Talking points from Olamide’s latest interview – When pictures hit the internet showing Olamide and his son rocking matching hair styles, most were shocked that he could dye the hair of a one-year-old – But before you label him an irresponsible father, hear what Baddo had to say – He said dyeing his son’s hair was deliberate .Lot of people have wondered why popular musician Olamide decided to dye the hair of his one-year-old son Batifeori Maximiliano Adedeji. Most feel the boy is too young for such eccentricities. But baddo recently gave a reason for it. Speaking to Moet Abebe of Soundcity Radio, he said: “Dyeing my son’s hair was deliberate. We are just jumping on this twinning trend. I’m doing my best to raise my son in the right way. I try as much as I can to spend time with him and make sure I’m part of his day to day growth.” He also went on to reveal that he and his protege Lil Kesh are still on good terms even though he is no longer signed to the label. Asked what he wants to be remembered for, the YBNL CEO said he wants to be remembered as “a symbol of hope for the streets.” https://www.naij.com/1064638-dyeing-sons-hair-deliberate-olamide.html

Good evening to everyone, especially Nigerian Americans. They need it most. Happy elections. Don't think I'm crazy for greeting you happy elections, in Nigeria we greet people about everything. You have to get used to this now because you are coming back home. So, Eku election. I very much understand that you will soon be sent packing from there, so I have taken it upon myself to prepare you for the transition. You have just a little time left there, utilize that time to learn more about Nigeria that you are coming back to. In Nigeria, we don't have light. Buy power bank while coming. Don't say I didn't tell you. Buy power Bank from there because the ones here are just like your marriages, they don't last. Buy a quality one from the abroad when coming. Also, make sure you charge your phone full before coming here. You should also save money for generator. Buy rechargeable lamps and plenty torchlight too. Also, save enough money for subscription. There is no free WiFi here. For those of you that will be settling in Lokoja, Jidenna and Co, I'll advice you to buy a glo line. Their network is strong. Save enough money for emergency transport. You will be deported to Nigeria and by the time you get to the airport, you will need to board a keke from the airport to the badagry refugee centre, from where your ancestors had been shipped to America before. Fuel don cost, transport don increase. Do you eat moi moi? Learn it. In Nigeria you cannot sit down and order pizza anytime you want. The only order you can make is when you yell to the moi moi seller across the road to bring hot moi moi for you. Learn proper home training. In Nigeria the only time the police will arrest your parents for hitting you is after you are dead already. And they will later settle the case as "a family affair". If you think you can come here to speak 'innit' for your parents, it's the neighbours that will help them beat you. Are you a graduate? Doesn't matter. There is no job. Your American accent will not give you a job, except your father knows someone who knows another person that knows a politician, you won't have a job. Dear American Lover Boy, Nnewi girl will not go Dutch with you. As a matter of fact, no Naija girl will go Dutch with you. You have to prove your masculinity by paying for the date. No one is splitting the bills with you when you take a girl on a date. When you bruise with a stranger in the market, PLEASE CHECK IF YOUR PENIS IS STILL INTACT. Learn the Nigerian names of common products. No one will sell "sausage rolls" for you. If you can't call it the Nigerian name- "Gala", no one would have time for you. Noodles is "Indomie". Pasta is "spaghetti". All seasoning is "maggi". Dear American girl, you cannot dress anyhow you like. Your neighbours will eye you. The random old woman in the market will hiss at you. The random lady in the bus will preach to you. The area boys will jeer you. You might want to report "harassment" to the police, they will arrest you for indecent dressing. Dear lovers, in Nigeria we don't show public display of affection. You cannot be kissing your boyfriend under the rain. The old woman passing by will invoke thunder to strike the both of you. These are some of the basic tips to help you adapt after you have been deported..

*The Naked Truth of Life* There was a man with four wives. He loved his fourth wife the most and took great care of her and gave her the best. He also loved his third wife and always wanted to show her off to his friends. However, he always had a fear that she might runaway with some other man. He loved his second wife too. Whenever he faced some problems, he always turned to his second wife and she would always help him out. He did not love his first wife though she loved him deeply, was very loyal to him and took great care of him. One day the man fell very ill and knew that he is going to die soon. He told himself, *_"I have four wives. I will take one of them along with me when I die to keep me company in my death."_* Thus, he asked the fourth wife to die along with him and keep him company. *_"No way!"_* she replied and walked away without another word. He asked his third wife. She said *_"Life is so good over here. I'm going to remarry when you die"._* He then asked his second wife. She said *_"I'm Sorry. I can't help you this time around. At the most I can only accompany you till your grave."_* By now his heart sank and he turned cold. Then a voice called out: *_"I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go."_* The man looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the man said, *_"I should have taken much better care of you while I could have!"_* Actually, we all have four wives in our lives. a. *The fourth wife is our body.* No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die. b. *The third wife is our possession, status and wealth.* When we die, they go to others. c. *The second wife is our family and friends.* No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave. d. *The first wife is our soul,* neglected in our pursuit of material wealth and pleasure. It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. What will it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul.... Happy Sunday.. |

Antonio Conte called Eden Hazard the "complete player" after his two goals helped Chelsea to a 5-0 Premier League win over Everton at Stamford Bridge. Hazard put Chelsea ahead with a low shot before adding a superb second. The 25-year-old forward now has seven goals this season - but Conte focused on his all-round contribution after a win that takes his side top. "The most important thing I'm seeing with Eden is he's fantastic with the ball and without the ball," said Conte. Hazard scored just four times in the league last season and cut an unhappy figure in what proved to be the final days of Jose Mourinho's second spell as manager. The Belgium international appears reborn under Conte and Saturday's match marked the first time Hazard had scored two or more goals at Stamford Bridge in the league since February 2014. "He played an impressive game. We all know he's a talented player," Conte said. "I see that he's working a lot for the team and I think his team-mates are very happy for this. "He's a complete player, when he plays in this way - with the ball and without the ball. "He must continue because he has great talent and he's showing this in every game." BBC Match Of The Day pundit Ian Wright said: "Eden Hazard was world class against Everton. "I think Toffees boss Ronald Koeman picked the wrong day to pick three at the back." Conte's side have been in searing form since switching to the Italian's favoured 3-4-3 system, winning five games in a row, scoring 16 goals and conceding none. "I'm pleased because when you win in this way it is fantastic," he added. "All the players played in the right way with the ball and without the ball. "We created many chances to score and it is also the fifth clean sheet in a row. That is fantastic because you look at the past and you can think that this is incredible to reach this result. "It's a pity that we have to stop now for the international break. I wanted to continue."

"Awolowo was 37 years, Akintola 36, Ahmadu Bello 36, Balewa 34, Okotie-Eboh 27 and Enahoro 27 and they led the struggle for Nigeria Independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time! In 1966, the first military coup was led by K Nzeogwu who was 29 years and countered by M. Mohammed 28, T. Danjuma 28, I. Babangida 25, J. Garba 23, Sani Abacha 23, and M. Yar'adua 23, and brought into power Y. Gowon 32, Ojukwu 33, Obasanjo 29, and Buhari 24! Most of the military governors who governed the states under the successive military regimes were under 30 years. Also, the brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military interregnums also saw some Senators and members of the House of Representatives, in particular, populated by persons under 30! Under 30's were also not in short supply with appointments - we have examples of MT Mbu who became Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a Federal Adviser at 27 and so on and so forth! NOW: Why is it that almost all this age bracket is today still sleeping in 3-seater chairs in their parents’ homes? Why is it that this age bracket is today still collecting pocket money from their parents? Why is it that this age bracket is today still writing JAMB? Why is it that this age bracket today still 'sagg' their trousers? Why is it that this age bracket is today still searching for jobs and not yet married? Why is it that this age bracket is today no longer qualified to even be leaders of youth wings of political parties? Why is it that this age bracket is today so docile? Why is this age bracket today incapable of feeding itself? Why is it that this age bracket is today barred from even aspiring to certain political offices? Why is it that this age bracket is today incapacitated, unwilling, unable and incapable of asking questions? GOD BLESS NIGERIA!" From Prof Wole Soyinka. This is real Food for Thought!!! |
