I'm think of giving it a shot. I want to enroll there from next year ,or come October of this year. In hopes that I'll transition into the Navy in future. I'm going to be 25 this year, so will my age be an issue in being considered for admission?
I stay in the north Sha. But I come from Akwa ibom since one of my parents (my mum) is from there.
You said man must know man before one can get admission? Hmm. Nawa.
Ok, but my paternal uncle (also from Akwa Ibom) is a major General in the Army currently. Shey he fit help influence things abi?Thanks I'm advance. Also, how are their academic sessions structured ? Like 1st semester and so on. And tuition cost for new intakes.

Hmmmm interesting one. Ok, for me, if the world was ending in 24 hrs time,I will just get my house in order by praying with my loved ones. While doing so, I will tell myself and them not to be afraid that God said "nothing will seperate us from His love for us. Not angels, not demons, not apocalyptic events, nothing! Then I will call friends and tell them to ask God for the forgiveness of their sins(we are already saved by our faith in Christ. So what we need at that 11th hour is to pray and repent wholesomely)
Then after our prayers must have been concluded, I will tell family members to cook together and share our last meal as we await Jesus' second coming. That's what I think we should do. No one should be afraid of leaving this world that is full of misery and pain. Well,that's if we knew the world will end in 24 hrs to come.

So for how long will the seat of COAS remain vacant? Who has an idea? Hmmm, I might sound selfish, but I think the president should consider other senior ranking generals from the South East or South-south as replacement. Let's also feel the seat small. My uncle from my paternal side I was told has the requirements for the post... although, he was in the 37 course infantry, while Late Attahiru was in 35th . I think Buratai was also 35 or 36 course infantry. But I doubt this cabals will let a southern man fill the gap where their nothern brother left abruptly. Before u know it now, these people will retire them(these major generals and Lt. Generals) compulsorily. But they're not even near the age of 60. Abeg make my uncle smell the seat... If them no fit give south easterner, then they should bring it to our side for neutrality sake.

Manual* you meant to type. And I agree totally with what you've advised men and women up there. It's better to stay single that deceive your partner. Don't cause trauma and grief for an innocent unsuspecting spouse who is on the other hand trying to honour his/her own marriage vow. It's wickeness and selfishness, and proves love does not exist in their lives. When we refused to bow to God's commands concerning marriage fidelity, these are the sort of tragic stories that become rampant in our society. I can't joke with marriage when the time comes. Ilamina, hi....Yes, I also agree with all you said about Loyola being in a class of its own back then! None other could compare with it, especially in terms of prestige and "geniuses" levels.
Don't mind all those people here countering your statement. They just don't know about Loyola or they felt the schools they attended back in the days were inferior. They know the facts jare.
I attended an American school at some point in Abuja, yet, the school couldn't give us that feeling that those kids in Loyola Jesuit College were having. We heard tales about their school , that's to tell you how their game had spread about.
Then a few years later I left and attended a new school. We still had people who knew about Loyola and it's legacy. We spoke about them when we came together in class to just gist and chat about schools in Abuja. Then one day, there was a drama and theater Club excursion that our school was invited to at Loyola.
OMG! You needed to see how pupils were jostling and begging to be included in the list of those who would go to the much talked about Loyola Jesuit College. Guess what? Lol,I used my influence in my class (we were in primary six then) and I got some girls to add my name to the list. I wasn't even in drama club, but I didn't want to miss that trip for the world! Then we went to their school a few days later, so elated, we all were. We met many other schools there with school coaster buses scattered all about the compound. It was like a carnival scene. That was my first time of ever seeing the school called Loyola in all its beauty. The ornaments and building structures were just beautiful back then. I took a tour , although not covering much of the vicinity due to time and the instructions of our teacher to stay close to the bus, not wandering off.
We saw and spoke to few of these students whom we used to hold in high esteems. We saw them as brainiacs , and highly intelligent students. One of the boys who was a Loyola student took I and a friend sight-seeing and bragged a bit about how good their school was. He also told us old tales about witches /madam koi koi kind of story taking place on the school grounds. I was supri. It was fun though. Then it was time to say goodbye to them. We left for school feeling a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the opportunity to see the famous LOYOLA.
LOL, you can imagine the gist we were preparing to go and share with other pupils who didn't come for the excursion trip. All this was like I'm the year 2003/2004 academic year. Have never seen the place again since then . I even forgot about it. Your post gave me feelings of nostalgia and fond memories.
Even a whole Gifted Secondary School in Jos had respect for Loyola Abuja. They couldn't compare their school with Loyola.
