Thanks for this info. I already have a place to stay and my cousin has sent his resident permit. Looking at 3k rands for 6 days including bus fare to and fro Durban.

Submitted on 3rd March and got a text to pick up today. The visa was denied on ground of insufficient funds. What should be my minimum balance and do I have to pay all the visa application fee again? Meanwhile, I can go to any ABC tansport office to buy ur ticket. Know that its cheaper to buy ur accra to lagos ticket here than for you to buy it in accra. Good luck

No, however make sure s/he knows your arrival time and have the phone handy in the likely event s/he is called.

As opposed to hotel booking, you should have copy of the following from your host with you:
Invitation letter
Rent/tenancy agreement documents.
Residence permit

Hello house, I recently had an interview in US embassy for non immigrant visa thats B1/B2 but was denied. I have been to Ghana and republic of Benin in 2013 but got my in'l passport in Nov 2014. I filled that I have been to those places but it didn't reflect in my passport. What do I do if I want apply again? Thanks
