while they were eating, Esther suddenly began vomiting. He claimed he rushed her to Kubwa General Hospital, where doctors confirmed that she was dead on arrival.

However, the man reportedly fled the hospital shortly after the doctors pronounced her dead and has remained unreachable since the incident.

Meanwhile, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, while confirming the incident told SaharaReporters that the Command had commenced a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Esther’s death.

“The corpse has been deposited for autopsy to determine the actual cause of death, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect,” Adeh said.

UNIPORT Student Sentenced To Death For Murder Of His Girlfriend

A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has convicted and sentenced a 400-level Petrochemical Engineering student of the University of Port Harcourt, Damian Okoligwe, to death by hanging for the murder of his girlfriend, Justina Otuene, a 300-level Biochemistry student at the same institution.

Okoligwe, now 26, was found guilty of killing Justina in October 2023 at his residence.

Delivering judgment on Friday, Justice Chiwen Nsirim Nwosu held that the prosecution, led by Charles Obediah-Mbaba, proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and established that Okoligwe committed the crime. The court further ruled that Justina’s death resulted directly from his actions.

Okoligwe was arrested in 2023 after neighbours raised the alarm over his attempt to dispose of Justina’s body, which he allegedly killed for money ritual purposes. A neighbour had earlier reported a foul odour emanating from his room to the Ozuoba Police Division. Responding officers forced the door open and discovered a Ghana-must-go bag containing Justina Otuene’s dismembered body.

The murder trial commenced in May 2024, two months after the Rivers State Government took over the case. It had initially been before a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt, but in November 2023, Chief Magistrate Nnenda Obiageri Onugbum ordered that the case file be transferred to the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP, for legal advice.

During an interview with journalists in 2023 at the Rivers State Police Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt, Okoligwe denied the allegations. He claimed he had been ill when Justina visited and said he found her lifeless when he woke up. Okoligwe further alleged that he went to his brother’s house for treatment and returned three days later to dispose of her body. He also denied removing any organs, insisting her remains were intact.

Speaking after the judgment, prosecuting counsel Obediah Charles Mbaba praised the court for ensuring justice, saying, “Justice has not only been done, but seen and felt to be done, in respect to the gruesome murder of Justina Otuene.

“Justina was the only daughter of her parents, but was gruesomely murdered by Damian Okoligwe in circumstances suggestive of ritual intention. Today the court has pronounced him guilty of the murder of Justina Otuene.

“We only hope and believe that with this judgement, the souls of Justina can now have a peaceful repose.”

He added, “I also believe that this judgement will serve as a deterrent to youths who believe that short cut in life is the only means to get rich as quickly as possible.

“This judgement will be a pointer and a lesson to the youths to work hard and abide by the laws of the land.”

Osat-Awaji Otuene, elder brother of the late Justina, said the judgment was well-deserved and brings some comfort to the family.

“I feel good, I feel calm about the whole situation. It was a very detailed judgement, very well structured. I really want to commend the judge, Justice Nsirim.

“Everything was well coordinated in court today. So, I’m really glad that we had the correct and the right judgement for the case.”

He added, “It’s a relief, and it’s certain that my sister didn’t just die for nothing. So, the judgement has been given and the judgement was deserved. Of course it is a relief to the family.”

Meanwhile, the defence lawyer declined to comment.
