[quote author=Ngwakwe]Fresh N1.5bn fraud rocks House of Reps •EFCC quizzes NASS officials By: ADE ALADE Date: Sat, 06/16/2012 - 20:31 Even as the dust raised by the alleged $3 million bribery scandal in the House of Representatives is yet to settle, another storm is already raging in the lower chamber of the National Assembly, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun investigation into an alleged strange massive cash withdrawals running into N1.5 billion from. If all these happened since 2010 and EFCC just get to know about it in 2012 it mean something is happening to our system. 1. What happened to the instructions at the banks that once an individual withdrew more than N1m and corporate N3m, the bank should inform the EFCC. Were the EFCC not informed? 2. EFCC was ill-equipped, because if not, EFCC don't need to wait endlessly for information from banks/financial institution b4 they know what is going on. Technology has improve to the extent that system of both CBN, EFCC, POLICE and other related government agencies fighting corruption can be merged to that of the banks in other to see/alert as it happens. 3. The banks/staff that doesn't obey the rules too must be punished, because they encourage Nigerians to corrupt. nerodenero: A thief can only know a thief.Thief calling thief thief.Lets appropriate Obj for what he has done and stop calling him names. If all of us can open up corruption issues we heard/known, and our gov will listen then fight it with all seriousness, Nigeria will be better for it. Thank you sir and continue exposing them for you to see heaven |
zangiff: locally made warship,am scared ohh, they make mistakes using the foreign one not to talk of locally made onesyou're a bad Nigerian. Always appropriate your government where the need arise |
Buhari, Babangida and Atiku are too old to rule Nigeria again, we don't need them instead they should go and governed their homes and families. When they were running here and there to rule Nigeria by force, when are they going to have time for their families |
Pity for him because i voted for him to be my president. All i know is God that put him there will see him through |
May his sin be forgiving and rest in peace. |
omar22: Its a very good ideawhy talking like this. Commend Fashola for what he is doing not condemnation and mind you the time lagosian started using it they will pray for him even after leaving office. Condemned those gov that stole your money |
Almaiga: The civil servants are responsible for the politicians corruption. When a polician is elected or appointed. The civil servants (parmsec, directors e.t.c.) teach the newly elected or appointed politician how to loot becouse he is a j.j.c in his new office. And they'll both share the looted funds. A politian can never loot without help from a civil servant.. So, what's the duty of efcc, icpc and other corruption agencies in exposing what you've mentioned? And how can Nigerians assist them? |
domack99: Civil servert follow by the masses, then our culture. How do you mean? Can you please explain further |
To fight corruption is a task that must be done by all, this is one of his tactics after he has failed with the useless court injunction. There is no sin anywhere in the world for police to question somebody over any issue directly to him. The so called supporter should be marked and secret investigation carried out on their bank account. Part of the money might be linked to some of them |
With the trend of thing now, it is very clear that politicians can not embezzle money without the help of our so call civil servants |
All these so call church universities should always consider their church members children first and not just building or having a universities and the members would not be able to attend it because of exorbitant school fee |
Nigerians, we need to love our neighbours as ourselves. When the policemen are on the collection money from the public transporter they keep on increasing their fair in other to include the policemen shares which we really understand them because sometimes from Lagos to Ibadan we count more than 12 (twelve) road blocks collecting N50 each. And now that the policemen are no more on our road thanks to the IG, cost of transport need to be reduce because once they do every other person will follow, till today market women will told you its what they bought they were selling and more over cost of transporting their goods to final point is too much. |
On what aspect? On what aspect? |
90% of All these so call judges and lawyers are now POLITICIAN, its either belong to the ruling or opposition party and will like to satisfy them rather than God. There end will come soon in Jesus name because they've sold judgements |
I love this. If all Nigerian's or let me say the whole world take life as easy as this then there would'nd be all this bad characters/attitude among us, everybody would be contented with what they have. God bless the wedding |
From my own point of view i thing unionism in Nigeria as been hijacked by politician or its been personalized and its the masses that surfer for it. Any little thing they're going on strike can you imaging Nigerian lecturer going on strike because they like to work till 70 years of age before retirement. What is our education going to gain from this, when do they want to enjoy all they worked for and where is the lecturing job for the interested graduates when they sit down put. Pls in everything we do Nigeria should come first. God bless Nigeria |
Saw some police men standing along the road yesterday on lagos/ibadan on my way going to ibadan and the place fall to ogun state command before d bridge. Though they didn't block the road but am sure they will soon. The ORDER is patrol the highway with your van and where they need to stop anybody use your PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM in their van used to embarrass the masses like 'leave the road', can be used like ' car number ... Please stop for checking' and if he refuse to stop, stop it as a trained police officers because that is why you were employed and earned salary. I've travel like 10 times to different places after our police IG's order; our roads are SAFE, FREE AND FASTER. God bless the IG, PRESIDENT AND NIGERIANS in general. |
Minister for Transport and Min for Works. Because of the progress on railway nationwide Federal road as not been good as this, keep it up and finish the ijebu ode/benin road in time |
If American president can drive his daughter to school, go to supermarket all by himself then who is Nigerian governors. BRF keep it up; show our other leaders good example to follow |
