Romance / She doesn't like you if she brings friends on a first date by sEGXY2(m): 9:29am On Jun 12, 2019
If you invite a girl on a first date and she brings a friend or group of friends to the date I think it's a big indicator she doesn't really like you. To be very honest the rationale behind bringing friends along is to drain your finances because in her mind she sees you as a spendthrift. A love/sex-struck puppy she can rip some bucks off.

When the attraction is mutual, a girl wouldn't want to share your attention by bringing a friend along except when the venue is your crib and she is yet to trust you.

This is the plain truth.

Literature / How I Became A Beggar At Ikeja Courtsey Of First Bank by sEGXY2(m): 6:45am On Jun 05, 2019
I became a beggar at Ikeja courtesy of first bank
Yesterday was a day I will not forget in a hurry. I
literally became a beggar. If you encountered a well
dressed man with a purple nylon bag around traffic
light ogba axis begging for tfare yesterday it means
we've probably met.

Here's how it happened.

I had to go obtain a personal need at ICM and upon
getting there I discovered the price of the item I
wanted to get was slightly more than I budgeted for.
The only way I could still purchase the item is to
remove out of my transport fare back to Ikorodu. No
qualms I thought, I still had a meagre sum Of 1k in
my account and it would be enough to transport me
back to Ikorodu. So I proceeded to purchase the
item at ICM then with the remainder of the cash with
me, i went to drop another item with a client in
Ogba. While coming back I decided to use First
bank ATM machine to withdraw the last 1k in my
account and start heading to home (Ikorodu).

I inserted my ATM card into the machine then
followed the regular procedure, it got to when the
machine was to dispense cash, it kept reading
transaction in progress, while this was happening i
had received a debit alert, up until the machine
ejected the card few minutes later, no cash was
dispensed.

That was how I got stranded at Ogba.
For the first ten minutes I was clueless as to what to
do next. I mailed my bank (First bank) informing
them of the situation at hand. 30 minutes later, no
reply.

Fifty minutes later i was still there waiting for first
bank to refund my stolen 1k. Some more minutes I
realized what I was waiting for was like waiting for
Ighalo to net a goal.

That was how I turned a beggar with all my fine
swag. How I eventually got home is a tale for
another day. First bank go blow last last ni.

Literature / How Loom landed me in Doom by sEGXY2(m): 9:47pm On May 15, 2019
"Cash out now. DM me how"

"2k for 20k"

"People already cashing out. what are you still
waiting for?"

All the above phrases seemed to be the trending
whatsapp status about a few weeks back. One thing
I know about money and Nigerians is that if any
venture pays so much, it won't be on anybody's
WhatsApp status. A lot of people will probably not
even know about it until it has stopped cashing out.
That's what I'm certain about.

However when almost everyone on my WhatsApp
kept posting about it, it spurred curiosity in me.
"This must be the next big thing" I thought to
myself.Upon further enquiry, I learnt loom's
payment unlike Ponzi schemes does not take much
time and are 100% guaranteed. It sounded like
exactly what I was looking for at that moment
considering the fact that I've been looking for ways
to multiply my streams of income. This must be
what Robert Kiyosaki was saying in his book when
he advised that you use money to work for money.
My special adviser on loom investment advised I
invest a huge sum of money into the scheme and
receive times ten of my investment before many
people jump into it. He almost coerced me into
borrowing money just so that I'll invest in his loom.
Greed got the better part of me and my plan was to
invest the entirety of my salary in the scheme so
that my cashout would be massive.

The end of the month was drawing closer at each
passing day and it somehow seemed like forever.
While I waited, my imaginations ran wild with what I
would do with the dividend of my about-to-be
investment.

The dividend totaled 200k. In my small mind, that
200k seemed like a million bucks.
The next morning a neighbor offended me slightly
and I told myself when I get my 200k, I'm moving to
Lekki phase one so I won't have to deal with idiotic
neighbors like that.

Shuttling keke and Danforth now seemed like a
death sentence. For someone that would be worth
200k in a few days, I should do better. So my mind
said. That was how I started hailing Uber with my
little savings. Afterall when I get my 200k I will
repay in multiple folds.

Distances my broke ass used to walk or chart
Danfo to were now sorted with almighty Uber. In my
mind I was eventually starting to live the lifestyle I
used to dream about except that I don't have a
mansion in banana island yet.

Meanwhile my special adviser on loom investment
kept attacking my phone ceaselessly with
uncountable calls and messages asking for when
my investment would be ready. One would think I
held his destiny hostage, with the way he was
disturbing my line.

A smart person would've known something was not
right but silly me I just wanted to cash out 200k
where I didn't sow.

Finally the payday arrived. I was the first person to
knock at my bosses door to subtly remind him that
its the month end already. He feigned ignorance at
my subtle reminder but I didn't care. I was sure he
perfectly understood where I was getting at.
Towards d end of the day I received my salary, with
joy in my heart and smile on my lips i transferred
everything to the loom guy who was a trusted
friend. I called him to verify if he has seen the alert,
he replied in the affirmative and further stated that
my dividend should be ready in 24 hrs. Once again
my heart leaped for joy.

My confidence skyrocketed. Nothing can compare to
the confidence money brings, not even drugs. I
walked with swagger throughout the day. I even
smiled to strangers while I headed home that
evening.

My doom tales began 24hrs later. At first, loom
guy's number was not going through. Roles
changed quickly. I began calling his line like he
held the key to my life. At first I thought perhaps
maybe it was the network then I called him with
another of my line and it went through this time
around. Upon discovering I was the one, he aborted
the call instantly. At that moment I realized instantly
that I had been swindled. I tried all I could to
recover my funds but it was all in vain as all I ended
up with were failed promises and people calling me
a fool to my face.

The leftover of my savings would barely carry me
through the two next days plus we were just
entering into a new month. The next month was not
child's play. It was pure hunger. People were
stunned by how I magically transformed from Rick
Ross to Wiz Khalifa without a surgery.
If I hadn't been so foolish I would've avoided all these
however my foolishness is outstanding although I
learnt my lesson but it was painful shaa.

Science/Technology / Nigeria Might Not Just Be Ready For Cloud Gaming Yet by sEGXY2(m): 4:05pm On Mar 27, 2019
As seen on http://loudthoughts.com.ng/topic.php?id=88

Some few days ago Google introduced its cloud gaming service christened Google stadia. This seems to be the future of gaming worldwide big gaming brands had earlier launched their own cloud gaming services. Microsoft with Xcloud and Sony with Onlive.

It didnt come as a surprise to many as Africa was excluded from the list of the beneficiaries of this beautiful innovative. I'll be listing 2 reasons why Nigeria is not ready for cloud gaming.

1) Expensive Data
Data in advanced parts of the world is as cheap as pure water. Heck, in some places its almost free. You can get the unlimited data package for as low as $50 in USA on T-Mobile. An equivalent of N15k. N20k would only get you 50gb of data. A gigabyte of data in Nigeria costs more than a thousand naira on mtn network. Streaming video/music services is a waste of data for many. They'd rather download or collect from friends through xender. Now tell me how such persons would expend data on cloud gaming which consumes more than triple of what music/video services consume.

2) Snailspeed network
Need I remind you that our 4G network is not half efficient as it ought to be. The world average speed is 23mb while that of Nigeria is 11mb. Network providers in Nigeria are lagging behind seriously. A 4k cloud game requires a minimum of 100mb/s to run smoothly. The best we can get in Nigeria is 11mb/s, although some games on onlive can perform alright at 3mb/s. It's still below par.

Sadly we just have to stick to hardware gaming and sees what will happen with 5G in Nigeria.

Celebrities / Lesson From Billionaire Sperm Donor Episode! by sEGXY2(m): 6:14pm On Dec 15, 2018
There's been several reactions trailing Linda Ikeji's recent revelation of her relationship with her billionaire baby daddy, Jeremi and how she supposedly "fell" pregnant for him.

Linda Ikeji over the last few decades has set herself as an example of what a modern African woman should be;Ambitious, successful, determined, independent, hardworking and morally upright.

All these are a few of the many good adjectives, anybody would employ in describing her persona. However, her revelations triggers a subliminal evaluation of if she's really what she portrayed herself to be.

For someone who severally bullied baby mamas, preached against sex outside of marriage and sex with married men only to end up as baby mama to a married man who doesn't even want her. It's appalling.

This episode once again reminds me why social media is really a facade and should be taken seriously at one's peril. It's all branded packaging. This is a reminder to hit the ignore button anytime someone makes you feel unworthy or on SM owing to one reason or the other. They just might be doing worse in their bedroom.

Romance / Things You Can Do With Your Partner That Does Not Involve Spending Money by sEGXY2(m): 1:27am On Dec 04, 2018
These days there's much emphasis on being financially capable before delving into a relationship with a lady because money matters a lot but you don't have to necessarily break the bank before you and bae can have fun. LoudThoughts brings you ideas of things you can do that does not involve spending of money and still be romantic. worthwhile isn't it?
1) pray
2)sing romantic songs together
3)Play computer games
4) Cook for her or together
5)Clean the house
6)cuddle up and watch a movie
7) Read a book eg the bible
If she's not comfortable doing these with you maybe she isn't worth it after all!! one ticket things!!!
